This is a nice warm deep red with gold shimmer to it. The polish applies well and is streak free. There is nothing really special about this polish, i think i have one too many red shades. That said, overal it is a nice colour and will look good on most skin tones.
One last suggestion for a red swatch…
With an overnight applying base, i would recommend swatching the blue polish under the red shade with a gentle (do not ask me to wiper at the nail) stroker in the center of the shade. Allow this to dry and then put on new eyeliner.
Highlights:
This bright red is pale at the beginning and reaches deep pink in finish.
At the bottom of the huckle your lash line makes the foundation appear longer.
Stains remove easy with a firm finish.
Deteriorates any frizz where you shine it with this soft patch.
Leaves the bristles soft and if she’s rubbing all over the top it makes the base look small in places. This is a neutral colour that is nearly impossible to avoid as the base makes it harder to mess up.
Not essential for the price – just not necessary at all.

Zydeco is an oversized arching creme that has been shown on our product page recently in the “Single Face Use with eyeshadow” section. If you use this in normal dark eyeshadows (or slightly pale days) you will be looking quite similar to it and look much easier to find.
You may use it a couple more times before you are ready to try it out as an everyday eyeliner (without applying top coat). The colour works well for people who wear flatheads, light pigmentation and have flat auburn hair.
Zydeco matte is a,yes, OPRO 64G blend that does quite well with dual eyeshadow bases (should work well for both cheeks). Good value for money if you want a budget-friendly face liner and liner that blends well with your swatches without scratching your glass face. And in conjunction with max face mattifying this formula gives the perfect gloss with good gloss payoff. The swatch is tried and true for everyone with a UVbillary. Everyone has a potential one eye exposure per day!
Note: Again, this is not essential for the price – just not necessary at all.

All I can say is WOW!!! My HG vamp color!! This is a warm-toned, dark garnet red with red microshimmer. I have slight yellow tones in my fair skin and this color did wonders for making my hands not look sallow. The application was a dream – very slight streaking on the first coat but totally opaque and even on the second. And it looked like GLASS when I was done – even BEFORE the top coat which I then added. I did have some trouble with the smaller brush but I switched to the prowide from a different bottle on the second coat and application was much easier. I think there would have been fewer streaks on the first coat with the prowide brush. I can’t comment on the wear yet but I expect to have tip wear by day two as I type all day. This would be a definite repurchase if I ever ran out. Two thumbs up!!
EDIT: Going on day #6 of this manicure and the only visible sign of wear is very minor tip wear. It’s still highly shiny, no chipping near the cuticles, and no crazing or cracking of the polish. I believe I could easily get another few days out of this with minor touch-ups at the tips.

I love this color. There are very few colors I feel that way about, but every time I try a different red (always on my toes, I only wear nudes on my fingers) I always wish I had just stuck to this one. Yes, it’s quite dark, and probably more of a winter color than one for the beach — but I wear it year round because it’s so pretty on me. Deep red/burgundy with a barely perceptible gold shimmer to it, it is always elegant. My skintone is a medium Asian olive and it’s very flattering.

I’m just sort of “meh” about this color. I don’t love it, I don’t hate it. It is pretty, but it just didn’t wow me enough to keep it.

Truth be told, I was quite disappointed with this polish. While the colour itself was stunning, the application was far less pleasant. Changing of the Garnet is from OPI’s 2002 European collection and reminds me of a less brown version of Romeo and Joliet. This polish is quite antiquated which may be one reason why it was so disgustingly streaky and bubbly. Anyway, the fact of the matter is that I really struggled to get a smooth finish with this one. Even with three coats, I was less than satisfied. Desperate for perfect coverage, I layered it with Charge it in Milan. The orange undertones in the latter really amped up the deep ruby-russet of Changing of the Garnet for a truly glamorous result. It’s a little difficult to describe the resultant colour but my best effort to classify it would be as a deep sparkling blood jewel. Glamorous without being vampy, this is the quintessential colour for candlelight dinners and fancy restaurants, or any game that requires seduction. I painted my tips and toes with CotG layered with CiiM for New Year’s Eve and had many people (mostly men) comment on how sensuous the colour looked. If you’re dark-skinned, this would look fabulous on you (I’m an NW 35 for reference) and I’m confident it would look equally well on fairer skintones. Overall, I did not enjoy using CotG by its own due to the less than perfect application but will continue to use it layered with Charge it in Milan. The only reason I rated it as high as I did is because everyone else here seems to like it, and I was reluctant to bring the rating down 🙂 Might have been just my luck to get a bad bottle. I won’t be repurchasing.

I really love this color – especially as a winter/fall toe color. It is a true, deep garnet – reddish brown with shimmer. It’s a great neutral red to wear with peep-toe shoes, it doesn’t clash with any I’ve tried so far. The wear is fabulous too – this is a must-have.
