This is a review for the shade 05. Really a great product, gives a very natural, skin-like flush to the complexion. It is drugstore, so quite affordable. Plus: it can last you a very long time!

Love these blushes! They blend really well and it is easy to get a precise application with these. They don’t make the foundation underneath rub off when you apply them, which is something I encountered with elf’s cream blush palette. There are so many colors to choose from. Seriously can’t go wrong with this product, such a classic!

YouTube videos and pictures made this look a lot bigger than it actually is; when I got it in the mail, it was around half the size I imagined it to be. Don’t buy this from amazon; it is very expensive. It’s also more matte than I wanted it to be; the website says that it leaves a dewy finish. If anyone owns the color 16 or wants the color 16 and also owns the glossier cloud paints, just mid storm and the bright orange shade (90:10), and you’ll get the same color with a dewier finish. There’s nothing wrong with the product, but this wasn’t what I was expecting from reviews and photos. If you’re new to cream blushes, this might be a food product to start with

I’ve never used a cream blush before so when I was in Tokyo I decided to buy one of these Cream Cheeks. They’re cheap and have good reviews, so why not?
I picked #16 Almond Terracotta because the other colours seemed too pastel or too bright to look flattering on my muted, neutral-olive NC20 skin. I was a bit hesitant at first because #16 looked so dark in the pan, but I bought it anyways since it was only ¥580.
I am so glad I took the chance! This immediately became my favourite blush (taking the place of my gorgeous Hourglass blushes). I love the convenience of using my fingers, and if I’m in a hurry I can just throw this small compact in my bag and swipe some on while in the car. This brick red colour easily sheers out into a glowy, rosy, sunkissed terracotta shade. It’s a super beautiful colour.
The formula is lightweight and blends like butter. I find that even if I accidentally apply too much it never looks clownish because of how well it blends into the skin. This blush lasts 10+ hours on me (I use it on top of the Canmake Mermaid Skin UV Gel which can also be a primer). It’s absolutely wonderful!
However, I do want to mention that this is not going to be smudgeproof, but it is transferproof. If I rub my face with a tissue, some will come off but if I simply touch my cheeks then there’s no problem since it does dry down. Please note that I never wear foundation so I don’t know how it will work on top of base products.
Overall, I’m in love with this. It’s been 3 months since I first bought Almond Terracotta and I already hit pan. I’ve been using it practically everytime I go out. I like to hoard products I love so I’m going to have a friend buy two more of #16 for me. Definitely recommended, especially the colour Almond Terracotta.

The pigment is insanely high quality with a genuinely powerful colour payoff. A little goes a long way. I also love using colour #5 as eyeshadow to bring a little summer-heading-into-autumn style glow. It wears evenly on my oily lids even when in a humid tropical climate.

I didn’t buy these for the longest time, since I couldn’t see what would make a cream blush special. There has never been a cream blush I noted as good before now and they’re all quite same-y.
The more opaque shades without the CL prefix aren’t really different to other cream blushes out there, although the shades are pretty. The CL/Clear type shades though – they are amazing! I only need a small amount, then blend and it melts seamlessly onto my cheek. Foundation or no foundation, it applies just as well but you need to tap it in a little lighter applying over foundation.
They are a bit sticky/slippery in the pot but when blended out they become a velvet powdery sheer colour, setting matte.
Once on, they don’t budge – Japanese longwearing products are seriously good at staying in place. The overall effect is a noticeable and pretty flushed appearance while still looking as if it’s natural.
Really love these blushes!
Update 27/7/18:
The clear type ones also apply nicely using a soft stippling brush with widely spaced bristle bundles, allowing for a more even and sheer application. A quick and light swipe of the brush in the product, swirling it on the back of my hand to remove excess, then applying to my cheeks with feather light small circle strokes. Results in a lovely watercolour soft blush that is like a natural flush but better.

Ditched my MAC blush ever since I discovered this! I snagged 05 (a peachy shade) and CL05 (a coral shade) when I was in Tokyo. I found these to be the most natural-looking of the colors available for my skin tone. While it’s difficult to blend most cream blushes, not so with these — they go on quite smoothly and are easy to blend out with either your fingers or a brush. 05 is more pigmented but has a bit of shimmer to it, though it isn’t noticeable from afar or if you aren’t applying too much product. CL05 has no shimmer but I find that it’s not as pigmented so you need to apply a bit more product. These blushes are so cheap in Tokyo and the mark-up is quite high when purchasing from most re-sellers abroad, so if you’re flying to Japan or know someone who is, much better to purchase there!

This is the blush that made me start wearing blush consistently. I’ve always found with blush shades it’s far too easy to overdo it, or the color looked either too muddy or chalky-white on my face. But my friend let me try her CL01 (the shade name is Clear Red Heart, which is one of those cases where the shade name actually accurately describes the product’s appearance), and I was sold.
It’s pure, clear red pigment with nothing else getting in the way, which is important to my coloring as a confirmed Bright Winter. It’s a cream blusher, so it blends really well into the skin, and so far I have not had any problems with it lasting poorly or turning greasy.
I wouldn’t recommend this for everyone, especially those who find themselves overwhelmed by too-bright colors on the face (and I mean from trial-and-error, not just looking at a pan of really bright blush and getting intimidated by it). And I haven’t tried any of the other colors in the line, so I can’t speak for those. But I do highly recommend CL01 if you have had success with intense bright blushes in the past (see NARS Desire for a cool version or Exhibit A for a warm version) or just never bothered with blush because the Bobbi Brown type neutrals don’t really work for you (and yes, I know BB makes blushes in brighter colors, but in my experience even her brighter offerings contain a substantial amount of brown, which makes them work really well for some women but terribly for others). It’s really hard to find cream blushers, doubly so in a bright color, which I find a real shame because I find that cream formulations give a natural kind of flush that powders just can’t duplicate.
I also use this on my lips, and am quite fond of the effect… it’s the closest thing I can wear to MLBB, when actual MLBB lipsticks often make me look ill.
As for the plastic packaging, I don’t mind it so much. It looks flimsy, but it actually holds together much better than a heavier case does. It doesn’t accidentally come open in my makeup bag, or shatter when I drop it, and the lack of bulk in the packaging means there’s actually a fair amount of product there for the size, which makes it good to carry around (I sometimes carry it in my pocket, if I’m going out for an impromptu date or lunch with friends, and I don’t want to carry the whole shebang with me).
Lastly, I’ve only tried CL01, but I’ve seen swatches of CL07 (Clear Ruby Cherry) and that has a similar finish to CL01. It’s similarly intense in pigmentation, and looks promising if you have a cooler and/or darker skin tone.

Very inexpensive product that gives a natural flush to your cheeks or lips which I love. I bought the pink and red version, the red one looks intense on the packaging but when you apply it it turns to a soft and natural red cheek color and also works well on your lips. I just really love how the color turns out on your face when you apply it, and please note that it blends easily.
I bought the pink one also and it gives a subtle yet very pinky flush to your cheeks which can look overly cute in my opinion. The pink color I find doesn’t very well as a lip color because it’s so light and makes the lips look a bit pale. Maybe it will look better on people with very bright and pale skin.

This was a super affordable product I bought from Japan. Got the shades in 05 and 07. It is very easy to apply and lasts all through the work day.
I dropped one lippie because there’s a weird glitter going on when I apply it to my cheeks. Because I have super oily skin, I don’t really appreciate glitter.
Other than that it’s a great blush and an affordable one. Packaging is really good for travelling too. It is also easy to blend and lasts for a long time after application.
