I’d never tried a BB cream I really liked until this one, most of the ones I’d used were just like tinted moisturiser, offering little to no coverage.
But then I recently decided to change to a BB cream from my 100% Pure Fruit Pigment Foundation. I really wanted something a bit more natural looking and moisturising because my skin had become a bit drier in the past few months, forcing me to stop using the 100% Pure foundation (it had begun to accentuate my dry areas).
So, I ordered a heap of organic, cruelty free bb cream samples to test. Out of all of them this was the stand out by far, followed very closely by the 100% Pure BB cream.
As soon as I applied the La Mav it just felt like it was made for my skin. Nice shade, a really lovely natural looking, medium coverage with sun protection, and it felt moisturising on my dryer skin. While it is perfect for me I’m not sure if it would work so well on oily skin, so maybe just order a sample to try first if this is the case for you.
I chose the La Mav over the 100% Pure for two reasons. One was that I felt it’s coverage was a bit better than 100% Pure, and also because it was cheaper. La Mav feels nice and light on the skin, unlike most traditional foundations, which can look cakey. It did a good job of hiding the shadows under my eyes I sometimes get when tired, it also tones any redness or discolourations and stays put all day.
I ordered the full size after all my testing was done and I’m still loving it, it has completely replaced my foundation.
