This is the only brown gel type product I’ve ever tried. Part of that is because at the time I got it Anastasia didn’t have a shade that worked for me and they were the only two products like this. The makeup forever brow gel in the squeeze tube didn’t appeal to me.
So when MAC released this product I jumped on it. I’ve had it two years and I’m maybe halfway done with it and it is still creamy and beautiful. The texture is easy to work with, not too liquidy, just dry enough work well. This shade is perfect for me. I’m a redhead, but it’s the perfect balance of ashy/warmth. I didn’t try the redhead one but it swatched waaaay yellow/orange so I don’t know who it works for, maybe super bright orange redheads. I use an angled brow brush and every time I get a nice sharp brow that lasts all day and doesn’t smudge at all once set.
You need a light hand to feather it in so I usually don’t use it when I go to work because I’m in a hurry and sleepy and don’t have time to fix it if I get it too dark and thick (which is easy to do). But otherwise, I use it every day and I love it more and more. And it lasts forever! I think it will take 4 years to use this thing up and so far it’s just as creamy as when I first got it.

I have used a lot of brow products (a few eg of each) from pomades (ABH Dipbrow, NYX, & Walmart’s Salon Perfect) to brow gels (MUFE AquaBrow, NYX) to powders (ABH) to various e/s to gel/creme eyeliners, liquid eyeliners & brow pencils/eyeliners in all diff shades & even kits, a few examples of the many options I’ve tried & my faves are MAC Fluidline Dirty Blonde, MAC Lingering pencil (super awesome but sooo $$$; Fluidline is a better deal), ABH DipBrow & ABH BrowWiz. Pencils like Lingering & Brow Wiz use up so quickly so even thou I have to supply my own brush for this it is cheaper to get a brow pomade since I do my brows every single day. Lingering pencil is a tinge darker & cooler. I would say that NYX Blonde brow pomade is the closest dupe I’ve come across but imo this lasts longer, more pigmented, richer color & more waterproof/sweatproof than the NYX. The NYX is def decent thou esp for DS thou if you’re looking to save some cash. I clean up my brows w the MAC Chromagraph pencil after I let this set. My go-to daily brow look!! This is a whipped mousse like texture kinda tots diff than ABH DipBrow imo.

Packaged like the MAC Fluidline eyeliners, this waterproof eyebrow color was one of those products that MAC introduced, then called limited edition, then sold out, and then actually resurrected. I found it for sale at a MAC store in the Spring and it’s still on the website today, as of this 8/5/15 posting. I bought Dirty Blonde. There are two shades for blondes and this is the warmer of the two. The other is Ash Blonde.
Brow gel cremes are applied with a brow brush. You have to own one or buy one, because a brush is not included. These gels glide on easily and do require a touch of skill. Once set, though, this is a waterproof formula. It will hold up beautifully in humidity or in the face of sweat as long as you aren’t constantly scratching at your brows. It will last even longer if you set it with a brow-colored powder or translucent setting powder. MAC Cork eyeshadow complements this well, but even a dusting of Blot Powder will help lock it in.
A “Fluidline Brow Gelcreme” eyebrow doesn’t look as feathery natural as one made with a thin brow pencil in short strokes, but it creates a very nice line that doesn’t fade or travel, and it’s great for filling in sparse sections. If you have the right color for your hair and complexion, this doesn’t look harsh. And it’s easier to control this, with your angled brow brush, than most brow-colored mascaras, which can be messy.
The color Dirty Blonde is a good warm blonde with a hint of strawberry but not as red as their Redhead shade. Dirty Blonde is similar to the color of Tarte Taupe brow pencil. It’s not nearly as neutral/ash as MAC Fling brow pencil. If you’re a cooler blonde, you’ll likely want Ash Blonde, which is more like Fling. In the pot, Dirty Blonde looks similar enough to the Redhead shade that I almost picked up the wrong tester. Some strawberry blondes could wear Dirty Blonde, if Redhead were sold out. Again, you can shift the color slightly one way or another (warmer, cooler, softer, bolder) with different shades of powder shadow if you so desire.
It takes me longer to make this eyebrow than it does to sketch one quickly with a pencil, but it lasts better. Great for summer heat.
$16.50 for a little glass jar of this.

