If you’re looking for a Taylor Swift-esque bright red lipstick, then look no further!
This lipstick is not for the faint of heart, or for someone who wants to try the red lip look for the first time and wants something more subtle. This is the lipstick for someone who wants that bright POP of color, and it delivers, even on my NC35 skin tone.
There’s nothing blue-based about this lipstick, which is probably one of the reasons it stands out so much. It’s definitely a creamy vibrant orangey-red that applies very smoothly and pigmented even upon the first swipe. Because it’s so creamy, there’s light feathering after a couple hours, so a lip liner might be needed for a cleaner look.
It has an okay/normal staying power. After a few drinks and a meal, a touch up is definitely required.
This is definitely my lets-look-fun-and-summery day out lipstick. For an even more bolder look, I pair this lipstick with the NYX Snow White as a light base and get this vibrant, slightly cooler toned bright red (think Wet n’ Wild Stoplight Red, but even brighter!).
The only gripe I have is, because of the orange red tones, there’s no teeth whitening going on – if anything, the exact opposite happens. Boo! But there are some days where this color is too enticing and I wear it and put my hands in the air and wave em like I just don’t care.

Love the bright pop of orange-red color against my medium skin. Makes me look younger and brighter. It’s easy to apply and easy to swipe off. It has a bit of sheen to it which I like.

Redheads, meet your new favorite red lipstick. Fair-haired girls know it can be challenging to find that perfect bright red, and nobody knows this better than a redhead. Nyx’s Eros is a bright tomato-y red, and perfectly compliments my warm porcelain skin. It’s a true bargain, $3.99 at my local drugstore, but it feels like a much more expensive product. The tube is short and classy black. The color is smooth, creamy, and highly pigmented with just a touch of gold shimmer. I lined my lips first with Nyx’s retractable lip color in Ruby, which is a great base for this lipstick, and finished with a blot. The color has a nice matte look that lasts for hours without reapplying, even after eating and drinking. I kept checking my lips because I could see color being left on my drinking glasses and napkin, but it was still perfect and clean-looking. I’m not typically a lipstick person because I don’t like high maintainence color, but I felt very confident wearing this. Truly a statement color, truly gorgeous for a redhead.

I purchased this on sale for $3.99 at London Drugs. You really can’t get more inexpensive than that. I personally really like this lipstick. It’s moisturizing and the colour pay-off is awesome. I will say that the only downside is that needs to be reapplied throughout the night. The colour is more of a bright coral red over a vampy red. And this DEFINITELY needs to be worn with lip liner to prevent feathering. I use Nyx Eros in conjunction with a maroon-coloured lip liner and it gives my lips a nice ombre look.
I would recommend this for anyone who is looking to try out a bright red lip, as it is decently priced. Off-set it with a neutral eye and a black dress, and you’ll rock a killer look.

I like this color. I was looking to build up a red collection and this caught my eye. It’s a more orange red, but I find them to be easier to wear. It’s warm, bright but not electric, and glides on smooth. I like Nyx lipsticks for the most part. The formula is very rich but not chalky thick. Sometimes I see a little sheerness and shine, but the color covers just right. Just need a liner to keep this in check. I chose Plush Red Slim liner by Nyx, it’s perfect!

Real good for its price

For some reason, I look best in warm reds, and this one is definitely just that; it’s an orange-y red, and it provides an awesome pop of color when I just want black mascara and a mouth with impact! The formulation is darn good for the price. It definitely stays for a long time, and it seems to become a stain, which I don’t mind. It’s a neat color, and I’m glad I have it in my lipstick rotation!

I very very rarely wear mens cologne. Most mens scents have a heavy cologney after shave type vibe that i simply loath so i normally wear womens fragrances. Just check my reviews. There are some good mens scents but this isnt one of them. Upon first spray i get that ubiquitous cologne vibe and a big rush of mint. Uggg. Lots of mens scents have a note of mint. The tonka is evident and makes the fragrance smell some what of a big vanilla cookie or a box of nilla wafers. There isnt much left to say other than blah. The bottle though is really cool and a very nice shade of blue. I eventually just threw it in the trash.

Smells expensive, with the price tag to match. A deep, sophisticated fruity-floral, like the rich and successful older sister of the popular fragrances. I think it’s the jasmine sambac that sets this scent apart for me, as it’s also a component in many of my other favorite fragrances. Eros is probably what I’d be wearing if I were both rich and dressed to impress. This and Versace Pour Femme are both such beautifully blended, balanced scents, much more than I’d have expected from a mass-market company that has a thumb in every pie.

The packaging honestly sold me before I even smelt the damn thing haha. This is my new fav summer scent (with viva la juicy!) I usually wear it at night or sometimes just a bit during the day. People always ask what I’m wearing when I have this one. This will last me a whole day/and or night give or take

I always gift my boyfriend with a new luxury fragrance so he can wear them on date nights and so forth. I had been purchasing YSL for him (which we both really enjoy) but I wanted him to wear something new. I smelled this at Macy’s in the midst of deciding between another new addition to YSL’s line AND Gucci. I instantly fell in love. I knew that the soft yet overpowering notes of this fragrance would mesh nicely with his natural scent. It’s a bit heady for daytime use and I cringe whenever he sprays it early in the morning but at night… it’s definitely very appealing/arousing. I may not purchase it again due to the pricing. A single 6oz bottle was over $100 if I recall correctly.

Almost a soapy floral, really. Different for a men’s scent and really nice. Has the soft feel of an amber floral but with a sport edge that keeps it just masculine enough. Still, might be too powdery soft for most guys. Sort of like clean laundry. I like it, but it might be more the thing for women who wear men’s scents (me and my sister often do) than for men who want a crisp strong scent. The bottle is pretty cool too

OMG this is a stinker, and a tenacious one at that. I tried a sample on my wrist, hated it, and have been trying to get if off my skin for the last hour. Not even rubbing alcohol is doing the trick.

I got this as a sample from a recent Sephora order and I felt like it didn’t smell as good as it did in the bottle once it was worn. I much prefer Armani Aqua Di Gio or Calvin Klein The One. I will not purchase.

Bright? Yes. Bold? Yes. Hooker red? Perhaps, if the hookers in your town wear bright red red. Here in NYC the hookers I see apparently prefer nude lip colors; or as a friend of mine calls it “blow job beige”. Just my observation. For reasons unknown no matter what red lip color I buy the color turns cool. If I buy a warm based red my teeth look yellow. That said IMO on me this looks like a mid point between cool and warm red. This is my first NYX round tube lipstick purchase and so far I’m quite happy. This is not matte, has no shimmer and can be layered for a very potent look or blotted down, as I prefer to wear, for a more wearable look. I line my lips and apply directly from the tube and then either go over my lips with a lip brush or use my pinky finger to blot some product off. I favor red lips and accept the attention I receive from those who either disapprove or are too damn judgmental to comprehend that some of us don’t give a $#it what they think. This is a very inexpensive product that imparts your lips with a glamorous red that has nice staying power with huge pigment payoff.

This lipstick is a bright orange red. Great color, very bold. My problem with this is how bad it stains. I swatched this on my hand and after 4 washes have yet to get it off. My daughter applied this lipstick yesterday morning and after many attempts at taking this off the red tinge is still there. I think this color should be marketed as a stain, one that is impossible to get off. As someone who likes to change her mind and change her lipstick color mid day I don’t like this. This one is not for me.

I don’t mind bright red, but this is really more coral than red. I thought it was going to be a warm red. Nope. Phooey.
