My first and likely last contour product. Nothing against this blush — it’s perfectly fine but I kept pulling it out of my stash and putting it back for the better part of a year, waiting for that magical moment when contour application would “click” for me (never did). I wasn’t the biggest fan of the cool, muddy color to begin with and find myself gravitating more towards products that create warmth on my face, not shadow. The pigment was okay but the application was slightly patchy, which doesn’t really matter now that it’s been discontinued!

I really like this one and use it as a blusher (for lack of visible cheekbones, I prefer wearing this in the Korean ‘drunk blush’ style). I have olive skin and the shade works so well for me. I can see how this can appear muddy, if applied incorrectly. My technique is to first apply a very small amount of lip/cheek tint on the upper part of my cheeks almost in line with the bridge of my nose. Then I layer this with the Nyx Taupe Blush using a fan brush so that application is more sheer and controlled. Note that Nyx has the taupe powder in both glowy and matte versions, and both are good in my opinion.

As most people here, I bought this as a contour for fair skin (I’m NW10). I don’t recommend it because it’s too gray on me. It might look good in person but in pictures my contour looks too dark and grayish. To make it look decent you have to be extremely careful and use the smallest amount of product. I bought it for around 2 dollars, so it’s not a big loss, and now I sometimes use it as an eyeshadow.

Picked this up for the 1st time a few years ago after doing some research on good contours for very pale skin on Youtube. This blush from NYX works really well for – I am very pale (the lightest shade in most foundations) and have a neutral skin tone (that leans slightly more cool/pink than yellow). Anyway, I have tried a couple other contours recommended for pale skin, but keep coming back to this one from NYX. It is HG for me. I find it to be super pigmented but I blend it out with a fluffy brush stroking upward on the face. I love this product.

I bought this ages ago under the recommendation of NikkieTutorials as a good product to contour with when you are on a budget! I have to say I really enjoy the way it looks on my skin and it lasts well. Yes, I agree with others that it can look gray on certain skin tones – but not on mine. That’s definitely an opinion that will vary by person.
I ran out of this product after about a year of use and my store didn’t have this shade in stock. I decided to pick up a different product and realized – this had been the culprit behind my acne. I had used this product for a while before breaking out, so once the acne developed I had just assumed it was bacteria from my phone. After switching products the zits disappeared.
Even though I broke out from the product, I would recommend it for a person to try because it doesn’t break the bank and if the color works for your skin (without breaking you out) it is a good drugstore find. Unfortunately, I personally had to deduct two stars for my rating simply because of my skin’s reaction!

This is not a contour shade for any skintone. It’s known as a ‘contour for fair skintones’ but it’s straight up gray and looks muddy, ashy and dirty. Blends terribly. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

This broke me out terribly. I have never had a single cosmetic item break me out the way that this did. I don’t know what it is about it, other powders I’ve used have had similar ingredients… but holy, this destroyed my skin in a matter of days. If you are acne prone, my advice is to stay away from this. The positives about this product, however: colour is fantastic for fair skin contouring, lasting power is slightly above average, price is fair, packaging is cute… I really do wish I could use it.

Nyx is selling these as “refills” for custom palettes, and I got one of these to try as a contour for pale skin.
It is nice. It is a grayish rose, and it is sheer. It is great for a shadowy contour look.
I don’t know that I will use it every day, but I do like it.

I really like the shade of this. I use it for contouring and it doesn’t look ashy on my NC15-20 skin. I have to say that the texture is very powdery and it lasts around 5 hours on my skin.

Can’t believe how long I slept on this. This shade is perfect for contouring for pale, neutral-toned skin like mine. After using ABH powder contour palette forever (which is good but nothing extraordinary) and running out of the one shade I could use in it, this is a great substitute. There really aren’t many contour palettes that offer more than one shade that’s cool-toned enough for my skin so if you’re like me, this is a way more economical option. Only thing is I wish it would last a bit longer on the skin but with a good base it shouldn’t really be a problem.
