This is one of my all-time favorites! I bought this when I visited Paris back IN the DAY! Like, circa 1998 — and I still have it! Granted, I do not use it everyday, or even every month, but the stuff lasts! Of course, the applicator on today’s version is of the spritz/spray/atomizer variety, whereas my aluminum bottle allows you to apply on pulse points through a pin-pricked hole (I think Fragonard realized that people used LESS product this way, so they changed the applicator. Gotta get that repeat business at a higher rate! Ha!).
The fragrance is a warm lovely, and oh so pure. It’s vanilla-y, and complex. I swear it smells like vanilla extract, that’s how pure it is. I love to wear in the crisp air of fall and winter, and I get so many compliments. I love to smell mySELF! Such staying power it has! A dab will do ya. It really soured me on run-of-the-mill department store fragrances, and made me realize that there is so much beyond what we are readily exposed to. This is one of those sexy fragrances that makes people want to get closer. When I’m back in France, it’s going down at Fragonard! (I know I can get online, but would be so romantic to get in person — when I finally can swing it.)

It smells really sophisticated but not too heavy.

Since I love expensive niche products, I am honored to own this peace of magic. It is a beautiful vanilla, coconut, amber exotic scent, which keeps you feeling warm and cozy. It is especially great for cold seasons and is probably a more of an evening fragrance. I love the Fragonard’s packaging, which are very beautiful and at the same time highly convenient, which is a combination hard to find. And this scent is worth all the money you pay, it’s a real beatitude.
