Glossier’s Boy Brow is my favorite brow product and I’m always looking for a cheaper alternative. This isn’t bad, but it isn’t comparable to Boy Brow in my opinion. It’s a similar idea but the product has a different look and texture and it doesn’t have the same level of hold as Boy Brow. I would also say that this is slightly more pigmented. Initially this works great; it gives my brows color and volume and I’m able to brush them in a shaped, fluffy look. However, the hold doesn’t last and my brows “fall” throughout the day. I also feel like the pigment travels a bit and it makes my brows look filled in, which isn’t the look I’m going for. I also wanted to mention that the stopper is a bit large so you will get excess product on the brush. As for the price, I paid around $9 for this at Ulta. It’s pricey but cheaper than Glossier, so I was hoping this would work out for me. Overall I won’t repurchase because the hold isn’t great and I don’t think the end result is very natural looking. I would recommend Boy Brow or even the ColourPop Brow Boss gel over this.

Since Covergirl has gone cruelty-free I am rediscovering the brand I remember from my youth. So far I’ve been loving the Exhibitionist mascara (waterproof) and am pleasantly surprised that it holds a curl in my lashes! This is no easy feat. As for this brow gel, which I purchased in the shade “Medium Brown”, I have to say I am also pretty impressed with it, both in terms of formula and in holding power. This kept my brow hairs in place all day. I have dark brown hair and would have naturally leaned toward purchasing a dark brown shade but it wasn’t available at the time. As it turns out, the medium brown, while lighter than my brow color did not look odd rather it blended to give my brows more dimension and therefore softened them some. I do feel there is too much product on the brush (which is nice a tiny by the way) when you pull the wand from the tube so I remove a bit before running the bristles through my brows. Overall, a pretty good product. Not the best I’ve ever used, but certainly one of the better ones.
