My skin is very oily and sensitive. Apart from my skin being very sensitive, my eyes react very badly to some skin products. This is regardless of how far the skin products are applied from my eyes. This is a great product. It sinks in and does a fab job in firming the skin. I use this and then a rosehip moisturizer on top. It got rid of a couple of sun damage spots on my skin and toned my skin beautifully. I used to use a lot of EA products but majority of drugstores do not carry these anymore. What a shame! The brand is great and carries a lot of good products. The good news is that I saw the same product in TJMAXX for 1/3 of the price.

I absolutely love this product, it has done wonders for my dry flaky acne prone skin. I apply it right after I tone my skin and let it sink in for about ten minutes before I apply my moisturizer. It has improved the texture of my skin immensely. Prior to using this serum I had cracked dry skin with the addition of bumps and acne scarring. I have noticed a difference of how much acne I get and how my skin feels. My makeup just glides on now. The only downside to this product is that it is difficult to get my hands on to. TJMaxx sometimes carries it for a discounted price. It’s a must have for me.

I love this product. I first used it about 7-8 years ago and have used it intermittently since then (during periods when I’m organised enough to practice a skin care routine).
After using this product for a couple of nights in row, I don’t just see a difference but my skin FEELS much smoother and silkier, even though I exfoliate almost daily. Visibly there isn’t as much of a difference, but I generally don’t have problem skin so the change in texture is evidence enough for me that it’s working.
I would definitely like to find a cheaper, equally effective alternative, as this is quite expensive and also difficult to find in stores (here in Australia anyway)

Delivers on its promise to even out skin tone! After two days use, I woke up to calmer skin! I suffer from redness on my cheeks (really the only reason I use foundation to cover this up) and this made it almost go away! I am now on the 4th day and am looking forward to the day when i can ditch my foundation goodbye.
There is a pleasant smell to it and it absorbs quickly. There was an initial tingling feeling first few days but it is lessening with each use. I guess my skin is reacting to it, so i don’t mind!
Will try to come back again after longer use.

Well, let me start that I like EA (many of their products are staples in my routine like the Ceramide capsules, the Ceramide mascara, the Visible Difference cream etc). I trust this brand and I thought this Overnight Success would have been another winner.
In addition, with these high rates of reviews I had to try it.
I bought a discounted bottle (….still 20 £ for 30 ml is not a steal!!!!!!!) but would never pay full price (say £ 40) for it, it’s totally not worth.
First and foremost – as another reviewer noted – the scent. mind you that I LOVE scented skincare, and I prefer scented creams to unscented ones.
That said, this product STINKS. Really I can’t get past the odour, that lingers for hours after application. I really do not like it.
The product itself is not bad. It’s quite smooth (packed with silicones) spreads evenly and gets aborbed OK. I would not say it’s a real serum as it does not sink in.
You can skip your night cream when using that as it’s moisturizing enough.
However, it did nothing “new” for my skin. I expected to get a smooth skin via exfoliation – it is said to contain exfoliating agents similar to the Clinique Turnaround cream.
I have been using this Overnight Success for two weeks now, trying to be brave and endure, notwithstanding the awful smell. But nothing notable happended, and I will finish the pump bottle on my hand I guess.
Disappointed, all in all.

