I am so pleasantly surprised! For the price I wasn’t expecting much and I was actually worried about it being too glittery. But it is really good, easily wearable! It offers some coverage – light to medium I would say, but it definitely does make the difference, the skin tone is evened out, small imperfections covered (i do have reasonably good skin, no acne or acne scarring), it gives nice glow but it is not too much.
I am very happy, because it doesn’t get in the pores or fine lines, doesn’t accentuate occasional dry patches. It does require setting oily areas with powder (my nose) but that’s about it, I doesn’t slide off my cheeks or forehead (where I don’t set it).
My skin tolerates it well- no break outs (I like holika holika BB creams). Happy with it.

I originally wanted to try the Essential from this line, but bought this particular BB cream because it looked like the lightest shade from the swatches I’d seen and had the highest SPF. While there is a very slight shimmer factor, it doesn’t look too dewy or unnatural and can be toned down with some setting powder. I did notice some tiny shimmer particles on my hands after applying but they don’t show up on my face.
I’d say the coverage is light to medium; it does a pretty good job of evening out the redness in my skin tone but isn’t thick or pigmented enough to double as a concealer. The texture is light and it has a faint “cosmetic” smell but I didn’t think it was that noticeable and it goes away pretty quickly. I’ve had no negative reactions from using it.
The “Petit” line from Holika Holika comes in a 30 ml tube, which doesn’t initially look like a whole lot, but I’ve been using it pretty much every day for 6 months and still have some left.
Overall, I’m fairly pleased with it but don’t love it enough for a definite repurchase since it’s my first BB cream and there are several others I’d like to try. It only set me back about $9 USD so I feel like it was a good value for the money.
