Years ago, when Nars first came out with Orgasm, I ran to Saks to try it. After all, it was supposed to be the color for everyone, not too cool or warm or peach or pink. Good for day or night. The truth was that on my very fair skin it was shimmer first, color second. Not for work, definitely not for all time. I passed.
Then for years I suffered through wiping off blush as soon as I applied it — apply blush with big fluffy brush, then wipe off most of it to avoid clown cheeks. It got to the point where I stopped wearing blush altogether, it was just too much hassle. Cream or powder, didn’t matter; they didn’t suit me.
Now I know EA Sunblush has been around for a while, but I have not been able to get my hands on it. Macy’s is always out of stock. That should have been a clue. The other week, it was back in stock (and 15% off, about $22) and now it’s mine. I tried it, applying with my fluffy blush brush. It’s what Orgasm should have been, with the shimmer (there’s a tiny bit of shimmer but you don’t see it on the skin. I looked. Not there, even under my bright makeup lights.) I may buy another just to keep on hand.

Superior quality makeup. Pricey, though if you can get it in a set with other products, then your $ was well spent. Elizabeth Arden cosmetics are all very luxurious, and the Beautiful Color line is amazing. This is a very nice neutral shade which would flatter most. It brightens my face nicely without leaving me looking “overdone”. The formula is gentle to even my sensitive skin yet highly pigmented – lasts all day (or night) no touch ups needed! Love it.

My HG peachy beige rose blush – has a touch of apricot to it which really livens up my pale complexion if you are pale and warm toned this is the perfect blush which doesn’t pull too pink/rosy. Has gold micro glitters but they don’t show up on application which I am very glad about. Really gives life to the face, pigmented but not too much pigment that it makes me look over the top – can apply multiple layers and it still looks natural so very buildable. Love the packaging, love that these are paraben free too (I always check ingredients lists) velvety smooth and long wearing I am on my second one!

Nice soft neutral blush. Hard to describe really. Gives a really nice “lit from within” glow without a shimmer or sparkle in sight. Terrific for the natural look, but buildable for evenings.
Enough warmth to not be a cool pink, but enough pink to not be a peach. Enough brown to be neutral but not enough to show up on the face as a brownish blush. A soft rose with some warmth and neutrality.
Some shimmer shows up in the pan, but it’s not visible at all on the face. It blends in and looks natural.
Colour payoff is good, but not so much that you run into clown face territory like some NARS and MAC products. It is sheer and blendable but it shows up nicely. Doesn’t “grab” and stick.
I feel like I’m describing more what it isn’t, than what it is. It’s a soft finely milled product that goes on smoothly and blends easily. Feels like silk, utterly weightless on.
It’s a true neutral blush that I think would look nice on anyone from warm to cooler tones. I suspect it’s a bit too sheer and pale for anyone deeper than an olive skin tone as I doubt it would show up on darker skin but for pale (NC OR NW 15 -25) it would be ideal for a neutral blush you could rely on no matter what colour you are wearing or your warm or cool skin tones.
As for me I’m a warm but pale skinned redhead with freckles, a bit of rosacea and this makes me look healthy not sallow. With or without foundation, BB cream, Tinted Moisturizer etc.
My favourite blush, Rimmel’s Santa Rose was discontinued, and I think I’ve FINALLY found it’s replacement for my true neutral rose blush. Funny because Santa Rose was my replacement for my original blush love which was an Arden shade called Sunstone.
