The colour is gorgeous and so is the staying power. If I don’t eat anything too oily, it stays on for hours, even in the rain. It does feel a little bit dry though and it doesn’t last long if I put on lip balm first. Still, one of my favourite red lipsticks.

Fantastic fantastic red lipstick! Stays on so unbelievably well, survives many cups of tea and just about survives lunch! It is a matte but it is in no way drying, which is usually the comprise when you opt for a long wearing lipstick. Pretty easy to pop on (for such a bold colour). It is painfully expensive but I would say it is worth it cause your not having to re-apply a million times a day so probably using less in the long run.
This is a PROPER RED and I am rather pale but I think it works 🙂
Excited to try the other colours in this range!

Bought this on a whim whilst browsing through Airport Duty Free. I’ve never owned a Bobbi Brown lippie before (I’m a NARS girl) and let me say I’m pleasantly surprised.
Colour wise, it is a blue based red in the tube, but only just (See Pic above). On me it leans more towards the tomato/orange end of the spectrum (wore to the office and asked the guys – yes guys – whether it looked more blood red or orange, and it was unanimously orange) which normally would send me running to the hills, but somehow this works!
I have pale skin with pink undertones and dark brown hair, so orangey reds tend to look garrish on me, but like I said, somehow this works.
It is very creamy on the lips, and a little ‘tingly’ and staying power is ok, but nowhere near as long lasting as NARS, and even though it was purchased duty free, at $30 AUS for me it was worth it.
Though not a HG product for me, it is perfect for the office and day wear and would, in my opinion, look pretty good on any skin tone.

I’m actually surprised with this lipstick, I always prefer MAC than Bobbi Brown for years, but this Creamy Matte Lipcolor is just great.
Red Carpet has the perfect bluish tone red, great pigment, the matte texture does’t feel drying like MAC matte and that’s the most important part in red lipsticks.
Great staying power, too.
Highly recommended for red tone lovers, dunno why I discovered this too late cuz it’s not a new product. It also has several pretty natural colors and a bright orange, feels like buying them all! :))
