I think this shampoo is over priced. I don’t think it did anything different that other less expensive shampoos have done. My hair is color treated & it’s not dry but it does tend to get a little oily. I am going to try a different brand of shampoo with Keratin in it. So I obviously won’t be purchasing this again.

I tried the purple Keratin shampoo and conditioner Overall liked the results it gave my hair but had a few qualms with it..I will start with the cons and end with the pros to give you an idea..first off, It’s the sally’s brand for the It’s a 10 salon products. and yet on the pricey side…like $15 bucks a bottle and there’s 10oz in the bottle which will go by way too fast if you have alot of hair. I have alot of hair but its rather thin so the shampoo and conditioner lasted me a month. so for me it wasn’t bad, but for girls with thick hair it wouldn’t last. I found the pump useless because I had to get so much of the product out just to lather because it is sulfate free which is a plus, but it felt like i just had to keep pushing the pump too much just to get enough out. Pros: Made my hair feel very soft. My husband and coworkers noticed and made comments. Helped to smooth and strengthen. I liked the fact that it’s sulfate and salt free so it definitely helps to extend the life of your hair color as it claims. So although it was pricey I believe it was worth it because it did deliver results. One more thing Although it wasn’t my cup of tea i suppose it smells nice. very fruity. I don’t like it as much as everyone else does it was too fruity for me but its definitely not bad. Overall a good product that I would recommend. Just be aware that it might go fast if you have a lot of hair like i said…check out the Sally’s website for sales as they have them go on sale or have b2g1 free sales every now and then

I recently had my hair hightlighted and it was dried out. I wanted to buy It’s A 10 but it is too expensive so I went to Sally’s for the off brand. This shampoo/conditioner really made my hair soft and smooth. I would highly recommend it.

I have very thick hair, I’ve been using this stuff exclusively for years. Never had any problems, I do think the formula was changed a bit at some point though. The bottles used to be tan, now they’re lavender, it used to leave my hair feeling like silk back before the bottles changed. One time after that change I found the old styled bottles again, and noticed an immediate improvement. But either way, this shampoo and conditioner is wonderful, I will search stores looking for it. Everywhere around me seems to cucke in and out of offering it, it’s a little frustrating, I think I’m just going to start ordering it online because I’ve been out for a few months now and my hair is unhappy! Certainly never had issues with my hair falling out like some people say? That’s bizarre. Excellent product!

This is such an amazing scalp health booster. It smells amazing and exfoliates my scalp gently. It is great for sloughing away dead skin and keeping their hair follicles clear and clean. My hair is also thicker and healthier than ever.

I’m confused on what to say about this shampoo. It definitely is great against dandruff and oil smells on hair, but it caused my hair to fall. I lost a lot of it, until I realized what was causing it.

I used this back whenever I was in middle school (I am now finishing up my freshman year of college), and even back then, this product made my hair fall out. I randomly decided to research if anyone else had experienced hair loss as well, and I can’t say I’m not surprised. My hair felt very nice when I first started using it, but after a few months, my hair began coming out in clumps. I mainly tried this product because it had an aggresive marketing strategy. However, you’d think that since they had enough money to constantly run ads, then they’d maybe improve their formula to not cause hair loss. I also got bad dandruff when using this product, but I’m not going to directly correlate the two.
I was probably around 11-13 when I used Clear, and I honestly hate the idea of anyone using this product (especially the elderly or those with a compromised immune system). Even my sister, who is 8 years older than me, also noticed that her hair was falling out too. Regardless of age, this product is very damaging.
If you’ve used this product and want to repair your hair with drugstore products, then try using a combo of the L’Oréal Total Repair Shampoo and the OGX Biotin and Colagen Conditioner. I began using OGX to grow my hair back after using Clear, and implemented the L’Oréal shampoo around my sophomore year of HS.
Moral of the story: don’t use this product since its company obviously hasn’t tried to improve its formula for about 6-7 years. I never experienced the burning/red scalp that most have, but I definitely lost a decent bit of hair. There are way better drugstore alternatives that can help keep your hair healthy and promote growth.

I tried this product last year (the purple bottle) and had bad irritation. I didn’t think too much of it. I tried it again for a month and it seriously messed up my scalp. My scalp got really red, flaky, and itchy. My hair was falling out in chunks. A day after washing, my hair looked like an oil field. Considering the crummy ingredients (fragrance is 5th ingredient listed), I shouldn’t have tried this shampoo in the first place. However, it had good reviews and it’s pretty cheap. Won’t recommend if you like your hair

Bought this on a whim, and it turned out to be a nice shampoo & conditioner, the smell is pleasant and it did give my flat thin hair some bounce to it when I blew it out. The downside is if you’re looking for strengthening benefits, frizz control, or color protection that definitely won’t come from this product.

it’s really nothing special. it’s anti-dandruff properties are okay and all, but they make my hair feel pretty dry and limp in the end. i’ve been using samples here and there and just trying to finish up the product. it’s not really one i’d recommend, i guess.

i have thick, long, wavy oily hair that never tangles even without conditioner accept for this one. its supposed to be healthy but it sucks. leaves my hair a stuck in one big ass tangled mess. i have to waste time using a tiny bit of there conditioner which than makes my hair detangle but super greasy. one product defeats the the other. don’t waste you’re time or money on these. plus the bottles are huge so washing i n the sink takes up lots if space. OVERATED AND OVERPRICED

Makes my own hair dry which is color treated and combination oily at the root, dry on at the ends. It also strips my beautiful salon color. It works great on my 8 year old beagle and makes his fur so cuddly/soft. For such a big bottle at least there is a good use for it.

