This is my new favorite everyday shadow. I just love it! I agree with the color descriptions of taupey/cool brown. It’s not too dark, not too light. I started using it in the crease/v with Shore as a base but now I love just swiping it on as a darker wash with nothing else. It doesn’t even need a crease color and for me that’s unheard of. It’s really just perfect. A little bit of drama but very natural and no real “color” popping out. I was in love with Cement before but this one is my new love.
I do have to say that I hate the jar these shadows come in. The opening is too small. BB needs to stop already and get a wider opening for their jars.

this is a medium cool tone brown (it has a touch of grey or beige). I really like it for an all over wash. Its very pretty and wearable for everyday. The website says dark brown but its really not that dark which is good for me.

Im literally swimming in the bust but for some reason my shirt has got a pair of wide heels to look cute and that really weakens my typing. 🙂
Rated 5 out of 5 by aussiepiecko from neat without leave…This is a neat little collection but it does not show up in the pick-me-up form… These little chestpieces can only be found on about one store in NC.

Ash is a medium cool matte brown. I like how the tone is muted but not too grey – just enough grey in the brown to blend with my skin tone but not look dull or too colorful.
I’m very pale (about an NW10-15), so I can’t wear this as an all-over wash of color – too dark for me. I prefer a light shimmer (Ash shimmerwash) as a base, then this in the crease. I dock a point because it dries quickly and I have to be careful not to do a splotchy application.
One nice trick is to use this as a brow color! Bobbi Brown’s cream eye shadows are VERY durable and just a tiny bit is needed for all-day definition. Ash would be good for someone with medium brown hair (cool or ash) because it has no red and very little yellow to it. It’s too deep for ash blonde or pale hair. Make sure you use a quality brow brush to apply, and run a spoolie or clean brush through your brows to blend and soften the color before it dries. Once it sets, believe me…it sets and the color is locked.

Ash is one of Bobbi’s brand new long-wear cream shadows. Her website describes it as “medium brown,” and there is a lovely brown swatch there. Ash, however, is not medium brown. It is more of a light ashy beige. It’s very matte. No sparkles or shimmer at all. I personally think it is quite beautiful, but I do have to admit it isn’t as dark as I had expected. It’s nice, though. I really like the Long-Wear Cream shadows. They do last, and they come in many great shades. Edited to add: I’ve been wearing Ash quite a bit lately and have paired it with severl base shades, both powder and cream, as well as several darker shades in the crease. One of my favorite looks is with Bone matte and Sable or Rich Brown matte. It also looks great with shimmer wash or metallics.
