   Hands up. This is a super luxury product. Glides on marvelously. It’s more like a bb than a foundation. Dewy in a lovely way. You just feel good with it on. It feels just right. It costs a lot. At least in Europe but it’s lovely. !

   This stuff has a good finish. I am oily oily and I love to be that way as I have long given up fighting against it. I use oil every morning and night on my skin and I use this and it is a thin formula so as the previous user said that if you have skin areas to cover then this is not the formula for you. I mix this with my Guerlain invivsible skin formula only because it has an SPF in it and this one does not as I am not a fan of applying suncreen soley because I despise the smell of all of them. This EB formula does leave me dewy but I am just uded to looking this way. I hate the way I look matte and I never thought that I would say that! I took away one lippy as it is pricey and I do love the sleek black packaging but if you like lots of coverage. I wouldnt repurchse only because there are soo many other sheer formulas to try out there!

   Giving lippies for the price as its on sale for $28 on Sephora but only in the shade Deep. My skin is Normal to Dry and will get a tad shiny if its hot but not oily. This works well for normal, dry, and very dry skin. If you are combo or oily you probably will not like the “dew” as it will appear oily. I love using this as a tinted moisturizer over my sunscreen or just as a regular foundation when I am in a hurry. The texture is thick enough like a foundation but it does not cover like a foundation. If you do not have a lot to cover up this will work perfect for you. If you have skin issues you want to cover, this will not cover that. For the price, I picked up a backup to use going into Fall / Winter. It’s still on sale on Sephora website, I might get another bottle, it really is great!

   I love Edward Bess’s products and, although I’m a bit wary of the new ones (it seems like he’s bringing out too many new products too quickly), I wanted this as soon as I heard about it. I’ve used it a few times now and love it. This is EB’s take on a BB/TM, but much better than any of those I’ve ever tried. It comes in a sanitary squeeze bottle with a twist-off cap. (I wish it were a flip-top, but that’s quibbling.) The texture of the cream is light but not at all runny–sort of light-medium thick–and there’s no scent I can detect. It glides on incredibly evenly (no fussing) and it doesn’t take much to cover your whole face. The coverage is slightly more than a TM but slightly less than a light-coverage foundation, and it gives a lovely, polished, but not makeup-y look. The finish is *not* “ultra dewy”–much more satin than super dewy or dewy at all–and it does not feel heavy on the skin. The website states that it contains light-diffusing particles, but there is no shimmer I can detect–in the formula or on my skin–in any light. But wow, it makes my skin look great. Really, really great–healthy, hydrated, youthful, even-toned. I was looking in a bathroom mirror at a doctor’s office (how bad is that lighting?) this morning and couldn’t believe how great my skin looked–even my melasma/hyperpigmentation is really tamed by this (I use concealer, but not as much as I usually need to). I’ve had no breakouts, and my skin feels good when I remove this, not as though all the moisture has been sucked out of it.

   I have this in Light (01). There are only four shades, and light is the lightest–and it’s a perfect match for my 20-ish skin. I’d have to say that this shade is neutral to *very* slightly yellow, and would definitely be too dark for really pale folks. And although it’s not overly hydrating, it is moisturizing, so I doubt that oily-skinned folks would like it, either, or maybe even normal-skinned folks in the summer. The wear is very good–it’s almost 100 degrees here today and it only slipped a bit into my marionette lines (easily fixed), which is impressive considering that I only set it with a phloof of powder–no packing it on with a sponge or puff. I’ve also used several blushes over this, both powder and cream, and detect no difference in wear. Cream blush applies easily without eradicating the foundation underneath.

   This is a product worthy of the Edward Bess label, although the name is a little misleading–it’s not ultra-dewy, it’s not super-hydrating, and it’s definitely not a primer. To wrap this up (sorry it’s so long, but I want to be thorough in this first review), if you have normal-to-dry skin, are not very pale, can afford the price ($56 for 1.79 oz), and especially if you are a woman of a certain age, buy this. It feels great, it looks great, it wears great. It’s what Armani’s Face Fabric should have been and more. I know I’ll be wearing this a whole lot–probably exclusively.

   Update 6/5/13: I really, really love this product. No fuss to put on–fingers work best. No brushes, no need to buff it into the skin, no “making it work.” It wears beautifully, even in 100+ degree weather. And although lots of products say they have light-diffusers that will perfect your skin, this formula really does, and the shade is perfect. My melasma/sun damage looks dramatically better when I wear this–I use a fraction of the concealer I usually need. I find that I’m ignoring my other foundations (Becca LSC and D&G Perfect Finish Cream) in favor of this. And it feels great while I wear it, and my skin feels good when I take it off. Love, love, love.

   Update 6/8/17–yes, I still love this foundation. I have others that I like–Lancome’s Teint Idole stick, Lancome’s original cushion foundation, LMTM–but this is my go-to for shade match, ease of application, coverage, longevity, and appearance. Love. Just love.
