Overall, it’s a very nice product. It doesn’t make my skin feel greasy, and it keeps my face soft and smooth. It absorbs and hydrates very quickly. I have to use a tiny bit due to my oily complexion, so a little bit goes a very long way for me.
I put this on before adding another layer of moisturizer (Nature Republic’s Super Aqua Max Combination Watery Cream) and it keeps my face evenly moisturized without breakouts.

I really love this product. I use it either following a toner or after oil or gentle cleansing. I have super sensitive, reactive skin that’s pretty parched this winter, and I was a bit nervous about the level of fragrance at first, but it goes on gently and hydrates excellently. I believe it’s meant to be used in conjunction with the serum and water bank cream for optimal results, but I’ve tried it with Weleda products, for instance, and it works brilliantly.

I bought this at Target because I was curious about the Korean-style skin care products that everyone seems to be talking about nowadays. This was underwhelming. The texture was a thin, runny lotion that I applied to my freshly washed skin. It absorbed quickly but it wasn’t nearly moisturizing enough- my skin felt dry after it absorbed, not moisturized. I returned this because my skin looked no brighter (I know it’s just mica usually that gives the luminous look in skin care products so it’s an optical illusion but I had no such effect here) and so I thought I’d skip it.

Nice, light and easily absorbed moisturizing emulsion. I bought this from Target (along with a few other Laneige products – see my other reviews) and this is my #2 favorite after the BB Cushion.
METHOD OF USE: I use this twice a day (1 pump each time) and am only halfway through my bottle, so you get value for your $. This is the second layer of moisture that goes on my skin – after cleansing, I spritz my face with La Roche Posay Thermal Water, let that dry for about 30 seconds then apply this emulsion using the Clarins method, then apply my sunscreen/night cream etc.
PACKAGING: This comes in a nice, thick glass bottle with a pump – sanitary, and looks great on your counter. It looks more expensive than it costs.
RESULTS: I enjoy this because it is a lightweight emulsion that is moisturizing at the same time. As for improvements in my skin, I wouldn’t say the differences are startlingly obvious, but they are there – my skin has an added luminosity to it and looks softer.

Almost finishing my first bottle, didn’t cause any breakouts to my sensitive and delicate skin. Not sure about the anti-aging effects if used solely but I think the synergy with Laneige perfect renew cream & night treatment has made my skin much smoother and firmer.. just need to maintain my oily T zone with another mattifying product. Totally loveEeee the relaxing scent, makes me look forward to my daily skincare ritual. Those with dry skin will need to follow up with a moisturising cream.

Overall a really good emulsion- smells heavenly, lovely milky gel texture, absorbs quickly, leaves my skin dewy and fresh looking. This is my favorite product out of the Perfect Renew line.

I haven’t tried the toner yet but for me, this emulsion works well by itself. After 2 application, i notice that my skin is a lot smoother, looks a lot healthier and for some reason, it seems my serum works better than before (I use a lancome serum). One more thing, I applied this serum before my night shift and practically did not get any sleep that night but when I got back home the next morning, I saw my skin still looks okay. It usually looks dull after a long night shift. So, in conclusion, I think this emulsion is worth it.

I love the whole perfect renew range, I put this on after the toner and it leaves my skin so smooth and hydrated, and those with younger or oily skin can just leave it here and not use the serum or cream after. It has made such a difference to my acne prone skin, I’ve had less breakouts and if I do breakout, they clear alot faster. I’ve also noticed my scars and hyperpigmentation is slightly lighter as well. The packaging is really good quality but quite heavy as it’s glass, and it can be quite expensive depending where you buy it and in which country. I would definately buy this again as it’s so versatile. I use the toner with this emulsion in the summer and come winter add the serum and cream to the line as well.

AH HAH! Seems like I am the first one in the 30-35 age range to post a review 🙂
As a preventive measure, this may be fine, but it didn’t deliver for me! And I used this in combination with other products in this range.
I am a beauty sucker!! When I am introduced a product, I usually get conned (by the SA or myself) to purchase the entire line!!! Yes, I waste a lot of money at times when I find the products don’t work, I tend to stop using everything and find something new 🙁 sigh
Well, that happened with this range 🙁 and it wasn’t cheap too!

Laneige Perfect Renew Emulsion
The consistency of this emulsion is not thick like most moisturizers- more of like a lightly thickened fluid. It is lightly scented but doesn’t give any bad reactions to my sensitive skin. This is my favorite product among the Perfect Renew line of Laneige. I would usually have an occasional flaking and drying (eew) on my skin during cold seasons but I haven’t had one since I started using this emulsion.
The packaging is in a blue, transparent pump-bottle. It looks good on my table, but not really practical because of the risk of breakage, especially since I travel long distances quite often.
How I apply it: I use this after my Perfect Renew Toner. I use about half a pump, and using my fingertips, spread it lightly on my face starting from the middle then outwards to the contours
Pros:
– Together with the toner, it gives enough hydration to my skin all throughout the day (I spend 6-8 hours in an air-conditioned office)
– It doesn’t give a sticky feel on my skin
– A small pea size is enough for my entire face
– Absorbs easily on my skin
Cons:
– Quite pricey (100ml costs about $40)
