I have worn Alima Pure Beige 2 foundation for years. I always wanted to find the right Alima blush, but experienced multiple online ordering failures. Mimosa and Apple blossom were too light; others were too obvious. I was afraid to even try the Luminous Shimmer ones, because I can’t stand sparkles. I encountered Leigh in a store, and it kind of works for me, if I use a light hand. It’s not too sparkly. I will never need to buy it again, though, because it’s gonna last forever. (This is probably why Alima stopped sending out blush samples. With the right sample, you would never need to buy!)
EDIT: Okay, it took awhile to see how wrong I was. (Not to mention the salesgirl who pushed it on me.) It’s still a nice blush, but it’s too peachy to work with my cool/neutral undertone, or my cool red lipsticks. I have rosacea, so blush is always super problematic for me. The only one I have ever been able to wear consistently is the extremely subtle shade called Creation, by Mineral Fusion.

This was overwhelmingly shimmery on my skin, which was not what I expected
In the jar it looks muted and pretty, but on my NC15 skin this was just a little too dark even when applied with a very light hand.
I found that with Alima blushes they are very pigmented and have to be applied sparingly. On my pale skin it is easy for the blushes to be garish, and Leigh is no exception.
I wouldn’t buy this particular color again but I am looking at other blush colors in this brand.

This is a very pretty color, very soft. In the jar, it looks darker than I thought it would be on my face, so I was a little worried. On my face, applied lightly, it is a very natural looking rosy color. But it can also be applied more heavily for a darker rose color. There is no shimmer to speak of, so if you like visible shimmer, this may not be for you. But all in all, I like the look it gives me and now I have to decided whether or not I like this one more then Apricot…plus I still have yet to try my sample of Honey Rose, which who knows, could be the best of the three! If I wasn’t on a budget, I’d get them all. 🙂
