Scent is so strong. Smells almost like cologne.

Gave me dry flaky skin that still had oil on top. Ughh hate that.
Cleansing power was definitely lacking and did not remove makeup well.

honestly i bought this because i was looking for something that would help me with a few breakouts i had developed on my forehead! huge mistake it literally made my skin so dry! that i started flaking and it did not help me with the breakouts infact it made them worse, will not repurchase and i am seriously considering throwing away what i have left.

Terrible horrible no good very bad cleanser. I really wish i hadn’t bought it. After a week my pores were huge and my nose was covered in blackheads, which has never been a problem for me. I will be dumping it.

This cleanser didn’t work for me. I’m glad I didn’t pay for it (the check-out girl at Walgreens forgot to ring it up, so I essentially got it for free due to her error haha). It wasn’t super drying for me. However, I didn’t feel like my skin was completely clean afterwards. It didn’t draw out blackheads or whatever the charcoal was supposed to do (that doesn’t actually work, btw, there’s no scientific research to back up all these “charcoal draws out impurities” claims). It did help keep my less (not totally) shiny throughout the day though. Also, I’m pretty sure it didn’t help my acne. The main ingredient is sodium laureth sulfate, so I was hesitant to even get this because sodium laureth sulfate, while a good cleansing agent, is comedogenic. I don’t know if it was just me, but I didn’t like it. I’d only recommend this if you have definitely oily skin, no issues with acne, and non-sensitive skin. Otherwise, don’t waste your money. Oh, and the price wasn’t that expensive, it was just way more than I’d pay for a cleanser of this caliber. The scrub in this line isn’t too bad, though.

This is a “new” product, containing Charcoal, and it’s claims are that it “removes excess oil + mattifies skin”.
I tried it once last night and I’m returning it.
This is a a VERY drying cleanser. I have combination skin right now in this late-winter/early-spring season. It appears that it will “mattify” your skin, by completely stripping it. Stripped, dry skin is matte, no? My face was so stripped that in the morning, my face was still tight, dry and rough. (Usually overnight, I get oily.)
This cleanser seems more appropriate for cleaning my car’s tires!
I would only suggest this would be appropriate for very, very oily, strong skins.
