I wasn’t sure what to expect for my first lip tint. I didn’t want a balm-type that could smear everywhere & luckily, this almost marker-like ink didn’t smear unless there was liquid involved. Unfortunately it kind of makes everything really dry.
And like some others said, the color in particular tends to turn pink sometimes. More so at the beginning for me than after I’d used it for a few months. Mine didn’t dry up that quickly for some reason. It’s been almost a year & it’s still working fine although I admit I don’t apply very much each time.
The balm at the back will most likely break off & become useless or an emergency balm if there are none around.
I’ve used this every single day I had school & I’m not sure what I would do without it, actually. I’d repurchase except for the fact that no store sells them anymore & they’re for some reason INSANELY expensive here. I paid over $14 for mine. I’m only in Canada; it’s not like I’m in Iceland.

It applies bright red but turns to bright pink after awhile. It doesn’t happen all the time but it does pretty often, I’m not sure how but it happens sometimes. I still like it though – whether or not it is the colour that the packaging is, because the colour that it turns into is nice anyway. The fun is all in the uncertainty isn’t it? The balm isn’t spectacular, but it does help to smooth it out and give a slight sheen.

i cant see why this would have bad reviews! i absolutely love this stain as it literally is what it is, a stain. it lasts for so long on the lips, even after a whole day of eating and drinking and talking ill find a slight shadow of colour remains, without reapplying. the colour itself was alot more red than i expected when i swatched it on my hand, but its no big deal cos i put it on lightly, apply the balm then blot, which removes alot of the colour and makes it look like ive not got anything on my lips and they are just naturally very red. yes this can be a taf drying, but all lip stains are! i personally dont find this a problem because i just apply the lip balm it comes with, which is pretty good i must say. the only negative i have is that on many occssions ive almost broken the balm when taking the lid off cos its so soft. a swivelling down thing would have been perfect to protect it.
a must try!! dont listen to the bad reviews!

HATE THIS PRODUCT! Unfortunately this dried out on me in the first 2-3 months. I payed £8 for this although that isn’t expensive, it is for Revlon. The colour is pants and the ‘flame’ colour which you’d expect to be red is a dull pink which for me doesn’t last as long as some of my cheaper stains. The lip balm on the other side is ok but because of the lid packaging i am constantly looking out and making sure i don’t put the lid in the product. Also I’m so confused on the lip balm – lip stain way. Lip balm first or Lip stain first?. I regret buying this so much!:( don’t make the same mistake!

Revlon Just Bitten in Flame is in a red-orange packaging. I’d be fine if the stain remained the reddish berry tint when first applied.
About an hour later, it turns bright fuschia on me. I’m not certain how it picks up the bright pink-purple tone, but there is no orange or berry.
I like to wear a lipstain under my lipstick so that when it begins to fade, I still have some color left. It is fairly easy to use with the marker-like packaging.
It does last about 3-4 hours when I’m snacking and drinking water.
I like to wear the balm separately. I don’t travel with this lipstain so I’ve been working on the balm to use it up.
I’d be willing to try another color, but I won’t be trying Flame again.

Such a gorgeous color, excellent staying power. To a point. It applies well- heavy pigment, just glides on. The problem is getting it to apply evenly, which is pretty damn difficult I must say! Another thing is you HAVE to let it dry in between coats/putting on the balm. If not, it will come right off. If you let it dry, it won’t budge. **reapplication is necessary because it DOES leave lipliner rings after eating and all that.** Be careful of the balm, because all of mine have snapped off.

i mostly like this product. i’ve used it various times(i’ve had it for about a month) and haven’t paid attention much to the color actually. other than yes, once it’s absorbed by your lips it’s not initially what the same as what the ‘wet’ stain looks like. but that’s common sense i think. it stays on for a while(4+hrs i would estimate). it does rub off/wear off eventually. you can tell when you apply the chapstick or if you wipe your lip with a napkin, etc.
what i hate is the outline you’re left on your lips once that starts to happen. really, you start looking like a clown. so, one of the biggest turn offs is having to look in the mirror every now and then to check so i could RUB off the outline some and make my lips all the same tone(or close to it) if needbe. when you put on the stain it also runs in the creases of your skin/lips and has the possibility to turn spotty. if you have this product do a swatch on the back of your hand with just the stain. apply 2coats or whatever your usual is and once it’s dry take a good look. i guarantee it bled out to the tiny creases skin naturally has. so, kind’a eww but, on the lips i think it’s pretty fixable once the chap stick is on, just rub together(lips or w/ your finger) to even out the tone.
overall i would get this again, but once done i will try other products first and see if there’s anything better out there, in the drugstore world. i didn’t have any issues with the chap stick breaking, but i can totally see how that could happen. i would still recomend this to someone, if they can get it on sale or use coupons. not sure it’s worth the price(forgot how much it was but i guesstimate something like $7-9 if not more).

I love lipstains, I love Revlon lipstains but this one in particular disappointed me a bit. When I got this I was so excited to try it on since I wanted a sort of I-just-ate-some-watermelon-popsicles kind of red. Sort of what the packaging looks like. An orange-y red. When I put it on I was so happy because the red on my lips looked so cute, BUT THEN IT TURNED PINK after like 10 mins! 🙁 It was not a bad pink, in fact I think it looked kind of cute, it was a sort of fuchsia pink but then I wanted the orange red color back. Huhu. 🙁

I have no idea why this got bad reviews. I actually quite like it. It lasts a long time! I ran, I drank, I ate, I kissed my baby cousins with it… and it still stayed on. The colour is more of a reddish colour on me, and is slightly orange. I guess that could be a reason why people hated this, but the thing is, I had to apply about two coats, and my lips are pigmented, which could’ve factored into the dislikes since some people have less pigmented lips. I don’t know why, but why would you wear a lipstain with dry lips? Isn’t it obvious that it’s just going to make it worse? Therefore, I recommend you wear this/put it on with moisturized lips, not flaky and dry lips.
Now, about the lip balm on the end. It’s very handy because it makes my lips feel fresh, and it didn’t add shine which is what I like since the shine would add too much definition to my lips (my lips are quite big). I took off one lippie because the lip balm has a tendency to move around and break off, so be VERY careful when you put it on (but then again, it was like 40 degrees celsius here in Canada, so that could’ve been a contributor to the breakage).
