This Blush Bomb comes in a squeeze tube and has a thicker, almost gel like, consistency. The shade I’ve tried is Melon and it is a medium coral that sets matte.
While I’m in love with this product, there are some issues with it. I’ll start my review off with the negatives. While the pigmentation is excellent on here a little goes a long way and it is difficult not to squeeze out too much product. Literally one drop of this blush is more than enough to cover both my cheeks.
This also works better if you build it up instead of going in with a lot of product immediately. If you apply too much it’s incredibly difficult to blend out. I found that even though it has a liquid consistency it did not spread very well. To combat this I dot it all over my cheek area and then buff it in. I’m deliberate with my placement because I know it won’t blend far.
Now for the positives! The shade Melon is so pretty and gives a lovely pinky peach flush. This product is heavily pigmented and is going to last you a long time.
It doesn’t set fast so I usually squirt a drop on the back of my hand and use my fingers, sponge or stippling brush to apply it. I build it slowly and it stays liquid on my hand, so I have plenty of time to work with it.
Once it sets it stays put all day, even on my oily skin. It also doesn’t stain. I use a makeup wipe or miceller water to clean up and it comes off easily.
This blush can give a soft, natural flush to the skin, or it can be built up for a more intense look. I’m very happy with my purchase and will definitely be trying out the other Blush Bombs. Ulta used to carry these online, but for some reason they’re not available on the website anymore. I bought mine from FLOWER Beauty’s website, and I had to wait because it was often sold out. I also used a 30% off discount code! So check for any discount codes floating around before you order.
