This is a product I’ve come back to after disliking it (see my review of the creme version of this) but am now loving it since my skin is no longer as oily as I’m getting older and post birth. I’ve now got normal to dry skin I would say and it is working beautifully.
This is a winter product for me, which all BB’s are because I range from Nc25-35 depending on the season and BB creams being lighter generally only work for my tone in winter. I’d say this is NC25-30. It sets a hair darker than it applies.
I use #2 in both the sorbet and creme. The sorbet is a Dior airflash style aerosol in a cute little metal canister – cute but not travel friendly so a lippie off for that. This is the only aerosol fdtn I’ve used so can’t compare but the spraying is very targeted and direct, minimal mess unlike say a bug spray. I spray once for each face zone and blend. It blends like a dream but sets quick so I must do a zone at a time.
The spray area is small so I don’t need to worry about mess. As you can see from the photos, the can recommends spraying onto a little “sponge” included with the can. I use inverted commas because it’s hardly a sponge – it’s a small flat thin piece of sponge which is impossible to use unless you’ve got hours to lightly gently dab at your face with feather light taps. I don’t got time for dat! So I spray, blend with a brush and go. You’re not supposed to spray it all over your face like the Dior. I guess the recommended application method is what they’d say for a cushion?
Coverage good light to good medium – layering is easy and looks flawless. I let each layer dry before adding more which doesn’t take long cos it dries quick. Finish is so natural!
As is usual with Japanese products, this is yellow. Very yellow. Suits me to a tee as I’m pink-phobic and hardly any products are yellow enough for me (except NARS, Shiseido [same owner] MAC or Nanoce).
Lasting power is good, by the end of the day there is a slight wearing off or separation around the mouth but only if you’re up close. Works nicely with my Actinica sunscreen and with powder on top or without.
Finish is satin matte and as I say very natural! I bought two of these in HK expecting them not to last long being an aerosol and I can’t speak to that as I haven’t finished a can yet. It’s sadly not cheap and so not a repurch due to the ease of use of the creme. But I will be using these cans up and definitely purchasing ANYTHING Nanoce releases in future. If you like a satin matte yellow fdtn, try this.
