I found this to be absolutely great in terms of giving my lips and cheeks a natural colour. It seems that modest reflects a natural colour of lips (my lip colour anyway) but just makes it a bit brighter. Similarly, it makes a very natural looking blush. I was looking for something like that for a long time, as I found that other brand blushes look very unnatural: are shiny/sparkly and don’t blend well with natural skin colour, giving it a strange too pink/red/orange look. RMS lip2cheek makes cheeks look like you just pinched them or just came back from the cold, lovely!
It is a small pot, but I could not believe how little you need to give colour to lips and cheeks, its very concentrated.

This is the first blush/lip cream that I’ve ever tried that actually looks good on both cheeks and lips. Usually for me, blushes look awful on lips, lip sticks can work but can be too bright + shiny. Not this one, or at least not with this colour.
Modest is a medium clear pink that looks a bit too intense in the pot, but applies and blends beautifully. In the same way that you’re meant to let your skin care settle in for 5-10 min, this (and un-cover) actually looks better after a few minutes when its settled into your skin, because it looks like your skin but better. With a pretty flush. Friends who haven’t seen me in a while have been saying “don’t you look well rested! Have you been exercising more?” (The answer would be an unhealthy no)
And on the lips! Marvelous. I happen to like the matchy matchy look (match your blush to your lip colour) so these are made for me. I actually got samples from Spirit Beauty Lounge, the decision between Smile and Modest was a hard one! But the lip colour qualities of Modest won out for me. On its own, its more of a stain, over a lip shine (I have bloom) it turns into a creamy lovely lip stick finish.
Sigh,,, my love affair continues with this brand.
