My fav mascara of all times!! No matter what i try, i keep coming back to Guerlain Le 2 (non-waterproof). I have been using this mascara on and off for the last 6 years. It lengthens the lashes nicely, slightly volumizing, it does not smudge. iAnd even if I use this mascara while at the pool, it does not smear. And of course, the packaging! So luxurious! It makes you feel beautiful before you even apply the mascara. It has 2 brushes which is very convenient. I do not use the small one for separating but rather for my lower lashes. Its a pricey product, but it pays the satisfaction.

I loved this mascara.
It lasted me a really long time, but I just can’t afford to repurchase it while I’m in school.
It gave me a lot of volume. Not a bold volume, but more than a lot of mascaras. The length was ridiculous. I already have long eyelashes, but this made them so long that they touched my eyebrows. The definition was perfect. This was bolder than natural, but not full-out bold. I thought it was perfect.
My one complaint is that the tube was silly long, and that this was freaking impossible to get off. It doesn’t say it’s waterproof, but it is. It did not EVER flake or smudge. But it just didn’t come off…. Vaseline, cold cream, bifacils, baby oil, olive oil, nope. MAC Cleanse Off Oil seemed to be the only thing that would get it off, but it still took effort. Oh well. I guess with a mascara this long-wearing, that’s the trade off.
Really excellent mascara

This is a great mascara if you want to achieve a natural look. I’ve had and used up one in brown, and I really liked the color it gave to my blond lashes. But that’s all I can say about the effect. Do not choose this if you want fake lash effect or doll eyes.
It’s a long product (which didn’t fit in my make-up bag) with two mascaras at the ends: one is bigger and the other one is smaller. I’ve only realized after reading the other reviews that one is for length and the other one is for volume. This option didn’t even cross my mind, and I was sure the big one is for the upper lashes and the small one is for the bottom lashes. Well, this seemed rational, and I have to admit that this product is great when used this way. With the smaller brush I could paint perfectly my bottom lashes (even at the roots), which had never happened to me before. I never experienced clumping when using this product, but remember a bit of smudging under my eye. I have to say that I usually don’t paint my bottom lashes, because I don’t know any mascara that doesn’t smudge there. The packaging is really classy, looks great and the product is pleasant to use. I think I’ll buy this again in the future, because I often choose a natural look. If you’re looking for a product with a similar effect for less money, I can recommend High Impact from Clinique, which also gives great and lasting color to your lashes, and looks really natural.

I must admit that I was on the fence about this mascara – first of all I could only gawk at the price. I bought this and my favorite mascara in the whole wide world (Le Volume de Chanel) at the taxfree, and was shocked that Le 2 cost a lot more than the Chanel one. I mean, I knew Guerlain was a very high end luxury brand, but the fact that it overpassed Chanel THAT much in price surprised me.
Anyway, when I first tried it on I wasn’t pleased at all. It didn’t give much length, and the overall look was messy and was all in all very average. I could achieve that with a drugstore mascara anyday. But I started playing with it after I had left my Chanel mascara at a friends house, and found that I didn’t just like it – I loved it! I just found myself having to spend some time applying it and let it dry for a bit before I did anything else. It seriously lengthens like crazy and can make your lashes longer than ever before, while still maintaining a clean, defined look. No clumping in sight, and when I combine this with the volumizing power of Le Volume de Chanel, my lashes look downright fake – but in a good way. People always nag at me, wanting to know what mascara I use, and if you have a good technique and a great mascara, then I find you can easily achieve a result that can (almost) look as good as fake lashes.
My hands down favorite mascaras must be Le Volume de Chanel, Le 2 by Guerlain and They’re Real by Benefit. Over the years I have learned that to get a truly great mascara, you often have to pay up, but would I buy this again if I had the money to spare…? Yes, probably. Would I save up for it if I was broke? Probably not. It’s amazing, but the price would definitely be the deal breaker if it came down to it.

