I bought RD303 (Mandarin Mix) and OR302 (Apricot Macaron) while I was in Tokyo at some downstairs department store. I think it was about 1400 Yen after tax. A little pricey, but the exchange rate was good during my trip, so I would say just okay price range. Not great, but not terrible. I bought these two because they seemed the most pigmented on the tester stand at the time, while also being unique to my collection. I think RD401 was realistically the MOST pigmented on the stand at the time, but I own a lot of red blushes, so I decided to purchase the two I did.
RD303 is a beautiful LE swirl of white and varying shades of tangerine-coral blusher. However, once applied it is more or less just a coral pink. It gives you that flushed pink color, that goes on light at first, but has fairly buildable color up to a certain point, but won’t ever get to red. It also won’t really pull super orange, despite the name. It stays fairly inside that coral pink zone at all times for me on NC25 skin tone.
At first I noticed I had a bit of a hard time picking up a heavy amount on color on my MAC blush brush, but after a few swirls I got more powder than I bargained for. Because of all the white highlighter color in it I feel it goes on fairly light at first. I wanted to try that deep pink undereye blush look, but it was harder than I thought to build up to that heavy color.
The texture is a soft and powdery satin finish, giving a cute fairy look to your makeup. However, it wasn’t anything amazing and the color lacked refinement and depth so I would recommend it generally more for someone interested in a younger look.
The packaging is a metal case and inside when you open it for the first time is a round piece of hard plastic separating the blush puff from the blush itself. The puff is so cute! It has a little matching orange bow on it. Honestly, if you aren’t expecting it, it’ll stop you for a second. Too cute! It also survived the trip back to the US in one piece after I dropped my luggage with it inside at least 3 times and also when the contents spilled out of my bag from being flipped over when I got home. It is a sturdy blusher for sure.
The amount in the container seems sort of small, especially if you use a heavy hand, but I own so many blushers it won’t be a problem. It also feels like I’d hit bottom of the pan really quick, but I think that’s just a deception of the thin metal casing vs a thick plastic case. There is 4g of product in the blush and I believe a MAC powder blush has 6g. I think it is plenty of product to enjoy. Sometimes when I buy a point color cosmetic item that has physically a lot in it, it’s hard to justify buying more of it in another color so think of the smaller amount as an opportunity to try other colors in the line! 🙂
Overall I would recommend this blush for a light girly look, but for a heavy color payoff look, this would leave you wanting. I would however purchase it again if I lost it ’cause it is cute and fun.

If you’re into pretty packaging like me, then these puff de cheek blushes by MM are definitely for you! The small tin cans are so cute and handy. The colors are so lovely too. I have the macarons in Raspberry, Peach, and Cherry, all such pretty not over the top colors. I havent tried using the puff that comes with it, coz I just use my blush brush to apply. The tiny shimmers in the Raspberry and Cherry blushes are subtle and really pretty. I think these shades would look best in fair skin tones. I am fair with yellow undertones and I love the way these blushes look on me. Price isnt so expensive either! Love these. 🙂

Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek blushes come in some pretty shades, but are anemically pigmented, don’t last through a long humid day, and the texture isn’t the best–dry, and I prefer unctious. I much prefer Majolica Majorca’s rectangular blushes to these. The packaging is adorable but mine collected dust until I purged it.

This blusher comes in the prettiest tin with a cute yet functional puff. You have to love Japanese attention to detail. The plastic separator comes printed with instructions to keep the separator in the tin to keep the puff clean and prevent loss of powder.
The powder requires patience to blend in and also fades quite easily. You can get quite a rich colour if you layer. I have this in Peach Macaron PK301 which I find goes well with coral lippie. For the price and prettiness, having to reapply throughout the day might not be so bad.

Majolica Majorca (mysteriously abbreviated as MJ as opposed to MM) is a bestselling drugstore line by Shiseido. The whole line has a princess-y feel in the vein of Jill Stuart and Anna Sui, but retails for much lower since it is open-shelf. In Japan, it competes directly with Kanebo’s Lavshuca and BCL’s Love Clover. The bestseller is the mascara, which I personally am not crazy about, though the highly pigmented eyeshadows and blushers are popular too. The “Puff de Cheek” cream blush, introduced in spring 2011, comes in a round tin container that’s designed to look like a macaron, and has a puff applicator inside. There are four colors available: PK301 Peach Macaron (more peach than pink), OR302 Apricot Macaron, PK303 Strawberry Macaron (limited edition), and #82 Vanilla Macaron (limited edition highlighter). I have the PK301 Peach Macaron and absolutely love the shade. Compared to the hallmark peach blush, Nars Orgasm, it has no shimmer and the color is darker. But the quality is terrific, down to the applicator, and not just by drugstore standards–this is better than some department-store blushes I have (i.e. Lunasol and Burberry, but not Josie Maran). At first I was skeptical because the puff seems to pick up the color unevenly, but if you do two dabs, it goes on well. And lasts long. Layers nicely with powder blush too. You can also forgo the puff and apply by fingertip, since it is a cream blush. If you are on a blush kick, check out Canmake, another Japanese drugstore brand known for its cream blushes.
