Wowzer. Finally one I really liked.
This is a small bath bomb in comparison to others. Shaped like a tree and turns the water a mild green. No swirls, fizzing, popping, but I don’t personally care for those.
It has the Breath of God fragrance. I’ve had a shower card with the scent and that didn’t impress me, but this sure did. It is incensy, resiny, and very woodsy. Think buddhist temple in the Himalayas. But wait- it’s Buddhist temple meets grandfather’s barbershop. Has a hint of aftershave or shaving cream our granddads used. Takes a specific person perhaps, but damn I love it. I found it very soothing and thought it really was like the product description. Often I’d buy scents labelled as woodsy only to not get anything woodsy at all, more like citrus. This lived up to expectations and if the B.O.G. perfume is anything like this it’s to die for.
It could be considered masculine by some, so probably not great for lovers of sweet candy and florals. I love that it smells like a man who’d spent hours in a forest or wood cabin, and maybe grandpa because who doesn’t miss grandpa.
Doesn’t feel nourishing, but not drying either. It felt like a detox bath tbh, but I did use very hot water so maybe that’s why. It has a relaxing feel overall, and comforting without being anything like a gourmand smell and without butters in the formula. No slip or staining in the tub.
I knocked off lippies because the scent is weak, but it’s at least much more there than my other recent lush purchases. For the price it’s not worth it to me, but would be if wherever you’re buying them the scent still packs a proper Lush punch. If so, and you like woodsy, meditative shaving cream (or are buying for an outdoorsy male), I recommend.
