I got this for $20 at Walmart almost 10 years ago and it’s still in really good shape. It fits my entire makeup collection in it and it’s a lot sturdier than the old, plastic Caboodles cases of the 90’s. It’s completely full right now. In the four drawers I have eye shadows (top drawer on one side), lip glosses (top drawer on the other side), lip balms and lipsticks (the drawer under the lipsticks) and then the drawer under the eye shadows has my mascaras, brushes, eye liners and tweezers. The big compartment is perfect for holding my palettes, cotton balls and hair stuff. If it ever broke, I would definitely buy anther one to replace it. I love this case!

I picked up the pink one with the silver trimming at target today for about $30. I took out the dividers in each of the 4 compartments so these are what I use for each one:
1. eyeliners/gel liners/concealers/chapstick/lash glue
2. Lipglosses/lipliners/brow gel/mascaras
3. About 14 lipsticks. I stack them one top of each other. Wish the lipsticks could fit sideways, def would put more in.
4. Mac/tarte blushes. I have them leaning against each other instead of stacking them.
Then biggest compartment, I just put misc items: foundations, fix+, Mac palette, qtips, lash curler, moisturizer, lashes, small bottle of makeup remover, bronZer, highlighter, setting powder and a small brush cleaner bottle.
-Overall, I have all my go to products in this traincase. Haven’t travelled with it yet but I wouldn’t mind purchasing another one to fill the rest of my makeup! 🙂

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
I stored my makeup here, there, everwhere… I was hesitant to purchase this at first, but it was only about $30 at Wal-Mart and considering the fact that it holds all my stuff, I find it to be perfect!
It meets all my needs and will be traveling with me on any and all my trips. I find it to be quite sturdy also, but I’m not hard on it.
If you’re a makeup junkie like me, it’s a MUST have to hold all your haul.

I have two of these train cases and they are great (and both completely full LOL!). I bought them over three years ago and they have held up perfectly. I need to invest in about two more to make room for all the stuff I’ve collected recently!

I can’t bring myself to buy the pricey Sephora Train case. I tried the Japonesque one first($60.), but it was too small. This is very roomy. I like it a lot. The trays are a lttle flimsy, but for $30 I’ll just be careful.
Really nice alternative to the Sephora Train Case.

I got my first one from Target and then the same one I found at Sallybeauty on clearance. It’s sturdy and holds a lot of makeup. I like how the trays sit in the doors for some added support.

The Caboodles Pro silver train case is surprisingly great for the price. I have purchased many a train-case in my life. The basic needs I have in a train case is that it stores the ‘basics’ that I use on a regular basis. (My extras I have in a tall rolling drawer system with cool colored drawers on a metal frame that I can pull out rare or unusual colors I wouldn’t normally use.)
My train case needs to have space for my 8+ blushes (bronzers & highlighters) that I use on a regular basis, my 20+ eye shadows, my large soft brush case that I keep 20 brushes, foundation, Anti-perspirant, container of lipsticks (hard rectangular 7″x4″x3″), and mascara, liners, and eyelash curler.
The reason I want everything to fit in one container is that I get ready while watching TV on the bed. I like to lie my train case out in front of me and be able to see everything close up.
I am perhaps one of the few who actually take her entire train case with her on a trip. I pack this in my rolling carry on suitcase along with my laptop computer inside. It makes travel much more convenient when I don’t have to unpack all my cosmetics and live out of a bag for the time I’m on vacation.
I had previously had the MAC train case which fanned out that I really did not like because my makeup was so far away from me and it tipped on the bed. This one fans out in both directions equally and is very sturdy and does not tip.
Since I’ve owned so many train cases I think I can be very accurate in my description of the pros and cons of this case.
Pro:
great shape and style exterior
fans out equally on both sides
comes with lock and key
great latching system
price $26 at target!
very sturdy and is great for travel
cons:
a bit smaller than I had hoped
would prefer drawers that could be washed (metal)
