this review is for the new type of Dior brow gel that has squeezable tube.
very good. highly pigmented , it gives depth/ dimension. the product is double the amount as many other brands. the squeezable tube is different. the brush is small and easy to use. it doesnt take long or too may strokes to use. i wish i had found it years ago.

My brows near the insides of my eyes are always stubborn and don’t stay in place. I wanted this to make them go in the right direction and it did not work for that but it makes the rest of the brows smooth. Kind of sticky too.

I’m going through my second bottle of this, I have really thin eyebrows, and when i get them shaped, I like to use this to darken them, and I think it does a pretty good job.
Now there is a sparkle to the color I bought (Shiny brown, 781), and as a dancer I don’t mind it (on or off stage). If you can live with the slight glitter on your eyebrow hairs this product is pretty good.

This is an ok brow gel for mildly furry brows. It is too expensive for the tiny packaging and is just sub par. It doesn’t flake or dry out my brows. When it runs out I will try another brand…meh.

Very good shaper! Holds the shape better than shiseido product, and has a comb instead of “mascara”-like brush, which I like more. Also makes it easier for me to shape eyebrow into a thin line, combing hairs from above too. Will continue to buy.

This was the first brow gel I had ever used and it did an OK job. It held my brows in place without any major problems but I am liking Anastasia’s brow gel much better. Dior doesnt give you much gel in the tube compared to Anastasia. Anastasia also holds brows in place better. The applicator with the Dior gel if different from the Anastasia gel and I prefer the Anastasia applicator. The Dior gel comes with an applicator that is like a tiny hair brush with bristles on only one side whereas the Anastasia applicator is identical to a mascara wand. Since the Dior applicator has bristles on only one side I have to reapply more gel in between brows. The Anastasia applicator has bristles on both sides so I can do both brows without having to reapply gel. There is nothing terrible about Dior brow gel but there is nothing exceptional about it either. If you got some for a free gift you could use it and it would work fine but dont buy this if you have options. There are better gels out there.

I’ve used different brow gels (Victoria Secret, etc.) and I find that this is the first brow gel that does not tear out my eyebrows by drying them, and they stay in place! I can’t remember if I bought this product or got a sample… either way… its good stuff. I add a lash pigment to it (Neutrogena’s for example) to get a darker color which matches my hair color without making myself look fake.
The best part about the brow gel is that the wand applicator has two types of bristles (one side short and one side long). This enables you to really fix those strays, no matter what length they might be. It also enables one to shape their brows easier. I’ve yet to try or get the Diorshow Brow, but I do like this clear variety compare to many of the clear brow gels I’ve experienced.
The worse part is that its not cheap, for something that doesn’t have color to it. But, its kinda worth it.

I have this in the shade Piraeus (i can be spelling it completely wrong but its the medium cool tone brown) There are 4 shades: a clear one, a ash blond and a darker brown almost black shade and this one which is perfect for brunettes. I have dark brown hair and is fair skintone. I picked the medium shade because i dont like dark brows on my face. I like my brows lighter than my hair not exactly match then itll look too dark for my skin. I like the formula, i just wish the brush was smaller like the boy brow by glossier because the brush can get color outside my brows if im not careful. The glossier one is great too and i actually like the brush on that one a lot more. but this is very natural and adds a tint slightly but i wouldn’t repurchase, its pricey for what it is.
Edit colourpop clear brow boss gel works kist as great but without color for 6 dollars

I am ash blond and use Athens. At first I hated it as the brush dispenses too much product and is a pain in the rear. You need to wipe off excess on the rim of the tube. Now I am about 1/2 way through it is great. It is what I use when I need to so a rushed face. My brows are light and patchy this make them look passable:)

Forget this clear brow gel. Doesn’t hold unruly brow. Hair gel/ spray stick hard finish.
Will stay with Bobbi brown clear brow gel, or my new find MAC pro brow gel ( not clear, the clear one is not in PRO line and works as shitty as this NARS).