So much better than Anastasia pomades! Anastasia version of the brow gel is thicker and drier compared to MAC’s. I ended up returning Anastasia’s. I normally have dark down hair but went blonde recently. I needed something that wasn’t too light nor too dark. This is a perfect soft brown shade. It glides in effortlessly with my japonesque angled brow brush. I then use a spooky to smooth everything out so it looks nice and soft and you don’t see any sharp lines. LOVE this stuff!

Update to platinum blonde hair stage: of course I’ve since compared to Anastasia dipbrow. Ugh no comparison for me. Anastasia: dry as a bone. Sure there’s a handy dandy trick to put a drop or 2 of coconut oil up in there and nuke for a couple seconds and voila — refreshed — but still — too hard. If you’ve used the blacktrack gel eyeliner you can envision the texture. Now the color for a platinum blonde: sure why not get the lightest? Because in flash photography, it looks like you painted yer brow with white out. EW! In natural light it looks great but a big need for this for me was a wedding. Dirty blonde is perfect for platinum to even a pale brown (level 6-7 hair color). Depends on how heavy a hand. Use the matching brush from MAC it’s better. It’s been out of stock online but I can always find at store/counter. Smooth like butter and builds a great brow.
This product magically creates real looking eyebrows where there were very few. I am brunette w light skin and my eyebrows naturally are light ash blonde and sparse, plus I over plucked them in my teen years so I’m dealing with the hair not growing back. Luckily what little I have is of a nice shape. I use my Anastasia eyebrow brush w this (the one for the powder) and just build a brow! It’s incredible! The color is perfect… Anything darker looks weird on me. I can certainly forget about that powder now as this stuff like CREATES a brow (I swear it looks like dense little brow hairs) and lasts forever on. Magical stuff I say!

I recommend this colour for ladies with fair to medium skin tone.

I`m pale and blonde and my eyebrows are not unruly or to thin – I just wanted to achieve a more polished 1940s` look. For this effect this product is simply perfect. I apply it with an angled brush and afterwards work over with an eyebrow brush. No harsh lines, not detectable and nevertheless so much more groomed and neat! The color is a kind of golden taupe – also nice as a sublime soft eyeliner.

MAC released three Fluidline Brow Gelcremes at the end of January 2013.
I have dark brown hair, but my brows are very thin and sparse, and without a brow product they barely show up on my fair skin. Dark brow products look heavy and overbearing on me. So I have been using MAC matte eyeshadow (pressed powder) in “Omega”, which MAC says is “soft muted beige-taupe”. It has been great, but i was eager to try the new Brow Fluidlines.
They come in a little clear glass pot with a MAC black lid. The three choices are (were – it’s LE) Redhead, Dirty Blonde, and Deep Dark Brunette.
— Redhead is described as “Muted Golden Brown”, but it’s much too warm for me.
— Deep Dark Brunette is described as “Rich Brunette”, but it’s much too dark for me.
— Dirty Blonde is described as “Soft Taupe Brown”, and it’s just right. It is warmer and a little darker than “Omega”, but blends into my brows nicely. It is a very versatile color, suitable for brunettes whose skin is not very dark, and for blondes who have dark brows.
I use a fine liner brush with stiff fibers so i keep the color inside my sparse brows. People with larger brows may prefer a different method. The gel sets after a short time so that it doesn’t smear or rub off easily. I tried some regular Fluidlines in my brows and they were not as stable. One of these little pots should last a heckuva long time, so even though it isn’t cheap, it’s a good buy.
Dirty Blonde is now sold out on MAC’s website, but may be available in MAC shops or counters. Some people are expecting MAC to make these permanent, but not before late fall 2013, if they do at all.

Why is this LE?! I am in love this stuff, it knocks every other brow product on the market out cold. Easily.
It is simple to use, looks 100% natural and the colour matches my brows perfectly. I have never been happier with a brow product.
I am in the colour dirty blonde and was eying it off on the website and one night saw it had just been restocked, I got 3! The next morning I looked again and it had sold out. 🙁
You get so much product and the price is very reasonable at $15 US. Fingers crossed they add these to their permanent line… it could be one of their biggest sellers!