Pros:
-Great on dry or combination skin.
-Great on acne skin too!
-Made my skin smoother and much brighter.
-Wonderful lavender smell.
-Price is not too high or to low, depending on where you get it at. (I got mine at TJ Maxx for a decent price.)
Cons:
-The bottle is small, especially if you paid alot for it
-Also you can’t tell when the product is done, because the bottle is blue and not see through.
I love this product!!!!! The first product ever in my life that I saw instant results! I have a bad combination of dry and oily acne skin. My skin starts out dry after I have cleansed my face and then later on in the day it gets oily. So it is not a good combination of oily skin on top of my dry flaky skin. I’ve been looking for a good moisturizer that I can just stick to. But everytime the moisturizers that I buy stops working or isn’t improving. So I read somewhere that sometimes moisturizers may be too heavy on the skin. So then I started hunting for a good serum. The first one I came upon was Elizabeth Arden’s Overnight serum. I’ve never tried Elizabeth Arden’s products before, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try it. So I read the product on the back of the box and hoped it would say what it would do for my skin. I tried it that night before I went to bed and it made my skin silky smooth (not oily) and instantly I saw no dry flakes. That gave me hope. Oh and I love the smell too. It has a refreshing lavender smell to it. Very nice. The next morning I got up and cleansed and moisturized my face. As I was putting on my makeup, I noticed right away that my BB cream glided on so much better and easier. There was no dry flakes on my skin!!! NONE! I had a pimple the night before and it minimized my pimple by making it smoother and flatter. I instantly fell in love with it!!! I’ve had dry, flaky skins for the last 3 years and moderate acne skin eversince 11 (I’m 27 now) and this product really works for me! I’ve only been using this for 5 days and I’m hooked already. 2 days ago, I bought me a 2nd bottle just in case it ran out at the store I bought it from. This product has become my HG. I use it every night before I go to bed. So far my skin looks brighter and has helped my makeup glide on so much better. I’m not saying it will work for everyone. But you never know. I just had to share with everyone my experience on this awesome product. I love this product!

I tried this product after finding it discounted at TJ Maxx. The odor is truly overwhelming and stayed for hours. I can’t imagine how anyone can not be bothered by it and I find it strange that the odor is so strong–especially for a product used on the face.
I woke up with soft skin and can see where this product would appeal to those who aren’t sensitive to smells. Personally, I can’t get over the strong scent so I won’t be buying it again. I’m on the fence about silicones….Another review mentioned silicones in the product; the bottle itself doesn’t list any ingredients so it must be on the packaging which I threw out. Some people are sensitive to silicones and can break out. I didn’t but I’ve only used it once. But I would rather avoid silicones if possible.

I love this product because it worked for what I needed. As an older adult (40’s) my face has started breaking out. This is new for me as my skin has never done that before. I had a week long business event that I needed to look good for. Of course, my face was badly broken out. I kept using Lancome lotions directly on the bad areas and then tried to cover them up with makeup. I accidentally grabbed a sample of this in my makeup thinking it was a lancome sample. It worked perfectly, so I checked to see what miricle product it was. It was a sample of EA overnight success. Those bad areas on my face looked good for 12 hours. I have since been using it as a lotion under my primer before I put foundation on. If I do breakout-I put a small amount of this in the area and cover it up with makeup. It works perfect for me when used that way. I have never used it as an overnight cream. I’m on my 3rd bottle. I don’t use a full bottle of anything as I am a product junkie and love to try new products. I don’t plan to ever be without this. I buy it from ebay for around $28.00, which to me is a lot of money, but I like it and don’t want to be without it. I’ve since gone to a doctor for my bad skin-that was also money well spent.

This product works by mainly by gently exfoliating and breaking down clumps of dead skin cells that are deeper than the first few several layers (which are removed by the Clarifying lotion/Toner and/or exfoliating scrub). Much like Clinique’s Turn Around Concentrate. That is how it “renews” or “improves” your skin.
I have always had very large pores and oily skin. A friend of mine told me about Clinique’s version of this product (which does exactly the same) but I tried the Arden version, and it truthfully helped lessen the appearance of my pores and the oiliness of my skin within the first week. My skin is actually feeling much healthier than it has since before I was a teenager LOL. Even people at work asked what I was doing differently because my skin looked so much better.
The smell is a bit offputting, but by the time I applied my other serums (I apply this one first, right after my cleanser and toner) and my night time moisturizer, I couldn’t smell it anymore.

I bought this discounted at TJ Maxx. I needed a retinol serum to help w/sun damaged skin that was gentler than my Tazorac. Truthfully, there are certain brands that I just don’t buy from and EA is one of them for some reason. None of their products appeal to me. This is just one example. The smell was offputting, sweet like bug spray or something. The serum seemed to sit on the surface of my skin. I stopped using this after a couple of weeks after reading about the silicones. If you want help w/aging skin, get a prescription or try the Avene products that seem to be very popular w/MUAers.
