After considerable deliberation(reading reviews and looking at swatches)I grabbed this and am very happy. I have a light complexion with a lot of yellow and colors from the blue-red spectrum make for an interesting and very pretty break from my usual pink/coral/brown tones. I am a cream rouge person, always have been, I do think this looks best when I use a light wash of Chanel’s Blanc de Chine on my face. I no longer wear foundation, it just does not look good at my age(66), but I do use a variety of concealers which is an essential step before I go out my door, hell before I answer the phone because I look awake and refreshed as opposed to…well dreary.
This is a true mauve. I like the size of the compact because there is a broad round surface area that I can swirl my fingers in and pick-up just the right amount of color, the formula is not creamy as is the usual case with cream rouge, this seems to be a hybrid of wax/cream/gel which I like because I never seem to grab too much color at one time. The $29 price tag might seem intimidating but the color is so lovely and the formula unique that I think it’s money well spent.
As a previous reviewer noted this is well pigmented and lasted on me for about 3-4hours which is not typical for me as I absorb color and rouge/blush rarely last more than two hours. I did wear a powder blush on top to set it and I am a blush person(I look sickly without color on my face)but I think I will skip the powder blush on the next go-round

I have to admit, I also LOVE LOVE LOVE this shade. I am pale, and neutral-to-cool and most cream blushes look overly red / orange on me. This colour looks like a believable blush on my skin tone. It looks TERRIBLE in the pot lol. Even swatched was a bit ‘eek’ – it almost looks like a contour. But weirdly enough, when you blend it out it’s stunning. My search is finally over! I will buy everything from this brand just to make sure it never goes under so I can always buy this blush.

Finally, finally, a cream blush that’s a true mauve–not pink, not purple, but mauve. The shade is reminiscent of Laura Mercier’s late, lamented (by me) Opera powder blush. This product comes packaged in a good-sized, sturdy black compact with a lovely silver design on the top and a mirror inside. It is well pigmented and is creamy but not too much so (the texture in the compact is slightly firmer than that of other cream blushes I have, like Stila CC), which allows easy application without overapplication. I use my fingers to pat the blush on. It blends easily and beautifully and gives a lovely, glowy satin finish that lasts. Really lasts–I had no fading or transfer in an 8-hour period in 100+ degree weather. The shade looks very cool and grey–almost unwearable–in the pan, but although it’s still cool-toned on the skin, it’s not unnaturally so, and the color becomes a beautiful, natural mauve glow. This is a very good, quality product, and at $24 for the compact, I think it’s a bargain given the pigmentation, staying power, and hard-to-find shade. I would repurchase and am looking forward to trying more products from Rituel De Fille.
