I love this polish. The colour, a dark teal, is simply devine.
I love the bottles as they store well, and I like the slim brushes as well although I know some don’t. For me, most AA cremes are one coaters but I apply two just to be safe!
Individually they are pricey but if you have a store nearby they are priced cheaper if you buy three in one go (think it’s 3 for £17?) which is cheaper than Essie or Opi. I rate them better than those tho and reach for them more often when I want a good solid colour.

This polish is, as the name suggests, a gorgeous peacock blue. In some lights it looks like a hunter green, and in others it appears more blue. I love teals and this is one of the most beloved in my collection because it practically applies itself. One thin coat for opacity and you’re good to go. The packaging looks sleek and stores nicely. It also serves as a nice base for layering polishes such as Essie Shine of the Times, Pure Ice Heartbreaker, and China Glaze Fairy Dust.

This is my new favorite polish! The formula was so easy to work with and it’s super pigmented, it looked great after one coat but I did two for good measure. It didn’t take too long to dry either! I was unsure of whether to buy Hunter or Peacock, but I’m so glad I bought peacock, it’s definitely one of AA’s better colors.

Amazing formula, VERY PIGMENTED, great staying power, awesome brush. I say time and time again, American Apparel nail polishes are my absolute favorite nail polishes on the face of the planet. Peacock is an incredibly beautiful shade of teal that is opaque in 1 coat–you only need one coat for it cover all signs of VNL. This is, in summary, the perfect creme polish. The brush is thin, which I absolutely love because it gives me control over doing my nails, and I can fill in small gaps or missed spots.
It dries very quickly, and the is so vibrant and lasts for days and days. One of my all-time favorite nail polishes. And for $6, it’s absolutely worth every single penny. Will repurchase time and time again.

I had been eyeing this color for a long time, and I am so glad I finally got it. For a while I thought I could find a cheaper alternative, but I couldn’t. Part of that may be that I wanted a creme finish and wouldn’t compromise on that. Even if the formula had been a PITA to work with I probably would have just dealt with it because the color is gorgeous. Thankfully it took only one coat to achieve the beautiful blue-green color in the bottle, and it applied like butter. I applied a coat of Sally Hansen Mega-Shine TC and a layer of Nail Life Speed Demon polish dryer and within 20min it was completely dry. Personally I don’t flinch at $6 for polish as long as the color is exactly what I’m looking for, and the formula is good. My only minor complaint is the brush, which is a bit too narrow for my taste. Still, it didn’t make application tricky or anything; it’s just my personal preference for a wider brush. Also, I *love* the bottles these come in; very simply and chic, but super easy to store.

To be completely honest, I haven’t been all that interested in AA’s nail polish offerings. Too many creams, not enough pizzazz. But after having some sucsess with Poppy, I decided to pick up Office, Dynasty, and Peacock in a three for $18 deal at my local. To call this polish a disappointment would be an understatement.
I will agree with the first review that it is quite pigmented – this was nearly opaque with one coat; though slightly streaky on my right hand. To be expected given I’m right-handed. Two coats and I got the colour in the bottle. The colour is what nets it a second lipstick – a deep, deep teal, leaning more green than blue, at least on me. For someone who wears a lot of black and grey, and who also has very pink nail beds and finger-tips, this was truly flattering. A real statement on my very fair, cool-toned skin (NW10 in MAC terms.)
This is where the positives end. The colour, while beautiful, isn’t that unique, and could probably be duped in a drugstore line, though $6 for a polish certainly isn’t a price to be sniffed at. I could’ve lived with the colour if the formula wasn’t so very crappy. Very goopy, and took forever to dry. Hours after applying two coats, and Seche Vite top-coat, it still smudged if I got anywhere near a hand-held device. It did chip rather quickly, though I have a part-time office job, volunteering where I’m consistently using a computer, and of course, I’m a student who’s often using a laptop. I do not expect a polish to last 48 hours at least, without some tip wear. This did chip within 24.
I found the brush difficult to maneuver which did not help the goopiness problem. I found the brush to be long and very thin, and the handle to be the same. Granted, I’m not the most co-ordinated person on the planet, but given the goopy and rather viscous formula of this polish, the handle and brush left no real room for error.
To top it all off, this polish stained my nails like no other. Maybe I just got a bad batch or it’s gone bad by this point, but I’ll be pitching this in the trash. I will not rebuy, and will not recommend.

Deep teal blue creme. When I bought this shade, it was one of the first in my Fall polish shopping frenzy, and I thought I was going to LOVE it when the season turned. However, I wore it this week and while it’s a pretty shade, it just seemed blah compared to all the other polishes I bought! On my caramel coloring it was neither flattering nor unattractive. I think on someone with fair to medium skintones it would be quite striking. It goes on very creamy and is pretty much opaque in one coat – I used two just because I like the way polish looks better with two. By day five there were only tiny chips in a couple nails, so it wore well. I rated it a 4 because it is a good polish, but I just wouldn’t buy it again because it didn’t do much for *me* in the way of color…
