This is a nude beige blush that pulls orange on me. The shade is quite light and I’m very fair so if you are darker than light I don’t think it would show up on you at all. It’s has a slight sheen that makes it not look flat. It blends and applies beautifully and it lasts all day. The compact is plastic and clicks closed. It’s pretty sleek. I like this blush ok but I have quite a few dupes I like more with better payoff. Jouer adore duo is identical, even down to the two different shades but with better color payoff and builds easier and the lighter sight has more of a sheen. Mac Tenderling is slightly more pink. Kevyn Aucoin Arianna is slightly pinker.

My first Cheek-to-Chic was Ecstasy, and then over the course of the year, I collected these other shades: Love Glow, Love is the Drug, Sex on Fire, and most recently First Love. When I finally decided to buy Nude Kate lipstick, I saw that I could save a few bucks by purchasing the First Love set – it included a full size blush and full size Nude Kate for five dollars less than it would cost to buy them separately.
Some readers find it helpful to know the coloring of the reviewers, especially when we rave about a shade. A color that suits me might not suit someone with a different skin tone. So for reference, I wear C3 in MAC’s Studio Fix Powder Plus. MAC’s NC15 foundations are too light for me but I’m on the paler side of NC20. I generally wear the Sand shade in Bobbi Brown’s foundations. So I’m relatively fair, blonde, but usually not the lightest in a shade range.
First Love is the lightest Cheek-to-Chic Charlotte offers, and it’s great for people who don’t want cheeks that are very rosy but still want to wear color on the cheekbones to warm up the complexion. First Love, as others have noted, has a beige outer ring with micro-fine shimmer and a peachy tan center. It’s a lovely “nude” blush that blends like a dream, ideal for porcelain skin and it looks great on a cousin of mine who has reddish hair. It’s lighter than the bronze shade in Ecstasy, but it gives the cheeks a similar warmth. I have combination skin and the color stays true all day on me without fading.
If you want a rosy flush, the next shade, Love Glow, is a neutral pink that is closer to the “I’ve been skiing” look. If you have a very tan or somewhat dark complexion, First Love is unlikely to show up well and I’d encourage you to check out some of the deeper colors such as Sex on Fire, a lovely dusty rose, or Love is the Drug, a bright, cool pink that’s similar to the Las Salinas Beach Stick. I have to use a light hand when applying Love is the Drug but it’s beautiful. Sex on Fire is the least shimmery of the bunch. I love it, too.
I used to shy away from blush, often skipping it altogether until I fell in love with Tilbury’s blushes. I adore these shades and rarely reach for any other brand. They blend smoothly and have good staying power. Most of them contain subtle shimmer, though, so if you’re looking for mattes, this might not be the line for you. Sex on Fire has more of a satin finish, the closest Tilbury currently has to a matte. However, Cheek-to-Chic blushes aren’t glitter-bombs; they are not as shimmery as NARS Orgasm. I’m happy to have First Love in my spectrum of cheek colors, especially in the dead of winter when my complexion more closely resembles snow. In summer I tend to wear Ecstasy more (bronze with a peach center).
This nude blush is part of The Rock Chick Look. I already have the shimmery grey eye shadow quad to wear with it and I’m glad to finally complete the set. It’s a generously sized compact and this will probably last me a couple of years, but I can see myself repurchasing First Love when I run out. It’s that good.

I normally steer quite clear of blushes that are this peachy/beige because there have been times where I’ve looked kinda dead for want of a better word. I took a gamble with this because it was the lightest shade and I have faith in Charlotte Tilburys line of products, she just seems so easy going and enthusiastic about makeup. I was really keen on the pinker shades because I just love a pink flush but I refrained (because I have about half a metric ton of pink blush already also).
So when I first got this blush I wasn’t impressed… I tried it on and thought it looked dull. I went back to my pinks and thought it was a waste of money to have bought this blush. Fast forward to a week ago and I fancied trying it again, I decided to be SUPER light handed wtih it this time and I dusted it very lightly over my cheeks in the same way Charlotte Tilbury instructed in her tutorials. In hindsight the fault was my application because when you apply this lightly this looks absolutely gorgeous! I am really happy with it. It does a really good job of substituting for a bronzer and a blush and just gives a natural no makeup flush to the face. It isn’t shimmery but it isn’t a flat matte either… it lends a glow to the skin in a really subtle way. The key really is to be light handed with this and apply it how Charlotte advises (outer circle all over and inner circle as a pop on the cheeks after).
So yeah… 5 stars from me for this. It was everything I really wanted Benefit Dallas to be but wasn’t…. and I am actually much prefering this to pink blush and bronzer. I am a huge fan of natural makeup…and this is just totally natural and beautiful. It makes me look healthy and glowy… kinda in a Victorian novel way. lol.
I’ll be buying another blush from Tilbury for sure. Packaging is also beautiful and generously sized as a side note.

Hmmmm…okay purchased this shade knowing it was the lightest for my very fair skin. I initially went a little heavy handed with the initial application not realizing it is very pigmented! After resembling an Oompa Loompa, I washed it off and tried again with a lighter hand. It’s pretty. I like it. I will use it, but frankly it is no different in colour to any other peach toned blush. I think I was deceived in to thinking it was more beige due to the outside colour…it’s really peachy…also it is more matte than I realized which can look chalky if over applied. The compact is nice and I love the large mirror. I can’t decide if I will buy it again. I’m going to think on that one. I still love CT products though!

Again, I have been liking CT products of late. I find the complete obsession with them by vloggers and such to be kind of irritating, but I did want to try a few things and was pleasantly surprised (I think MikMik likes it, and we have very similar coloring maybe?)
Pros:
Finely milled, smooth application
Neutral-ish, but not muddy
Lasts all day
Doesn’t look garish or streaky

The color in the middle is kinda gimmicky
I think this is sort of “Warm Soul” by Mac with a little more pigmentation. It is my go-to blush right now, especially when I experimenting with a colorful eye, or just want a healthy flush. Very lovely.

beautiful subtle blusher, great for fair skin – gives a lovely healthy glow, especially with the middle pop colour on the apples of the cheeks.
it’s a very soft blendable texture. Not sure how to would be on darker skins as its very subtle, but just lovely on fair skin. Gorgeous packaging as well.

The prior reviewer has detailed the positive aspects of this blush and how to use it very well. I am in love with it so will add my opinion, too. This is a beautiful pale beige matte but not flat neutral shade with a slightly darker peach center color to add a “pop” on top of the cheekbone (or not – it’s separate enough and deeper in the pan so that you don’t end up getting any on your brush unless you want it there). It’s absolutely beautiful on my neutral fair skin with or without the pop. It looks satiny smooth on the skin, is easy to apply evenly (particularly with Charlotte’s sculpting brush) and comes in an asymmetrically shaped, shiny, very chic & thin portable container with a nice mirror. Another Charlotte T. winner.

This seems to be the first review for this blush called Cheek to Chic in the color First Love. I’ve been reading so many reviews (good PR or honest?) about the Charlotte Tilbury range and I’ve only been disappointed with one item (an eyeshadow stick). The blush comes in a beautiful compact with a mirror. It has two colors…the largest in a big circle surrounding the smaller. The larger color is more of a highlighter and the center color being the “pop” of blush. You are instructed to swirl into the outer color and apply to your cheek, then place a pop of the center color on the apple of your cheek and blend. First Love is the lightest and most delicate in the color range of these blushes and it is best described as peachy. The product applies beautifully and does not (to my eye) have visible sparkles but definitely gives a glow. The colors blend beautifully and give a lovely healthy blush that for my fair complexion is very pretty and suitable for wintry no tan skin.
