Absolutely gorgeous deep, warm plum creme, opaque in two coats – it looks black in low light, and really only shows the bottle color in bright light. It lasted a week with only minimal tipwear, and that had more to do with shrinkage. The polish itself is a good not-too-thick consistency and easy to work with. Dries in about 15 minutes per coat. The brush is perfect for my rather amateurish polish application skills. Great shade – I’ll be trying it under some of my sheerer purple polishes, like Sinful I Love You. On the topic of whether the Complete Salon Manicures can really be worn without a separate b/c or t/c, the 2nd pic above is mine; the answer is “Yes, but it looks nicer with added t/c.”

I was disappointed with how this colour turned out on my nails. In the bottle, it is a pretty plum shade but once I finished applying three coats (to even out the coverage and streaks), it turns darker and looks more black in colour. It reminded me of how OPI’s ‘Lincoln Park After Dark’ turned out on me, it gradually becomes darker as you layer on another coat. This didn’t apply as evenly compared with some of the other’s I’ve tried from this line. It’s a little streaky/uneven with application giving “bald patches”. I think this is due to the formula being runnier and harder to control.

I do like this polish, as with all the salon manicure line, but the color comes off as closer to black then a deep plum. If I’m in the house, I just look like there is black polish, but outside you can see its a deep plum. I wish it just went on like how it does in the bottle. And without a good topcoat these polishes chip the very next day (at least on me)
