Just like the previous reviewer I have a light skin with a warm, yellowish undertone so I’m always on a lookout of warm pink, even coral blushes. My all time favourite is Benefit’s Cha Cha Tint liquid which is a pure coral but in case I’m in a hurry (Cha Cha Tint requires a very careful application) and when I need something fool-proof a powder blush comes very handy.
‘Bumpy Ride’ sadly is a LE product so if you want to get your hands on it, hurry up. I needed quite a search on line to nab it after Nadine Baggott mentioned it in her Youtube film as it was sold out everywhere. My local Space NK in Edinburgh did not even get the items from this collection in store. Luckily it was featured in one of the Nars’ Wanted Palettes that they had so after a quick swatch I was sure it would suit me.
I was hoping it will come in the new, square packaging like my ‘Seaside’ bronzer but no, it is still the old one with rounded edges and infamous black rubber cover. It also contains not a lot of product (4.8g) but the product itself is so packed with pigment it should last a very decent time. It is my first blush from this brand so I don’t know how long that would be, I hope that that should be my usual +2 years.
I turned 40 this year so any blushes with glitter or much sheen are a no no but I don’t really want anything too matte either, this one is leaving a lovely glow on the skin. Nars’ website describes it as ‘Shimmering Candy Pink’ but I do not see any shimmer, just a very delicate sheen. No kicking up any unnecessary powder either (hello By Terry!) and the glow is so pretty I don’t really need any highlighter added on top either which is a winner in my book (as you’re getting older you don’t need much visible makeup on). The glow seems to be cool toned but suits me well.
I apply it with my MAC 168 brush and it need a very delicate tap on the surface only. Spreads on the cheeks quickly and effortlessly.
A new staple in my beauty bag.

I already have similar shades but this one is perfection for my light, yellow-undertoned skin. It’s just peach enough to be flattering and natural with only a tiny bit of shimmer. This is definitely my HG spring blush. NARS quality – a densely milled, pigmented powder – comes through again. Expensive but I know it will last a long, long time.

I own somewhere around 20 pinky coral blushes and this one is quickly leaving them in the dust. (How appropriate, given the name). Bumpy Ride may not seem unique at first glance, but it’s the perfect combination of pink and coral with the tiniest bit of sheen – just enough to prevent it from looking flat, but nowhere near the level of, say, NARS O. It instantly brightens my NC15-20 skin without being harsh, and it’s pigmented enough to work on darker skin tones too. I like pairing it with Stila Kitten and one of the gazillion pink/coral lip colors I own for a simple monochromatic look, but I also tried it with mint green eye shadow and it was fabulous. I don’t think NARS has any similar blushes in its current lineup, and the closest blush that I own is MAC’s Spring Flock (LE from the spring 2016 Flamingo Park collection), but that’s a matte finish. If you’re looking to freshen up your cheeks for spring definitely snag this.

This is a gorgeous peachy spring shade with enough pink that it doesn’t look orangey. It has a trace of shimmer, and both builds and blends easily. I tired this on at Barneys and event though I am a cool/neutral, this blush is lovely. It reminds me a tiny it of Benefit Dandelion, but with a touch more pigment and a some shimmer.

Just purchased the new blush in the Nars Spring 2017 collection. I believe it is limited Edition.
It shows up nice and bright on my Medium Neutral skin tone.
It’s like a “baby” coral leaning more on the baby pink side. It’s not a very saturated pink, seems like there is white pigments in it to tone it down to a softer pink/coral. It’s definitely a Spring color and it translates well on the cheeks. It does have a sheen to it, but not as bad as Orgasm. I’m not a fan of Orgasm. The sheen in this blush does nothing for my pores. They dont look much worse but theyre a bit more obvious.
A dupe for Nars Bumby Ride blush would be Clinique Melon Pop. Theyre very close in color except the finish is off. Melon pop is without sheen, and it leans just a hair more peach. It’s a lovely blush, it’s not super unique, but it’s not a specific coral you see all the time.
