I believe the full sized bottle of the liquid version was taken off the market for a while, and then reappeared with a different bottle. In this new version, you flip the top, then you press the beautyblender onto the top of the dispenser and the product absorbs into it (reminds me of nail polish remover dispensers that they use in nail salons). Mine doesn’t have the pleasant lavender scent I remember, and the dispenser squirts too much cleanser into the bb, so I have to be very meticulous and make sure that the cleanser is fully rinsed out of the sponge. I was loving the solid version for a while, but the liquid version is better for cleaning the bb sponge, since it is able to penetrate deep into the sponge.

I have several different brands of brushes, both synthetic and natural. This product cleaned them all better than anything I have ever used. The brushes with white tips are actually white again. My brushes have never been softer or shinier. Some days I wear a little BB cream and mascara, others days the full makeup routine so my brushes get a lot of use (read: abuse) with products that are cream and powder based. I will not be buying another beauty blender sponge (I have a dupe I like better) but I will be keeping this cleaner on hand for my dupe sponge and brushes. Expensive but worth it. After all, ladies, our brushes have been an investment too.

I was very hesitant to purchase this product, I had fallen in love with the Beauty Blender and wanted to make sure it was cared for in the best way (It hurt me enough to spend the $26 CAD on a sponge, let alone $23 CAD for the cleanser!!!) . I bought it in a multi pack with 2 beauty blenders, as many reviewers have, and I’m extremely pleased with it.
I had tried using baby shampoo and the Quo brush shampoo on my Blender and wasn’t happy with the results, the Blender remained stained and discoloured, but I thought that was because of the face products I was using, but this Cleanser took EVERYTHING out of this sponge. It’s not the same bright pink it was, the colour fades with washes, but it is as clean as the day I popped it out of the container. The makeup just washed right out, effortlessly, there was no harsh scrubbing or squeezing required. It does have a lavender smell, which some people may find strong but it disappears as it dries.
It is pricey, but I can rest knowing my Blender is being well taken care of with this Cleanser, but it will remain exclusive to my Blender and not my brushes. My only complaint is the pump dispenser is hard to work with, you can push your sponge onto it but it’s hard to tell how much product is being dispensed, I wish the packaging was better, but this pump also does allow for controlled amounts which is great for something at this price.
