WOW. this is a fantastic product and shade. I bought this with L’Oreal’s Colour Riche lipgloss in Rich Red to use on models for a student fashion show at my school. The combination looked fantastic on their deep South Asian skin tones, so great that I had to try it out myself. The shade is very much a deep red, verging on berry. It is definitely not a brick or brownish red. The only other red lipstick I own is Nars Scarlet Empress and I find the L’oreal much more flattering on me (Scarlet Empress is much more cool toned). The matte texture is similar to the Nars as well. I would highly recommend this lipstick alone or topped with Rich Red (I find glossy red lips much more wearable than matte).
Edit: Still loving this lipstick, esp. topped with Rich Red lipgloss. I’m excited to wear it more now that it’s fall. I was so impressed by it that I returned my Nars Scarlet Empress – I never ended up choosing it over Saucy Sangria. I found this shade so much more flattering. I apply it straight from the tube at the center of my lips and then use a stiff angled brush to apply it to the edges and fill the rest in.

I bought this on a whim.. and I love it… I thought it was going to be too dark on me.. but nope.. I have already recieved so may compliments on my lippie colour and it does not dry my lips out!! Wooohooo! Normally I wear bright reds.. and so I needed alittle change 🙂
I also bought the same brand in crimson joy and I cant wait so see how that looks 🙂

This product will not come off. My lips look like fat red clown lips from all the rubbing to get it off! I want lipstick to stay on but WHAT? is with this stuff! It stays on forever and ever and it will not come off unless you use something very hard like a Buff Puff or even nail polish remover! Strong stuff! Taht is what I did and it did come off but only after a lot of intense pain. So only use this if you want red lips for the rest of your life! Get out of town L’Oreal.
