Weird story: I ended up with this product because someone at Sephora messed up my order — they accidentally put this in with the rest of my order and (I’m assuming) they added much of my order to the person who ordered this. Luckily, the person who ordered it is a paleface like me. So this is basically manna from beauty heaven. I would never have purchased this on my own, for two reasons: 1) I can’t stand fragrance in foundations/BB creams; and 2) I was so disappointed by Fluid Sheers that I never wanted to try another Giorgio Armani cosmetic product. But because I am a devoted beauty junkie, I tried all the products that were accidentally shipped to me (Sephora didn’t want them back) and this one’s a winner. Why I love it:
– I am NC15 and shade 2 is perfect.
– Finish is moist but not greasy or overly dewey, “glow” is extremely subtle and very natural looking. Texture is moist but I have very dry skin so I still need moisturizer underneath it.
– Coverage is sheer, just enough to cover my rosacea redness (when I’m not having a bad flare).
– Sunscreen is there but not substantial enough so I wear my Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Ultra Sheer under it.
– Doesn’t cause rosacea flare or breakout.
I took away 1 lippie because of the strong, completely unnecessary fragrance, as well as the tiny tube/high price combination (for those who don’t get it frree). Overall I give it a big thumbs up! Perfect for summer.

Bought this due to reviews here – sounded perfect for my “mature” skin.. I like the color and coverage, and it doesn’t look like make up. However, It find it hard to get even coverage and end up with some flaky looking spots. It takes a lot of product to get a good looking finish and then it doesn’t even last for a workday. It settles into creases and just doesn’t look good within 6 hours. I don’t have time to redo my face, so I won’t buy this again. P.S. I do not have oily skin
Question for those who do like it – how do you apply it? I wonder if that could be my problem.

For me, its function is just like a normal sunscreen but not a tinted moisturizer (let alone cc cream which supposes to have skin toning function), here are some reasons that I dislike it:
1. 0 coverage: I won’t expect much on coverage for cc cream because it should be for a natural makeup, but I hope that it should have a little like the previous cc creams I bought. But this one has no any coverage, and no matter how many layer I put, it doesn’t cover any of my spots and I must use many concealers to cover them. So if people who want at least some coverage for spots on face, don’t go for this.
2. 0 toning of my skin: maybe I choose a wrong shade because I think that this shade has a perfect match of my skin colour, so turns up I cannot see what I have put up on my skin (plus 0 coverage on my spots).
3. starts to become oily after 4 hours: I am not the person that will get oily face with most of the makeup, but in the opposite, only a few products can make my face oily and this is one of it. Usually I cannot fully “utilize” one oil control sheet even when I didn’t put on any makeup but only after I use this one for 4 hours, I can use up one whole oil control sheet……and I must put up base before apply this to control the oil spilling out, but what is the point of putting on base before just a tinted moisturizer/ cc cream? ==
For me, 0 coverage + 0 skin toning = a normal sunscreen, so to me, this cc cream is a disappointment and won’t purchase it again. I still have one more left unused with shade #4 so if u want it, you can contact me.

I have used this product daily for a good few months now, I really like it, I don’t love it and it is not HG for me, but I do really like it a lot. I have been using this product as a base all over my face and then I would add concealer under eyes and on a few acne scars, top with loose powder to set and dust a bit of power foundation on areas needing more coverage. This product is really a tinted sunscreen, it is very sheer and doesn’t provide a ton of coverage. However, despite not providing coverage, it does seem to even out the complexion somehow if that makes any sense. The texture is smooth and light, and it has a glowy dewy-ish finish to it, but because my skin is combo-oily, I can’t wear it alone without setting it with powder otherwise I will look like an oil slick within less than 10 minutes. Having said that, this product doesn’t feel moisturizing either, it just sinks into the skin and has a sheen to it if worn on its own. Moreover, I like that it provides me SPF 35 sunscreen and that it doesn’t seem to oxidize on oily skin. But speaking of oily skin, that is the one sticking point why this product is not at HG status or love status for me — this product definitely makes my skin get oilier faster than usual. For some reason, this product makes my skin produce more oil rather than less, it doesn’t matter what powder I use or how much powder I use on top (and I use a ton), this makes my skin grease up quite fast. Most other products that make my skin oily fast also slide off my face fast because they are usually thick, but because this product is so sheer, I don’t get that meltdown effect, but I still get too much oil. I use Shade #2 and I think #3 is probably a closer match to my light olive NC20 skin, but because it is so super sheer, the #2 was just fine. Overall, I think this is a nice product, a nice sheer product that evens out the complexion, has a luminous finish, and offers sun protection. However, oily gals use at your own risk, this product definitely makes my oily prone skin produce more oil whenever I wear it.

