   First off, the gloss is terrible.
   BUT the lip stain makes up for it. Honestly, it was like $3, so it’s not a big deal that you don’t really use the gloss. Use another clear gloss for it.

   I bought the VERY red shade (lover, I think?) and wore it out with my boyfriend. We tested it, and it really is smooch proof! At least for a good while 😉

   This lasts extremely well when you’re not doing too much smooching, and definitely lasts through the day. It goes on smoothly. Very comparable to the L’Oreal Infallible lip stain, in my opinion. They should make more colors!

   I got this in almost all the colors, Ive tried all of the drugstore brands, and like Micheal used to say, “This is it” (funny the oddest thing happened, I have my music at shuffle and Micheal’s “Beat it” came on) All the others flaked off once the gloss faded. With this, when the gloss fades you still look great. Your lips don’t look dryer then hell and every one around you asks if you need a cup a water. You really don’t panic around you bag, rummaging for your gloss with this. Smooch Proof stays on for hours until you eat. I can’t get enough of this I want more colors though, NYC R U listening R U?!

   I know that this product got so-so ratings.. but upon using this for a few hours, I could tell that I had finally found a GLOSS that performs the way a gloss should. Unfortunately I am a smoker (yeah, i know…) and so its hard for me to keep a lip product on for more than an hour. I have tried SO many different kinds of long-wearing lip colors, and they have all failed.. faded in a moment’s time, or disappointed me. Glosses are fun but I rarely am able to wear them all day..and then came NYC’s smooch-proof…

   Well, This product is fabulous! As a smoker, when paper touches my lips its just like blotting the lip color. With this product, the lip color stays on and keeps looking good. I have an issue with the dryness but it’s nothing that a good exfoliation and moisturizer can’t take care of. I use almond oil after exfoliating with baking soda.

   I use baking soda because it is less harsh than using sugar or other rough, grain-based exfoliators.. and almond oil seals and conditions and renews and makes my lips baby soft. After, they feel so soft and I am ready to go.

   I have to rate this product a 4 though, because the kiss proof part of the gloss is somewhat sticky and it came off on my cig all the time, and that is to be expected.. but the lip color itself is still going strong, many hours later. Now, if only they could expand this color line, and make the formula a 2 in 1, then it would be fabulous.

   Other than that, i am very satisfied. NYC is a surprise..you find great items with them and then some items are trash, so you never know which one is going to be great for your needs.

   I liked the packaging, it fits perfect in my purse and its super for on the go last minute makeup. I would repurchase, but i wish there were more colors, like more bright pinks, nudes and some wild colors too, like deep reds, and even lavenders….that would be awesome.

   For the price, its worth a try, and I don’t think that you will get performance this good from a lower-priced drugstore brand. it’s worth a shot – give it a try… you will either fall in love or walk away.

   One thing confuses me.. is it a gloss? A liquid lipstick? A liquid gloss lipstick? hmmm…i love it!
