I am quite fair skinned and this is a very flattering shade that lasts through the day. Gives my cheek bones a slightly sculpted look, though I do not use this as full on contour. I wear it both alone and at times as a bottom layer to colored blushes. Velvet texture and effortless blending. Pigment level is “just right” as it is neither super pigmented nor under pigmented. Easy to work with.

This Burberry blush would have to be the most versatile in my collection. It can look quite boring in the pan, but on the skin it warms up to a very natural flush. Some people can get by using this as a contour, I am a tad too dark for that. I absolutely love this blush and would not hesitate to recommend.

I had the same thoughts as the previous reviewer… I’m very pale (NW5-10) and cool toned with blonde hair and light hazel eyes and I never thought this would work for me. But it’s absolutely stunning and so beautifully natural. And versatile too. I can pair it with any eye or lip look and it flatters anything I choose. I use a light hand when applying and usually just wear it as an upswept blush rather than solely as a contour. I start on the high point of the apples of my cheeks and lightly brush it upwards on my cheekbones using light swirly movements with a fluffy synthetic blush brush (Hourglass’s Foundation/Blush Brush #2). The effect is so understated but really makes a difference. Sometimes I add a little pale pink blush to the apples of my cheeks after applying this and I love the softly dimensional, healthy effect.
The color is more complex than it seems in the pan. It’s the perfect neutral, creamy fawn color with the barest hint of muted rose undertone. I avoid brown based colors on my skin because they can make me look tired or go dirty or orange-ish, but this manages to completely side step that issue. I think it would go more mushroom/taupe or pull a touch warmer depending on a person’s skin tone.
It feels buttery soft and dense, picks up easily on a brush but it’s not super powdery. The finish is great too, slightly satiny and just gives a very skin-like glow. Not a sheen by any means, just a very natural melding with my skin. I’m a huge fan of Burberry blushes because they never look like they sit on top of skin, even when I’m experiencing the occasional dry patch during the winter. There’s a faint floral fragrance but I’ve never had any issues with irritation or sensitivity. The sturdy, classic metal compact with secure magnetic closure is lovely too.
This is one of those products that truly feels unique in color and quality and exceeds every expectation. I get why it’s such a popular, beloved blush and I think it’s worth every penny.
