This is like a terrible foundation. It’s full coverage. Here is why I’m giving it only 1 lippie. The coverage reminds me of what makeup was like in 1982. Just gross. In addition to that, it takes HOURS to dry down, so make sure you’re fully dressed before you put this stuff on because it will stain your clothes and you will need to wash them several times to get the pigment off. This is “sweatproof”, however, when you sweat, you will sweat pigment and it will stain your clothes. God damn this stuff is awful.

The best tinted sunscreen in the market. I got the light color and matches my skin tone perfectly. Love the coverage and will definitely repurchase. Thanks Avene for this amazing sunscreen!

Purchased at SDM – Canada. Three colour options. I have light. Ingredients from Avene site – USA
Pros:
Mineral filter only – no chemical
Water resistant – needs an oil and or micellar water to remove
I can wear on my eyelids all day without creasing.
Light shade is yellow based. Compared to PC Resist Ultra this is more yellow. PC is pinkish beige.
Available at the drug store in Canada.
Does not bother my sensitive skin.
Tint is flattering on me and neutralizes redness.
Not shiny.
Cons
I could not wear a full face of this product. If you wearing a lot, I suggest blending it out with a sponge.
I would prefer a more liquid, easier to blend formula.
I will repurchase. I was previously using PC Resist spf 30 (tinted zinc) on my eyelids. This is easier to find, less money and wears well as a eyelid primer with sunscreen. Worth having even if I only wear it on eyelids. Currently wearing a small amount over another sunscreen.(Full application of other SS) The small amount is applied like makeup and camouflages redness and stays matt.
UPDATE: September 2018 – will not repurchase, Difficult to apply as it does not blend. I will either repurchase PC Resist Ultra Light spf 30 (tinted zinc) – reviewed or try another tinted sunscreen. Currently wearing only on eyelids.

If you’re comparing sunscreen colors, Avene Medium shade is MUCH darker and more yellow than my regular Paula’s Choice Resist Wrinkle Defense SPF 30.

This products is terrible. It’s thick, hard to blend, cakey, (tried to blend blot out the shininess with powder and it mate it look worse) pores clogged right away, oh and when you start to sweat it separates and cakes even more. I had to wipe this off in the middle of the day it was so bad.
Come on Avene, you can do better than this. I love the eau thermal high spf compact. It goes on smooth, blends well and sets matte. I’ll be sticking with that for the summer eve though the color selection is very limited.
So glad I got a sample of this and didn’t pay money for it. Not recommended.

I got a sample of this in its lightest shade at the local pharmacy. A huge disappointment. First: the scent is unbearable; slightly floral and powdery
– not the kind of smell you want on your face. Second: it is very heavy and opaque and left my skin quite clogged. Third: it was rather orange-pink and only oxidized further as the day went on.

Mon dieu, c’est magnifique.
I am a tinted-moisturizer, BB-cream, CC-cream, whatever-you-wanna-call it junkie. I have searched high and low for the perfect one, meaning mineral/physical sunblock, neutral tint, good coverage. I had been alternating between Tarte Amazonian Clay (good! but oxidizes) and IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better (nice! but funny smell and a little too pink) before happening upon this at the famous New York drugstore CO Bigelow.
The consistency is thick but smooth–a little goes a long way–the shade is PERFECT, velvety, golden undertones that neutralize any redness (I got in light). Really helps hide my large hideous pores, acne scars, etc. And the packaging is so elegant.
I am absolutely in love–worth every penny–Please, Avene, keep making this!
