This color of Petal Pink appears too ‘red’ on my lids, even over my usual eye primer. The product doesn’t look red in the pan, but it applies a dark, sickly, pink on my lids, making me look… well, sickly. You know, like, allergy-eyed or crying-eyes sickly. I tried this dry, so I’m not sure how it appears when applied wet. Sometimes, I find the color of a mineral eyeshadow changes when applied with a wet applicator, so I will try it wet and if it improves the performance or color, I will update this review. For now, I just rate this as average, but mostly because of the color. I also have Ballet Pink by LM (same formula), and it is a fantastic eyeshadow. That was what prompted me to try this in another color, but this pink is a big disappointment to me. Also, Petal Pink is not as nicely pigmented as Ballet Pink when applied dry. Maybe I should exchange this one for the black-gold color….. hmmnnn… 🙂

I purchased recently at Nordies, part of her newest eye collection. There were several colors, ranging from a nude pink to a teal, a black, amethyst, with 6 in all I believe. This one is a true pink (think baby pink) with veins of gold and shimmer running through. They remind me of Mac’s mineral eye shadows, to be honest. I do not know how they compare, as I have not purchased Mac’s version. These vary slightly so what you receive may be different than what you saw in the store. I only purchased one, the Petal Pink. It is light and shimmery when wearing. Depending on intensity I can hardly tell I am wearing anything, but at times I can pack it on with liner and mascara and it looks nice. I have not used it wet. I generally only do my BE shadows wet when foiling, and that is rare. Overall, I am happy. I do wear a base, NARS. With liner and mascara, this looks nice. I would repurchase, and would love to try other colors.
