I live in Singapore. This works well if you are prone to acne or you do have oil skin texture or acne marks. But please, do not forget to use any moisturizer or toner after applying this cleanser for more effect. Ive been using this product for nearly two years and have not changing eversince. Love the way how it makes my skin feels smooth after washing it. But ohwell, it doesnt work for dry skin users.. Happy trying girls!

I received a sample of this to try. I was really excited being I have heard how great turmeric is for acne skin. I only used this once. The smell was too strong for me and I was only able to handle using it once. I am not really sure if this would help my acne or not. After the one time I used it I did not notice a difference except for the icky scent.

This cleanser (in conjunction with my Clarisonic Mia) is simply a miracle for my skin. At some point I got wandering eyes and tried some other cleansers for several months, and my skin got worse. I then went back to this one, and my skin improved again, so I know for certain it’s making a difference. I think I’ve also noticed my skin tone is more even when I use this cleanser religiously. I don’t know how to describe it, but beyond a reduction in acne, my skin simply looks better – more polished, more even – when I use this religiously. It also has a somewhat spicy, medicinal scent that I personally really like. Anyways, I’ve tried out a lot of different cleansers in my lifetime, and this is the only one I’ve ever been truly satisfied with.
I know a previous reviewer found this cleanser too drying. Fwiw, I do not have any trouble with dryness using this product on my combination skin, although it’s possible it may be too harsh for those who are very prone towards dryness. I use a bb cream (in the mornings) or jojoba oil (at night) as moisturizer immediately after cleansing.
On to the price: I thought this might end up being too costly for my tastes. I spend enough on those pricy Clarisonic brush heads, so I’m always hoping to curb my spending on other skincare items. I first purchased this cleanser for $12 CDN at a local health food store, and the bottle doesn’t look that big. However, I was amazed at how long it lasts: a single tube gets me through about a year. This is probably because it’s a gel that foams up quite a bit. You really only need a dime-sized amount. Although this cleanser is available at a lot of health food stores, it can be purchased much more cheaply online.
I find the container is poorly designed. It has this awkward slim shape that you can’t really stand up on end. However, I picked up a cheap container (PE tube from Muji) that I transfer this into. It’s working out really well and is especially convenient for travel.
I’m updating this review in August 2014 because I’ve now been using it for two and a half years, and it’s still HG status. I’ve even got my boyfriend using it (with his own Clarisonic Mia, and jojoba oil to moisturize afterwards). He has extremely sensitive, oily, and acne-prone skin that has cleared up amazingly well on this regimen. His skin can also tend towards redness, and I’ve noticed that has subsided a lot, which has confirmed my suspicions that some ingredient in this cleanser is acting as an anti-inflammatory (the turmeric perhaps?). Either way, he’s a happy camper, and neither of us are looking to try out new cleansers anytime soon.
Checking in in June of 2016 to say this product is still HG for me. I really love this product.
