This is going to be a strange review for a strange product. I bought it several months ago for my brows, which are spare to say the least and have absolutely no “tails”. This made what hairs i do have on my brows feel a little crispy, but by golly my eyebrow powder stayed put. I’ve also found that it works really great as an eyeshadow primer/glitter glue. The applicator is awkward when applying to the brows, but is great great for the eyelid. All in all, it’s a great multi-purpose product. Even if it isn’t necessarily intended to be multi-purpose.

Certainly saves me a lot of hassle in the morning and eyebrow smearing throughout the day. The applicator is certainly awkward, especially for the thin end of your brow. This forces your brow to come to a round edge at the side of your face instead of a point…no. It definitely does its job but when it comes to removal, it’s stubborn. Throughout the day I always feel like there is a crust on my forehead and have to scrub to get it all off. If I don’t I feel as though there is still a film over my brows.

The product itself is very good. I leaves just the slightest tackiness to grip eyebrow powder and keep your brows looking good for several hours. My problem with the product is the delivery system and the price. The mascara tube with a doe foot applicator is useless. Using it to apply the primer would be like using a trowel! You’d wind up putting enough product on your brow to set a brick! Since everyone winds up using their finger to apply the primer why not put it in a small see-thru SQUEEZE TUBE, so that you can control the quantity? At $6.99 for .23 oz, NYX is charging $30.00 per oz! At that price the consumer deserves to get ALL the product they pay for.

Honestly, I didn’t use this as an eyeshadow primer. I used it to waterproof my eyebrows. After losing a lot of brows to illness I used this when I went to the beach and it was GOOD. I use powder to color in my brows and this stuff did not let it budge until I used a makeup remover. By applying primer first and then the brow powder: worked very well. Applying a little primer, then powder, then a little more primer to set: worked amazing.

This product is GREAT. I use it with clients before applying powder color for the brows. For some reason I found it does not work well with cream products (Example: Anastasia Dipbrow). Maybe is just me? So I use it only when applying powder. Maybe I did not read the instructions on what is mainly for but with powders it works very well. I always repurchase. I go through it a lot because I have to use a brush to apply the product to avoid cross contamination. I can not use the applicator that comes with it, so I can not say anything about the wand.

It’s a sponge tip applicator, which I don’t like, but swipe some on your brow brush or spooly and you’re good to go. Works with pencil, powder or gel and a tiny bit is all it takes for natural looking all day shape and hold. Truly locks color in place.

Love it! One tube last awhile and I use it everyday. It is so easy to apply through the eyebrow and a little goes a long way! I use just enough on the applicator so its cool to the touch on my brow and let it dry while I do my eyeliner then line and fill in my brow. The powder stays all day, but it comes off easy when I wash my face at night.

I wanted this to work for me after I read the reviews but it just didn’t. The lipgloss wand is a bit weird to use on the eyebrows. If you have sparse brows, I don’t see how you could use it. This goes on a gray color but dries to clear. It always felt sticky and then hard to me, no matter how little or much I put on. I think the product would have been better with a small wand like the Benefit brow. I can’t attest to its waterproof properties because I didn’t really wear this in rain but it did come off fine with my normal nightly wash. Just a weird product that I thin could be better.

I guess I’ll be the first to not give this product 5 stars. I really like most things about this brow primer, it definitely makes brow product and brow hairs stay in place for hours and hours. I haven’t really tested to see if it’s actually waterproof though. The way I use it is distributing the product through my brows, then before it dries I shape my brow hairs into place. Once it’s dry I use my handy dandy Anastasia brow pencil to fill. It takes quite a bit of effort for me to fill my brows in with a pencil when this primer is in place. It can give a bit of an un-even application and it’s hard to redo any mistakes (I guess that’s the point though, if I could just wipe it away easily it wouldn’t be a very good primer). I’ve used almost a whole bottle, and I’m getting to that point where you know there’s extra product in the bottle but the applicator can’t reach it, which I find super frustrating. I would definitely buy this again as it’s pretty inexpensive and definitely does the job, but I have a feeling there’s probably a brow primer out there that I would like better than this so I’m open to trying others.

Omggah! this is a godsend! I was previously using Anastasia Brow Pomade layered with powder over, and it would stay 3-4 hours tops! I do have somewhat oily skin, so that could be a factor. Anyways, I did a little researching on the internet and came across NYX Brow Gel. Not wanting to take any chances, I spotted this sucker on the swoop. I layered this under the gel with a layer of powder on top. So far so good! Eyebrows look as good as when I put ’em on this morning! It comes in a little tube with a felt tip applicator. One note though: my eyebrows feel a little stiff…like there’s Suavecito in them lol, but hey! for brows that stay put it’s a small price to pay.
