Doesn’t work. I put this in and diffuse, just as I do with Bumble Curl Creme or Briogeo thickening spray, among others, and I get nothing but straight chunks. Other products give me loose curls. My hair used to be curly and is now wavy and thin. Diffusing with a curl activator gives me volume and curls. This product is crap.

This is another conditioner I keep coming back to. I use it as a rinse out conditioner and/or a leave in conditioner. I use it when it is very dry out and I do not want a product with glycerine in it. I mostly use it as a leave in. I mix it with DevaCurl Styling Cream and/or Ouadad Climate Control gel. I have fine, frizzy 2b to 3b hair. This product gives consistent results. It is moisturizing but not too heavy for my fine hair.
Thank you Crystal why the material is so sturdy. As there is only one color of sheer chemicals I don’t find too sticky. I feel like I am with my hair’s culture.
Thanks for purchasing! You could use an Ulta black coconut in lieu of the leaves. I will post results soon.
and finally My face…Smells nice
Beautiful. Thank you Crystal Thank you so much, and we know it went well.
Quick Coupons… Aborn Black feels like a nice color to wear on your head. I don’t get a lot of plans in Amazon where they take discounts for amazing items. So I’m buying this product.

My hair is fine, non-porous, and on the border between wavy and curly (2c/3a depending on environmental factors), and this is the best conditioner I have ever used. It provides sufficient slip to comb my hair, and doesn’t weigh it down or leave any gross residue. Plus, BONUS, I’m not allergic to it, and I’m allergic to everything.
The smell is very light and pleasant, and after I’ve rinsed it out I can’t smell it anymore. I realize some people might not see this as a plus, but for a fragrance-sensitive, headache-and-migraine-prone, allergic mess like me, it’s a godsend.
Let’s talk ingredients! I’m that annoying person who stops in the middle of every aisle and obsessively studies the ingredient labels when I’m shopping. It’s a self-defense mechanism! So anyway, the first thing I do is check the list for things I have a known allergy/sensitivity to. Then I look for things that will accomplish what I want. So this met my criteria for the first by not having things like chamomile, lemon, blueberry, banana, wheat, any of the -thiazolinones, etc, that always seem to show up in conditioners; and it DOES have behentrimonium methosulfate, which for my money is the best conditioning agent that exists–it’s an emulsifier (binds water and oil together) and it’s cationic so it is attracted to human hair and holds the good stuff on to it. Nice. No silicone
Anyway, I’ve repurchased this several times and I’ve never had a bad experience. I’ve used it in hard water, soft water, and filtered water and it works for me no matter what.
So now you know. I found my holy grail in the aisle of a Target.
PS my allergies sound like they’d be pretty delicious all together, don’t they?

This is THE BEST leave-in conditioner and detangler I’ve ever used. I have 2b wavy, fine, medium density, low porosity hair. I’ve tried a few leave-in conditioners, but this one leaves my hair bouncy, shiny, and holds my curls without having to use a hard hold gels and other products that tend to weigh it down. I use Mop Top Curly Custard on top of this, and diffuse my hair. Perfect…

Now, this is supposed to work as a leave-in conditioner as well as a detangler. In my experience, this product only works as a detangler. It is simply not heavy enough to work as a leave-in for my hair type. Kinky Curly also says it should be used along with their gel. I’ve used this combo and had the same results, my hair was way too dry.
That said, this is the best detangler I’ve ever used. It’s actually unbelievable especially considering it is silicone-free. It has saved me on many an occasion. Due to the price, I only break it out when I have a major situation but it gives me great peace of mind to know that I have this in my arsenal when an emergency situation occurs.

I don’t mind paying a premium price for a premium product but I like the CURLS the brand of products better. This doesn’t really have a scent that is strong kind of like lotion and I did use it w KTCC the smell of CURLS is amazing that’s the first thing CURLS has over this. The second is that my Kroger carries more of the CURLS brand products. They are comparable in price & work pretty much the same I prefer CURLS I think I had better KCKT I have to use a diffuser w this it just wouldn’t dry. I hate using heat on my hair so CURLS edges it out there & I don’t know if I should be using a gel w this. I don’t know if it would rebuy. Im so basic i really just like cantu curl activator best w some eco styler or Aussie instant freeze gel -OR- herbal essences totally twisted mousse mist it over w some Pantene Air Spray.l. Bonus this didn’t make my hair sticky. It always feels light & btw I can’t brush my waves or I wouldn’t have them my curl pattern is more a wave pattern & it’s pretty weak. I’d have an Afro if I tried to brush out my hair it’s got to be SOTC & finger formed I’ve got 2B/2C hair it’s naturally wavy more than curly some I guess but the waves are kinky. For now I’m sticking w CURLS.i have to say I’m disappointed this is so many ppls HG. :-/

i’ve tried this leave in both with Kinky-Curly’s Curling Custard and without, and does it actually make a major difference in regards to how the Custard performs? No. However, does it work as a good detangler and non-greasy leave in? Yes. However, I don’t think that it is a must-have when using Kinky-Curly’s Curling Custard every time. Also, I am not big on using detangler’s all year round, like others may be, only because my hair is not very prone to tangling. So, while yes, this products is a nice one, the only real time that I would have use for it is when the weather is very cool or cold out. Otherwise, I can just get away with using the Custard all by itself in my hair 99% of the time. Now, I also don’t use gel all year round either, nay when it is hot and very humid out, as desired. This is Bly because the Custard does provide a very firm hold, and does leave my hair with a crunchy cast to it, that once you sleep on your hair does break some, but not a whole lot. However, the Custard is able to tackle the most hottest and the most humid weather, which is why, I choose to use it, when I need it and do happen to stay stocked up on it.
The leave in, is an nfrequent purchase, so, even though I picked yes, that I would buy it again, it is not a product that I have constant need for in my hair care regimen all year round at all.

I just want to say amen for this whole line. my children are mixed and their hair is very difficult to tame therefore rarely being able to wear their hair down but with this line of product it makes their hair absolutely beautiful and their curls are luxurious. I wish it wasn’t so expensive but it’s definitely a great product

I love this stuff, I have 2c/3a shoulder length very dry hair. I color with lush hennas maybe 4 times a year if in not feeling lazy. Recently switched to CG friendly products however I have been using this for 2-3 years now. I’m the first to admit I’m a product junkie and this is one of the few bottles that have ever been emptied and repurchased. I love this as a rinse out and a leave in. After a cowash I use a microfiber hair towel to squeeze out a bit of extra water and then run about a quarter size amount between my hands and apply while finger coming. My tangles melt away, my hair stays hydrated and I can use this as my only styler if I want but usually top with 3 drops of jojoba oil for soft frizz free defined Whirly waves. Definitely can’t live without this stuff totally worth a try! The only thing I don’t enjoy is when the cap gets clogged with product if I forget to shut it however a quick run under some hot tap water cleans it out very easily!

This really doesn’t do anything for my hair – for a detangler it’s not enough slip even if I use a ton of it. It might be a good leave-in for someone; for my fine, 3C, low-po hair, it doesn’t do much. Leave-ins under gel just make my mane lifeless and limp. Like all KC products, it does smell great, it has no parabens or silicones (not necessarily important for for me), and it’s a bit pricey.