I usually buy things I’ve researched or heard of/recommendations but as it was a simple eye brow gel I thought what could go wrong. I asked the SA for a brow gel at Mecca and she told me kit cosmetics or nars. I’ve been eyeing nars for sometime. All I know was nars didn’t have much talk on their brow items. It cost me 29$AU but I don’t mind high end if it works. It does not work. I bought a clear one. First impression was it was very wet. It was like a thin gel formula that just coats the brow and leaves it wet. So I went in with a brush to comb it out. It moves my eyebrows around as it was so wet and made my eye brow hair stick to my skin and cause gaps which I had to go in a fill my brows again. That’s not all, the brush is insane. It’s the side of half a mascara wand so I always end up brushing product not just on the hair. And lately it made no difference. Once it dried it felt like there was texture in my eyebrows but they didn’t stay in place at all. It was exactly the same as not using any and my partner said so without me pointing it out. He said why did I spend so much money on this and it does nothing. At first I didn’t want to believe because I trusted nars but it’s true, does not make any difference. The hair just moves around easily and doesn’t stay in place. Came back home and saw my eyebrows with hair sticking out of place like normal. It looks very wet, thin and watery. Brush is huge and doesn’t make any difference at all. It felt like nars just didn’t put effort in it. I am saying this honestly from his and my experience and have nothing again nars. I later bought their foundation and orgasm blush! But seriously keep your money and skip this. I remember that the cheap essence brow gel had more results than this. Save your money. Don’t buy the clear gel. I’m going to try to get a refund because it does nothing at all.

Best gel… best hold without being crunchy. The clear is flawlessly. The tinted ones are too matte for me so I would go for Anastasia since they have some sheen.

This is my first brow gel, but its good considering I haven’t tried others. It looks natural and holds well. I use the clear gel so I can’t say anything about colour. My only problem with it is that sometimes when I apply it I noticed little bits of dust or some kind of flakes on my brows and I have to wipe it a certain way to get it off. I don’t know if that is because my brush is dirty (I just cleaned it now so we’ll see I guess). I also notice sometimes during the day my brows have still been moved even though I’m wearing enough gel. Reminder: Make sure you put your clothes on before you apply the gel (I know it seems obvious but I don’t always do that). I might buy it again, but I might try a different product.

I have absolutely no experience with brow products, but I have been getting my brows either waxed or plucked professionally for many years now. I’ve always been annoyed with the longer hairs close to my nose, and think that they look ridiculous as they are often standing straight up or sticking out in some weird direction. I tried a clear brow gel from a drugstore brand (Alverde) but it didn’t hold the brows in place. Finally I decided to try the Nars product and wow! I wish I had tried it sooner! My brows now stay in place all day and look amazing. My eyebrows are very light blondish/brown, and the shade Athens is really perfect for them. It is just slightly darker than my natural brow color. It is true that way too much product comes out on the wand, but I just wipe it off on the rim of the tube, then I brush a small amount of the product onto the unruly hairs. After that, I go through my whole brow again with a clean spoolie brush, which distributes the color evenly and allows me make a natural and nice shape. The brows really look great all day and I think this product helps me to look polished. I think the brow gel will last for a long time as I only use a small amount every day and I would definitely repurchase!

Ulta house brand MU is pretty d@mn good! I got this free because it was B2G2 (buy 2 get 2) it’s normally $10USD!!!!!!! It werx pretty good but brow gel is brow gel I can get elf for $2 does the same darned thing. Not to say this isn’t really great bcoz it is ijs it is the same. Clear mascara of any variety will work. I’d buy this again if i could buy B2G2 again otherwise I will use the heck out of this til it dries up then go back to elf. This does an awesome job thou. Idk if id pay $10USD for it.

I threw this in the trash. It dried my daughters brows out and they fell out in clumps. Not a good look on her. Sticking to It cosmetic brow power.

I bought this to try a clear brow gel versus my usual tinted brow gel. I have seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp and in my eyebrows, so I have to be careful with what I use on my eyebrows. I can normally get away with applying topical medication to my brows every other night or so, but when I was using this, I had to apply the medication twice a day, including right before makeup application. I know this was the culprit because it improved as soon as I stopped using this.

Decent clear brow gel. I don’t find it holds as well as Mac, but it actually held my brows better than the expensive Anastasia one.

UPDATE: After having used this product for almost a month (every day) I have changed my opinion about it. It does go on easily, does have a cute container, is a decent price, and does dry quickly. BUT,I have noticed that every time I use it after applying my eyebrow pencil it seems to leave my eyebrows with a misty glaze, instead of it being clear. I’m not sure if it is because of the eyebrow pencil, but I am disappointed. I am now using a small brush, and spraying it with hairspray, then applying to my eyebrows. I think that if I applied the gel to my eyebrows first, let it dry, and then used my eyebrow pencil I would still have the same problem. I’m not sure how to fix this problem. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know.
I just recently purchased this product from my local Ulta. I am pleased with the results. Cute little packaging. Goes on easily. Dries quickly. Eyebrows stay in place. Clear color is good. All in all-a good product.

