I have incredibly sensitive rosacea skin and I am madly in love with this product. The best night cream I had ever used in my life (until I found Age Defy) was Chantecaille’s Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask. (I know the word “mask” is misleading, but if you read the reviews for this product on various sites, you’ll see lots of people use it as a night cream.) When I apply it, I wake up with, pale, lushly moisturized, beautiful skin. It’s very calming and the scent is gorgeous.
Unfortunately, Chantecaille’s cream is $79 for 1.7 oz, which is pretty insane, especially since I’m a graduate student trying to keep my finances in order! So I’ve been on the hunt for a good substitute since July.
In February, I tried a sample of Sephora’s Age Defy night cream. OMG. The jar says “sleeping beauty” on it, and they couldn’t have picked a better way of describing this moisturizer. It’s INCREDIBLE. I wake up with pretty much the exact same results as with the Chante – calm, dewy, soft, HYDRATED skin that looks and feels wonderful. Best of all, it’s $30 for 1.69 oz. In other words, I can buy almost 3 jars of this stuff for the price of 1 Jasmine and Lily mask. It’s a no-brainer; I’m hopelessly devoted to Age Defy! Even when I begin working full-time and have more disposable income, I see no need to go back to Chantecaille when Sephora’s cream is just as good, if not better.
Note: I highly recommend getting a sample of this night cream before you purchase it, especially if you have rosacea or other sensitive skin problems. Every rosacean is different. What works for me may not work for you. But I have so many horrible skin allergies and deal with horrific dryness; this could at least be a good starting point for someone who battles the same issues.

This is a nice moisturizer. I like its scent, so that’s a plus for me–sensitive types might not like it as it’s a bit strong.
UPDATE: I just finished my 1st jar of this cream and purchased my second from Sephora. I had stopped using it during the warmer months, then forgot I had it. Recently went back to it and boy, I realize how nice this stuff is for the price. I wake up with smooth, plumped, evenly-toned skin when I use this. This is a great buy.
