I had my eye on the HD Blush in Soft Spoken from NYX for quite a while, and I recently picked it up when I returned something to Ulta. The texture is super-soft, which is nice for application but not so nice for the product not crumbling in the pan. I do not like the fact that the blush is so delicate and it can never be taken when I am traveling. The packaging looks okay from the outside, but it doesn’t do anything to protect the product inside. Shade-wise, it is pretty but nothing spectacular; it is a sheer pale, milky peach that barely shows up on my NC10ish skin. Some people might like that, so if you’re pale and you want a very subtle blush then this is for you. I will keep it and use it, but considering the marks against it I don’t think I would repurchase or buy other shades from the line. NYX is a brand that generally hits it out of the park for me, but I prefer their original blushes and their mosaic blushes way more.

I really like this blush. I have the shade Soft Spoken – peachy tones are my favorite. It has a subtle sheen which I like and it applies very smoothly. It is powdery as others have said, but that doesn’t bother me. Really nice, affordable product.

I got this in the shade Hamptons. The peachy pink colour is very flattering on my super pale skin and has no shimmer at all which I like. It’s quite powdery but doesn’t look it once it’s on. Lasts ages, unlike my Sleek blusher which disappears after a few hours. Comes in a cute little case with a bow on the clasp. I use it with the illuminating powder in Ritualistic which I also love.

I love this stuff! I bought Bitten as a bronzer and I actually just use it as a blush lol. I normally like bright pigmented blush but this is perfect for fall/winter. I don’t really care for the clasp though, it drives me nuts.I lose 5 minutes of my life every week to that clasp. All in all, it’s an amazing product!

I have fair skin, and I love having a good red blush on hand for days when I want to attempt the Snow White look. After using NARS Exhibit A for years and finally hitting pan on it, I was on the hunt for a cruelty free alternative and I found it in the Nyx HD Blush in Crimson. In the pan, its a shocking orange based tomato red. Applied with a very light hand and blended out on the apples of the cheeks, this color gives me the exact look that I want. I’ve also used this blush on various clients when I’m doing wedding makeup, and I love it across the board. On fair skin tones, it gives that Snow White look that I mentioned above, and it gives a healthy apricot glow to deeper, richer skin tones. On me and on everyone else that I’ve used this blush on, it gives a fresh “just in from the cold” appearance or the appearance of a natural invigorated flush but again, blend blend blend because this shade is easy to overdo.
The formula is good and it plays nicely with all the foundations and sunscreens that I’ve paired it with. It’s a powdery formula so you can expect it to kick up some powder, and tap your brush off before applying it. For me, this isn’t a deal breaker.
I see where other users experienced breakouts from this blush, but luckily that hasn’t happened to me, and my finicky, sensitive skin hasn’t been affected by reaching for this nearly every day.
One thing that surprised me is how long this blush stays on the skin. For me, this formula will actually stay put (if applied over foundation or mineral powder) for a good six or seven hours. It actually stays put on my skin longer than NARS or my trusty old MAC blushes, though your mileage may vary of course. I’m impressed with this formula and I might try a few more shades. The blush retails at Ulta and Walgreens for less than six dollars so it’s worth trying.

I’m pretty late in the nyx game since it came to finland in 15.03.15 and I’ve been taking care of 2 babies shortly ever since. But I just finally had a me time and bought this blush among other things at the closest nyx counter which isn’t so close at all, but beside the baby gadget store so that’s why it was accessible. Snatched double dare. It was this true orange, like cinnamon. Love it to bits. Mac satin devil used to be my favorite blush as it’s so pigmented and easy to apply. But this was also the kind of blush that requires light hand. Love how it shows on my NC40 skin. The packaging was cute, compact, travel friendly and easy to store in a chaotic morning makeup vanity storage. Would definitely repurchase when I ran out, but probably would last some time. Price was 9 euros. Mac was 32 euros if I remember correctly. Definitely worth the price!

I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and I started using “nude tude” as a contour colour. I am sure this has caused me to breakout, as I have new trails of comedones on either side of my cheeks where I place the contour shading. Would not recommend if you have acne-prone skin.
Also, the package was very hard to open, every single time. I will go back to using my Cover FX bronzer in suntan which is a very cool-toned brown, and is definitely non-comedogenic.

the price wasn’t bad at all. I got mine at ulta for about $6.00 (US) and the packaging is pretty cute.
However, I got mine in Pink the Town and it broke me out. I thought it would be perfect since I love matte blushes but I was wrong.
DISCLAIMER: not bashing NYX. This blush just didn’t work out for me.

I purchased Nude, since I don’t have anything like it. It’s fairly neutral, I don’t see any hints of pink or orange, and it’s slightly darker than my skin tone (NC20). The color is just fine for minimal makeup days or if I don’t want color on my cheeks but still want to looks polished ( this isn’t dark enough to contour with).
the compacts are tiny, but they’re sleek and you get a decent amount of product. This colour in particular kicks up a lot of powder.
I’d buy it again.

This review is specifically for the shade “taupe”.
I have fair/Olivey skin. I have a very hard time finding a contour shade that does not orange. It’s a beauty colour with grey undertones. I like to put on a bronzer first and then I go in with this shade on a medium sized tapered blush brush.
Some grey shades can look muddy, but this one blends out beautifully.
My only qualm with this product is that, you have to be careful about dipping your brush in too aggressively, my first product crumpled. I have repurchased it, and I would buy it again.
