The opening for this Dali eau de toilette starts with a touch of apricot in a sea of kumquat, followed by the flowery middle notes (a bit of freesia and lotus with emphasis on the water lily in my experience), then, a base of cedar, musk and amber (I get mostly cedar and some salty musk, no amber). So, for me, it’s heaviest on the kumquat, waterlily & cedar, and I agree with the floral aquatic designation.
The wear time of this one is particularly short even for a toilette–one to two hours on clean hair and you can barely detect it, otherwise I would give this dry & lightly sweet “Mediterranean” concoction “five stars.”
It’s a lovely scent on me–beautiful for Summertime days, but I doubt I would repurchase it. Also, like some of the other Dali line, I feel this one has a slightly artificial/ozonic note to it (but I like it!).

A refreshing and beachy fragrance a little different than you expect. At first there’s a sharp citrus, enhanced with sun-warmed juicy blackcurrants and sweet apricots. Then a salty aquatic floral heart that sits close-to-the-skin. Softly fades to a light cedarwood and a hint of clean musk.
There something artificial and electric about it I enjoy. Its like the way a really memorable holiday is exciting but somehow surreal and dreamlike from the rest of your life. I think the bottle reflects that too – it glows like an ice carving in miniature size. Amazing how the ad copy, the perfume and the bottle all came together in one theme. At a time when fashion seems to be all about irony and opposites (bold dominatrix bottles and rebellious adverts with a 30 minute don’t-look-at-me watery fruity floral inside, its confusing LOL). Its almost an art form to get a perfume that smells the way the marketing describes it, and really works with the bottle too. I love how it unfolds in a classic 3-act perfume structure. Its like a journey, an experience rather than an outburst. I get so annoyed at those one-note quickie fragrances that cost a bomb but smell like you brought a cheap body spray.
Gets me alot of compliments. Total 4 – 5 hours on my skin.
I think its becoming hard to find now but here are some other fragrance acquaintances in the same social circle you may enjoy:
– Secret Wish by Anna Sui (both have apricot, blackcurrants, woods, both were designed by the same perfumer Michel Almairac)
– Incanto Bliss by Salvatore Ferragamo (both have Kumquat in the top notes)
– I Love Love by Moschino (has sharp grapefruit and lemon in the top notes)
– Light Blue by Dolce & Gabanna (aquatic woody drydown)
– Cool Water by Davidoff (aquatic lotus floral)
– Womanity by Thierry Mugler (salted figs).
If you like these kind of perfumes I think you’ll love Sea & Sun in Cadaques.

On my skin I don’t get any of the fruit notes sadly. On my skin the water lily and freesia are at the forefront.
This really does smell like the sea and sand. Somehow, it smells salty like a breeze right off the ocean. My X-husband and I used to have a condo right on the beach in Avalon, NJ and the breeze was fresh and salty off the ocean and this perfume takes me right back there.
This isn’t one I will wear very much, but, it’s very nice and it perfectly embodies the ocean.