I think I expected too much from this gel after reading the reviews here. I typically use drugstore brow gels that don’t really do much. I will have to admit this gel works better than most of those. As for “stay in place all day” like some others have said, well, my brows did not stay *exactly as neat as they were when the gel was first applied* (which is what I was expecting. On the other hand, they didn’t end up sticking out all over the place like Andy Rooney’s, either. I guess for $6, that is as much as can be expected.
I also tried an experiment using some Dep hair gel and a baby toothbrush to see if that gave equivalent results. It actually did not work as well as the Ulta gel, so I think I will repurchase. However, for my money Anastasia brow gel is the only one that truly keeps them combed in place all day…but $21 is too much for brow gel unless I win the lottery. Until then…back to Ulta it will be.
EDIT: after using this for a few months I went back and bumped it to a 4. It actually holds better than I thought and there’s still a ton of product left, so I will be buying this enthusiastically when I run out!

In all honesty, the proximity of an Ulta store to my house is what motivated me to buy the brow gel. That, and the fact that my brows can get pretty unruly and require some taming. I was pleasantly surprised with this gel and saw that it worked wonders: my brows stayed in place all day. The brush was superb, really “getting in there” and arranging my brows nicely. The only downside is that it does flake, leaving rubbery white residue, but that is something that can be dealt with by controlling the amount of gel that is used. Will continue repurchasing.
thriftyStork8
I have very thick brows. The hairs are thick (think thick Asian hair), not my brows themselves, and this product did nothing to help the hairs stay in place. The hold is too weak for me. I’ve yet to find a decent brow gel.
awedFalcon5
My first brow gel, and I have no complaints, but I just don’t get anything out of it. I don’t have unruly brows, so I don’t use this to keep them tamed, but I do sometimes like to set my brow pencil or powder with this. Still, no repurchase – a clear mascara from the drugstore could do the trick.
puzzledMuesli9
This is a fine brow gel, but I don’t particularly care for the brush and the container’s too small for the cost. It holds brows without being stiff, but I greatly prefer Becca’s version.
lazyMoth4
If you’re a bushy browed kind of gal or guy…. or suffer from unruly brows (raise your hands!), this is THE gel that will keep them in place. THE ONLY ONE.
I hate when people use CAPs, but in this case, I feel its warranted as I don’t know how else to express that no single product before – no wax, no gel, no clear mascara, no pencil or powder, no hair gel, no hairspray on spoolie trick – has ever kept my unruly brows in place all day. Nada. Niente. Until this one. Its the longevity that does it for me – the others would work for a couple of hours, but if I wore my glasses etc they would invariably get pushed back “down”.
I use the lightest shade and am over the moon to have found a product that allows me to look like a normal human being all day long.
Thank you Francois!

Bought NARS Brow Gel in Piraeus and I probably cannot adequately express in the written form how much I love this product however I am going to give it a shot. I am still teaching myself and learning how to get the optimum application each time I use the gel but, thus far, it is exceeding my expectations.
The positives: The packaging . . . Wow. An all black tube with a matte, rubberized exterior, it just feels great in the hand and I love it. Feels supremely luxe and grown-up. The wand is a standard-style mascara wand. If I end up with brows that I feel I’ve over darkened by using too much of the product, I use a clean mascara wand (those black freebie ones that you can pick-up at Sephora) to brush through the hairs and thus brush out some of the color.
The brow gel dries down beautifully, leaving the hairs darkened with color and held in position, but not too stiff that you can’t tweak them a little if you’d like to smooth them into your desired arched shape. For me, I brush the gel on the hairs straight up and fill in the ends by dabbing the brush a little more there and then, once dried down, I smooth the brows out.
The negatives: Honestly, none about the product at all. I think the amount of brow gel in the tube will last a long time even with regular, almost daily, application and feel the cost overall is acceptable ($22.00). I would love NARS to publish a short video on their website or YouTube channel showing how their make-up artists approach their technique on applying the brow gel. I think it could be helpful and perhaps inspire other to give this product a try.
UPDATE: Purchased my second tube in Piraeus over the holidays and am still loving this product, January 2015.
