I absolutely love this stuff. It’s an HG. I have a berry tint and use it exclusively on my cheeks. The color is amazing and versatile, and it always makes me look younger and more awake. I can use it directly on my face, over foundation, or over foundation with powder. It has lasted me forever and I’ll finally buy more. Not too pigmented but not too diluted either. I don’t know… Just perfect.

This is a great product. I bought this product on sale and it has lasted me awhile. I really like and to be honest it wears beautifully once I learned how to apply it. It took me months to learn the proper application for this product however once I did learn it there was not going back. I used to use benetint before this however that became expensive and the colors were not versatile for me so I had to pick another brand and that is when I came across this. I own this is 2 colors and love wearing both of them. I would purchase it again however it looks like they maybe phasing this one out.

I’m a classic blush kind of gal, so this was hard to learn how to use. Easy to under or over apply or leave streaks. I did like wearing it when I was going for a ‘makeup free’ look so it was subtle. No shimmer to it. If I wanted a more obvious blush I would layer with a light dust of blush powder. I tried the lightest pink shade and it takes a lot of product to be visible on my fair-medium skin tone. Worth a try for experimenting but not a makeup staple.

I have this in the colour Dark Cherry. I’ve tried other pinks and reds in this line, but Dark Cherry is the only colour that looks really natural against my fair-medium skin. (All of the reds look the same as each other on the cheeks, and same for the pinks, but the real difference between shades can be seen on the lips.)
I love it. I use it as a base under sheerer lipsticks. When I was on holiday and in a pinch, I would literally just dab some on my lips, swipe with my finger, use the excess left on finger on my cheeks, apply some more on cheeks if needed, and go.
That brings me on to application method – a lot of people say this looks blotchy or patchy, but swiping this product on your lips as if it were a liquid lipstick will definitely mean uneven application. This product is watery – you have to work with it. Rather than swiping, just dab a few dots on your bottom lip, rub that in, and then use whatever is left on your fingers for your top lip and/or cheeks (some people may not like the idea of getting their fingers messy – a cotton bud could be used instead, or whichever tool you find easier. I don’t think I’d use a lip brush, though.) I emphasise applying in steps because this product seems to dry quickly, especially on the cheeks.
Definitely recommend – you may need to try a few shades before you find the perfect one, so go to the store to check these out. I’m MAC NC25-30 for reference.

Wow I didn’t expect to like this very much at all. I’m one of those people who hates the feeling of lipsticks and glosses but still wants a flush of color in my lips. I kid you not, my go to method for that was to apply lipstick and then wipe it off on the back of my hands. This left some color on my lips but not too much, and I didn’t feel like I was wearing any lipstick. Win-win. Well thank god I don’t have to do that anymore because of these lip stains. I have them in Dark Cherry and Deep Berry, and I love them. You can play with how intense you want it to look by the amount you apply. I apply a tiny bit and it gives me a perfect hint of color.

Good for cherks, not for lip

I purchased this as a lip stain and it doesn’t apply evenly for me no matter what I do. Looks blotchy. Would not repurchase.

I purchased this in the shade Deep Berry 029 before realizing that Essence cosmetics makes a lip tint that’s much more affordable. I wouldn’t repurchase this only because it costs CAD$16 vs. the Essence Tint & Colour Shot in 05 Classic Simplicity, which was CAD$3.99. Granted the amount of product is wildly different in each (7.2ml vs. 1.8ml), but if you’re like me and don’t tend to go through products quickly, you’d be better off purchasing the Essence lip tint. Both shades are nearly identical, and wear time is similar, although I found myself reapplying more often with The Body Shop’s lip stain. I also noticed that if I eat or drink, the product rubs off easily even though it’s supposed to stain the lips, not sit on top. The whole reason I wanted a lip stain/tint was because I don’t wear a lot of makeup and I don’t like anything that’s fussy or that I need to reapply constantly, but still wanted something for days when I’d like to be more made up, so it was disappointing that it didn’t last as long as I’d hoped.

Expensive! Leaves your lips partially tinted (I tried the darker shade, and people asked me if I was okay since I had a bleeding lip. As a blusher it stained too quickly to properly blend in and left an unhealthy looking flush. Definitely not purchasing again

I purchased this in Deep Berry and Dusty Rose. The formulas appear different between these two. In the Dusty Rose, the color is very similar to a natural pink lip color. I have added some of the Deep Berry to darken the color slightly. The price is around $15 but you can get deals at the store to help reduce the cost. It is not a liquid as others have mentioned. The issues I have between the Dusty Rose are that the Dusty Rose leaves a white residue after drying. I have to re-moisten my lips to make it go away. That does not happen with the Deep Berry however withe Deep Berry I do get some bleeding into my lines. I have tried to line the outer lip with a pencil hoping that helps. It does not last through a meal but can last several hours if not drinking or eating. I would probably not repurchase. I also would not recommend the Dusty Rose as it does not add enough color and with the other issues, just not worth the cost. If I can get the bleeding issues resolved, I would consider purchasing the Deep Berry (which is more of a bright red color).