How innovative is this packaging? On one side, there’s the brush that does most of the work – lengthening, curving, and thickening. It does an incredible job. On the side 2 – a smaller brush for reaching into the corners of the eyes and separated the lashes a little bit, giving them definition and polished, clump-free style. That’s the mascara I pick for “red carpet” events. I don’t wear it everyday because I find it very difficult to remove. It’s waterproof, and even with several removals with an oil-based cleanser – I would still wake up the next day with dark dots in the corners of my eye, and tired-looking eyes… Something that can only be fixed by applying more mascara 😉
The other downside of this one, is that even though it is supposedly waterproof, if you do get a little bit of moisture in your eyes (not even from crying, God forbid) – it would sting in your eyes and make you want to cry for real.
Otherwise, it’s the best looking mascara I’ve ever tried, since the “Bad Gal Lash” by Benefit.

I fell in love with the packaging of this mascara and is honestly one of the only reasons I bought this mascara. It is a wet formula which isn’t my favorite so keep that in mind. I have curly (which are very curly and very annoying) lashes so I don’t like wet mascaras because that end up getting on my lid and smudging. This does exactly that but this is the BLACKEST mascara I have used. It has a rubber wand similar to they’re real by benefit. This will also clump quickly no more than 2 coats at best but more than one coat is unnecessary due to it being so black and separating. The small end is iffy the design makes it that allot of product end’s up on one side of the brush and if you make the mistake of using that side, well you will look like one big black lash replaced five 🙂 .

I really like the look that this mascara gives. It is very black. You don’t need a curler with it as it has some kind of adhesive in the formula that apparently curls the lashes for you, just hold the brush in place for a few seconds. It gives a beautiful thick, full look, and is 2 mascaras in one. The bigger side smudges badly, you have to be quite wary and possible prop a piece of card to shield your lid from possible smudges. It does give a nice look, similar to Chanel Inimitable. The smaller side gives major clumping. Le2 won’t last through tears, yet lasts reasonably well without flaking. I would give it 2-3 stars if it weren’t for the nightmarish reaction I had to it! The reason for the one star is that this mascara burns, irritates, and hurts my eyes like nothing else. The first week I was fine. It was afterwards that it became awful! i mentioned this on the makeup board here and other forum members who have tried it said they had the same experience!
.
I persisted using this (had not realized my eye irritation was caused by it then) and then over the days my eyes got a major swelling with little red bumps and my left eye was swollen in the most awful way, disfigured, horrible, it is still recovering. It hurt to blink, took 3 days for the swelling to go down (i went almost a week not using any eye makeup to help it), today it is finally okay. I will try to return it, but if they don’t take it back, into the trash can and never again! Have not had a reaction like this in my life and I have used loads of mascaras. It gives a nice look but honestly I have gotten the same look from several drugstore mascaras.

I love this mascara even though it costs $38. One side has a tiny brush and the other side has a silicon larger brush. I use the tiny side first to really get a lifting action. Then I go back in with the larger side. This side really lengthens and separates the lashes. This formula never clumps of flakes.

I found this mascara hard to apply and the results were clumpy. For something so expensive I was very disappointed. I found that I could only go over my lashes once before they all started to stick together which meant I couldn’t get them looking super long, I then tried letting the mascara dry and then applying a second layer but it turned my eyelashes so brittle I couldn’t layer it that way either. I did love the second little brush, such an awesome idea and makes getting the corner and lower lashes so easy but the actual mascara was no good. I took it back to the shop and got my money back. I’m only giving it a two because of the awesome little brush and the nice packaging.

To start off, my lashes are very thick, long, but difficult to hold a curl. Many mascaras either create the spider-lashes effect, have a formula that is so heavy it makes my lashes droop, or flakes or smudges on my bottom lash line.
This mascara applies like a dream, I can put on more than 1 coat. I tried it at the store without an eyelash curler and it already gave my eyelashes a slight curl, I was in love. This mascara definitely lengthens and gives some volume. I love that it didn’t clump and gave my eyelashes a slight curl without a curler! It also does not smudge on me even in 90+ degree heat. The formula is not too wet, which I like, because I hate it when I get mascara all over my eyes, or when my curl gets weighed down.
I say try it at a neiman marcus/nordstrom/bloomingdales with one of their tester wands before you buy it!
I took a lippie off for the price, it is expensive unfortunately