Like most people, Armani Luminous Silk has earned the top spot in my foundation collection so naturally I picked this up as the weather warms. The texture is fantastic yet light and I happen to LOVE the scent of it (a very light scent that fades), the color I chose matches fairly well and the finish was absolutely beautiful (very sheer)… BUT, while it’s “rose glow” sounds great for most, it’s an automatic “uh-oh” for us yellow toned people. Nonetheless, I wear it under mineral and liquid foundation and it wasn’t until recently I tried adding a couple Cover FX to balance out the pinks tones to suit my yellow was and bump up the coverage a notch and found that little mixture instantly became my favorite summer foundation by far! Very lightweight and beautiful finish. Oily skin: use with caution. This held up very well the entire day but I did notice I had to blot a few extra times than usual.

I absolutely love this product. Ive used it liberally for about a year and I just ran out. It really corrects my skin and feels so good in the morning on my skin. Also love the spf 35

I am loving my Giorgio Armani Luminessence CC Cream ~ it is fantastic that it is SPF 35 ~ and can be worn alone or under another foundation. Most of the time I wear it alone. Other times under Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (#5.5). I wear the #5 CC Creme alone, though if I always wore it under the LSF, I might choose the lighter #4. Unlike another reviewer, I do not notice I have it on. I was asked by a woman I barely know why I looked so fantastic, and off she went to go buy this CC Cream!

This is a lovely product, designed I think, more for mature or dry skin. It has the quality and innovation you’d expect from Armani and, for the price, it should. It is a fairly thick cream that’s housed in a tube, so it’s easy to dispense just enough. There’s a light, pleasant odor, but it dissipates very quickly. It applies easily with fingers, and gives a glowy, light-medium coverage that can be layered. However, like another reviewer, I had a bit of trouble with pilling in one small area (odd, but easily corrected). It feels a bit heavy on the skin–I’m aware that I’m wearing it, and it’s not an unpleasant sensation, but it is so. (I think it may be due to all the good-for-your-skin ingredients, and I think I’ll enjoy wearing it more during cooler weather.) It’s quite moisturizing, so oily and even combo skins should proceed with caution. Despite that, though, it wears extremely well and really does make make my skin look better–the formula’s extremely light luminescence is very flattering, especially to aging skin. Armani claims it has an SPF of 35, but since I live in the desert I don’t rely on any kind of foundation for sun protection. I have light/medium skin that’s on the light side, and I wear #2. It leans a tiny bit peachy, but it’s flattering, so I have no complaint about that. So if you have dry or mature skin and can afford it ($50 for 1 oz.), give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.
Update 12/17/14–This is indeed better for winter, now that my skin is drier. I wore it to an event yesterday and got an amazing number of compliments on my skin. Great stuff for dry/aging skin!

I set aside my foundations by Tom Ford, Sisley, Make-Up Forever and even yes, Armani, as this is now the only product I use.
It makes you glow, diffuses lines and shadows, is not greasy, integrates beautifully, lasts ll day and despite feeling light (it is a CC cream after all) it provides all the coverage I need.
A pea-sized amount covers my entire face.

I really like this CC Cream and I had bought #2 in this which was a tad bit too dark on me. Then I bought #1 which was a tad bit too light. Hence, I returned them. It was also sticky and the stickiness didn’t go away as the day progressed and my mascara was smudging because of it. It also looked too shiny but to be honest that didn’t bother me because that’s normal for me anyway and i address it by blotting throughout the day. In all a good product but I find the colour choices to be ‘off’ especially since their foundation colours are phenomenal for my NC15/GA Luminous Silk #3 skintone. On the bright side, my skin feels baby soft at the end of the day when i remove this at time of cleansing, and my skin looks beautifully luminous when wearing this (like i slept a good night sleep as advertised). Regardless, a no sale for me due to the non-matching with the shades provided and stickiness feel throughout the day.
