People who live near Daiso are very lucky. The one in pink packaging is my holy grail. The tip is flat, small, and a little stiff, so it’s easy to draw soft strokes. I find the ones that are waxy hard to apply since I have a lot of hair already. If the pencil dries, I take a lighter and just run it over the tip for like half second. The other end has a spoolie. It’s very cheap, so I am not really surprised when one of the caps fell apart. The pencil itself is great, but yes, the packaging is a little cheap. I bought 4 when I was traveling to Seattle and always ask my friends when they are in the area where there are Daiso to buy me some since I don’t have Daiso where I live. I will never switch to other eyebrow pencils. I converted my cousin to this pencil as well. She was raving about a Daiso pencil, but it turned out that she was talking about a different skinnier one that is also sold at Daiso. I told her she should try this one and to her delight it works well on her too.
Oh, I got this in dark brown, but it looks grey-ish to me and match my black hair. Use a light hand and soft strokes and you got yourself beautifully drawn brows!

I am so surprised by the other reviews because this stuff is honestly amazing. I specifically searched for this page because I wanted to let everyone know how great it was.
For reference, I got the pencil in dark brown (hot pink pencil with gold accents, the ‘elliptical core’ in cursive is the identifier for these pencils amongst Daiso’s extensive variety) when my Anastasia Brow Wiz (also in dark brown) was on its last legs. I swatched them next to each other and am convinced that they are exact dupes, however the Daiso pencil is much thicker in width. This was very much to my delight, as I am not exactly what you would call blessed in the eyebrow department. The Brow Wiz was great but took a frustratingly long time to fill in my brows to their desired definition; the Daiso pencil takes half the time, if not less and lasts all day. I also love the ‘elliptical’ shape of the product – it allows for easy control of shape and tone.
If you’ve happened to come across this and have access to a Daiso, PLEASE go and grab one! It’s life-changing (from a beauty perspective) and almost laughably cheap. (On that note, whoever put the price as $$$$ needs to get that fixed. It’s $2.80 AUD and even cheaper in other countries.) Have repurchased over and over again and will continue to do so in the future.

I’m really not sure what Daiso did to this product, but it’s a hollow shell of its past self. I was so excited at the prospect of an improved dupe for Anastasia’s Brow Wiz that I picked up at least 3 backups of these, but when I opened a new one it was chalky and unpigmented. After rubbing it furiously on the back of my hand in an attempt to ‘revive’ it, I was left with a light brown ‘wash’ of colour that may have been more from skin irritation than the product itself.
I reasoned that it might have some sort of waxy ‘seal’ over it that encased the true product, so I broke a small chunk off the top and tested the remnants on the back of my hand. A bit of scratchy brown, then nothing.
I really don’t know what happened between when I first purchased this product and when I decided to purchase a second, but they’re definitely not the same. I was so disappointed but have moved on to bigger and better things – the Chi-Chi Brow Pomade calls my name.

Got this in dark brown as I have ashy black eyebrows but is a little too dark. It applies rather easily but the colour does fade after a couple of hours, the good side of that is that if you ‘misdraw’ you can just remove it easily by rubbing it a little with your finger. Overall for $2 I think it’s pretty good but I will be trying out better brands.

Mixed review for this one, even though it was only $1.50. Love the packaging, which is a turquoise blue case, with screw-up pencil on one end and spoolie on the other. Both ends are capped. There were three shades of brown, and I bought the lightest. It matches my brows perfectly, better than anything I’ve used. Pencil is smooth and applies easily. Now the not-so-good…I don’t know what this product’s deal is, but it seems to ball up while in the case. Never while on my face, but only when capped and put away. After use, I check to make sure the pencil is clean and there are no stray goobers anywhere, retract the pencil entirely, and cap it. When I open it up again, there are little makeup balls everywhere and a streaky mess inside. I don’t get it. It’s like there are pencil gremlins that live inside. The product is getting used up far too quickly due to this weirdness. I wish this would have worked, but will keep it for the spoolie once the pencil is used up. Still worth $1.50 if you look at it that way, but I won’t repurchase.