Nothing special

This is a pretty average shampoo which is disappointing, considering all the rave reviews it seems to get all over the internet. I really didn’t like the scent of it – it smelt like cheap soap – and it had a weird consistency, like partially set jelly. Credit where it’s due, a little did go a long way which meant it latest me about 2 months (using it every day), but it took quite a bit of work to get it to lather and it didn’t do anything great for my hair. I’m glad I tried it but I’m not sure I’d repurchase it as it just didn’t wow me.

I use shampoo and conditioner and My hair did not grow 🙁 hair has been damaged ,the scalps do not feel comfortable .. Mane’n Tail you disappoint me !

I used to use this back in my relaxer stretching days. Back then my hair was a texture of half kinky type 4C hair and half relaxed hair. It did a decent job of cleaning my hair but I did notice it was pretty stripping similar to a clarifying shampoo. Its pretty runny but not impossible to get through the hair. Its white almost like a pearl color. It also has a very fresh clean smell to it not really overpowering to me but I’m not sensitive to fragrance in the first place. It does have fragrance in it though so if you are sensitive to that you may want to keep it pushing. It didn’t really do anything good or bad for my hair but it didn’t really impress me as a shampoo so I don’t buy it anymore. I don’t remember what the price was years ago so it may have changed but I don’t remember it being terribly expensive. And you get a fairly large bottle larger than the average shampoo bottle in the stores so you do get quite a bit for the value. I won’t purchase this again because for me it was just average not amazing but not harmful either.

This cleans really really well and I like that the smell is subtle but it still smells clean and light. Not too overpowering or annoying. I wash my hair once every three days and this cleans as well as I need it to especially when I oil my hair once a week to deep condition it. I’ve noticed less hair fall since I started using this along with the conditioner. I love it.

The sales person at Sally’s recommended this shampoo and said it was the best. It was definitely a little bit expensive, but I thought “If it works, I’m willing to spend that amount”. I tried it for 2 weeks and didn’t see any results, so I gave it to my daughter she used it for 1 month and a half together with the “Miracle 7 leave in conditioner” and didn’t see any result or improvement neither. I do not recommend this shampoo or the leave in conditioner.

The best shampoo I have ever found at sallys.. I like it better than most of the stuff I have bought from salons.. The only con is how small the bottles are and how much it cost. The bottle is supper cute though and has a pump. Leaves my hair so soft. I have thick curly hair that I get dyed at the salon dark brunette. I can’t remember how long ago my hair felt this soft. I have only used it twice so far! I can’t wait to go try the leave in conditioner and other products. I use the products with Keratin in them. I love the results and sally’s often have a deal on the products I’ve noticed..

I have keratinized hair therefore sulfate free is a must. This shampoo is the best, I’ve tried all the drugstore and a lot of high end sulfate free shampoos. This review is for the keratin formula. It is moisturizing, lathers, cleanses, non stripping with a wonderful smell.
lazyPudding9
Okay ladies, I gotta tell you, this stuff is the best! I agree with the previous reviewer that it is over priced. Having said that, this is one of the best shampoo/conditioners I’ve ever used. I have very thick, wavy, unruly hair. This stuff leaves my hair so soft and smooth, and the smell is like nothing I’ve ever smelled before. Think garden of eden. My hair has never felt better, even immediately after an otc color. Would I buy again? Again, and again, and again.
lazyTomatoe4
I’ve been using it for a year now and I love it! I used to have really bad dandruff at my hair line where it was super visible. Once I started to use Clear I noticed results in 2 days and haven’t gone back to any other product sense. Works like a charm!!!

Terrifying. Used for first time yesterday morning and my usually oily scalp was itching like crazy. This morning, same thing, and when I got to my parking garage, NOTICED HAIR ALL OVER MY LAP. It had fallen out during my commute! This crap should be banned. I’m only sorry I didn’t read the reviews here first.

I recently bought the strong lengths shampoo because it was on clearance and thought why not give it a shot.I loved the smell and was excited because of all the claims, less breakage and full of vitamins!Well when I lathered up my scalp started burning like it was on fire!I was horrified and frantically rinsed and had to shampoo with my usual Loreal shampoo just to remove this crap! slowly the burning subsided but wow never imagined a shampoo could do that.Read about people experiencing hair loss,I’m not surprised. This stuff needs to be taken off the market.

Veeeery drying!!!! Used it on my dyed, straight hair. Hair felt clean but very unhealthy…;(
Do NOT recommend.

I would steer clear of this product. The shampoo was so dry that I was left with matted hair and hair conditioner was a must. It’s just too dry

I didnt like this it made my scalp hurt

This shampoo is nice, but not really worth the price. It has a nice scent, and I really like the pump bottle it comes in. I have long, thin, fragile hair, but I had to use quite a bit to work up a nice lather. Once that was accomplished, it did clean nicely and didn’t strip my hair or cause tangles. It was nice, however for the price, I really expected more. After using the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in mist (I bought the whole set) my hair was very soft, and tangle free, but it caused my hair to get “poofy”..almost to the frizzy point. It didn’t seem to dry my hair out, but did cause it to fluff up and look dry. I think it’s overpriced, and there are many better shampoos out there. Ask for a sample before you buy if money is an issue, as the Sally’s I go to had samples.