I use the original shade 01 stain. It is basically a much more affordable version of Benetint lip and cheek stain. The main reason why I use this is because it enhances the natural colour of my lips but still allows me to enjoy kissing my husband without the stress of getting gunk all over his face. For this reason alone I will keep repurchasing!! Oh, and you can keep applying loads and it still looks really nice and doesn’t stain!

I love this lip stain, it is the just flushed natural kind of pink that all lip stains wish they were. I adore this product and have been faithfully using it for more than a year. If you ever stop making it…I will cry big crocodile tears. Have re-purchased 3 X already and just stocked up on the buy 3 get 3, most coveted item in my beauty arsenal

I have this in 026 Bright Peony. It’s a pretty good cheek and lip stain, although I’ve only used it on the lips. Very easy and quick to apply, dries down after a minute or two. The new formulation is great, very pigmented and has some moisture, it only starts to dry my lips out very lightly after an hour or 2. The price is also decent compared to some of the other stuff out there I got it for $24 (in Australia).
If I don’t eat it will stay on for about 4-5 hours, but if I eat it removes most of the product immediately leaving only a very faint stain. However it does reapply fairly well – no streakiness. Also it doesn’t bleed or feather at all and doesn’t need a lip liner.
I found that there is a bit of transfer/crumbling onto cups etc. but if I blotted it with a tissue a couple of times after applying and drying the product, it was mostly fine.
Main con would be that there was a very limited colour range, really wish there was more to choose from as it was mostly bright pinks and reds. That being said I want to try a red one next.

In looking for a dupe for benetint (for lips) that doesn’t cost $40 CAD, I gave this a try for around $10. The color (Deep Berry) is great and the effect is exactly what I like in a stain, very subtle and brightens your complexion without looking or feeling like you’re wearing any lip product. I took two lippies off though because the product just isn’t as liquid as benetint… Its more of a goop, and too much product is on the applicator. So when you apply a little bit to your lips and press them together, the product just goops up on the edges of your lips rather than spreading evenly. You have to take your finger or a separate brush to spread the product out for an even layer. The problem with that is it’s a stain… It stays on my fingertip through hours until I am able to scrub it off. Also, it doesn’t last that long on lips. While I do drink a lot of water and it doesn’t transfer to the glass, it still wears off in about 4 hours.
I really don’t think benetint is worth it for the amount of product you get and the hefty price, so I will keep trying different substitutes. This one is probably fine if you aren’t bothered by the messy application, but personally, I’ll keep searching.

When I first used this product, I loved it. The product went nicely over my lips and was a cute blush also. I loved the colour – it was quite a deep pink but super natural and wearable. I loved the applicator also.
However, the second time I used this product, the stain went on terrible over my lips, despite buffing the skin. It only stuck to the inside of my lips and nowhere else. The wear also isn’t great – I don’t expect an extraordinary amount of wear from a stain, but I’d still like something that lasts longer than half an hour.
Still really cute on the cheeks and I love that The Body Shop is against animal testing, but not one of their best products. Will finish using however…. hopefully it’ll go nicely on my lips again one day and that bad day was just a one off!

I rate this as 4.5 but just bumped it up to 5. I’ve used up 2 bottles of this product and I really do love it. I love how if you use the product on your cheeks, it stains beautifully. For the lips, I find it a bit drying but it doesn’t claim to be a moisturizer so I can’t really argue with that. Probably the only con I can think of is its packaging as it has a doe foot applicator which could be a bit unhygienic. I personally don’t mind it but it could be a problem for some.

True to its name, this stuff really does stain your skin. It’s gorgeous but a bit tricky to remove. I’ve not tried it on my lips so not sure how it goes there but as a cheek stain, very impressed.

I search for some reviews to convince myself to buy this product or not, cuz my mom told me to buy nyx lip matte than buy this.
But, after I found some reviews and bcs Im so curious with this product, then I bought this yay. And………… luckily, this product amaze me *except its price*
I really like its red color with some blink blink, even when I apply it when it still wet or after a bit dry.
It has a long stick and it really helps me to apply the lipstain on my lips. But, I never apply it on my cheek till now, bcs I have sensitive cheek and it blush easily, so Im afrai it’ll make my cheek overly-red
So, if you like half-lipgloss-half-lipstick product, yet you dont want them both, you should try this. And theres 2 color options, pink-purple and red. I never try the pink-purple on bcs Im in love with the red one.

Although the packaging is kinda meh , I’m in tint heaven ! It looks so great on my lips and the vibrant colour just brightens up my pale complexion !

I love this product! I hate putting lipstick everyday or having to fix every now and then. This lipstain saved me! I put around 2-3 coats to get an amazing red-natural colour and i use a clear lip balm over it and i’m done! It lasts sooo long and even when it fades it doesn’t look bad. Only thing is.. be sure to exfoliate before using it because it doesn’t look good on chaped lips.
