I bought this in an emergency and had very low expectations. I LOVE it. Not for oily skin, it could be over-hydrating but for normal or dryer it’s amazing. Feel lovely, colour is perfect for me. Only issue is there is NO SPF. WHY?

Skin type: normal to dry but acne prone.
My skin tone has a warm-neutral-light olive tone. For reference, I am MAC NC25 – see my notepad for my colour matches to other brands.
I bought this in Light-Medium which was a bit too dark for my non-tanned winter skin tone. This provides light to medium coverage and the textures is quite thick but light, almost like a gel. I had to mix this with a lighter shade tinted moisturiser to get the shade right.
The logo features the word ‘om’ written sideways along side ‘She’, both underlined with the word ‘aromatherapy’. This indicates the company’s intention to project a certain image – ‘natural’ and ‘holistic’ spring to mind. This contains various ingredients of petrochemical origin which can cause acne and/or pore-clogging – these cheap and nasty ingredients have the superficial benefit of giving greater ‘spreadability’ to products and trapping moisture in the skin. I suffered cystic acne for all of my 20s which was cleared up around age 30 by taking a 6 month course of Accutane. I’m sorry to say that this product is one of the few things in the past 7 years which has caused a flare up of big, red, inflamed cystic pimples. I’m willing to accept that there are other factors which may have caused or contributed to this so once my skin has cleared up I’ll try it again in a few months.
Someone with clearer skin than mine might be able to wear this without concealer but I needed extra help. Finished with a light layer of Meow Mineral (powder) Foundation to provide the coverage I need.
I wish MUA gave the option of ‘Undecided’ with regard to the ‘would you re-purchase?’ question. I’ll say yes until proven otherwise because I really want to like this!
