Pros: emollient, moderately long lasting, leaves behind a hint of color, pleasant scent is not overbearing, will not highlight lip imperfections
Cons: can become too soft easily, not budget friendly, not a lot of product for the size so you may go through a tube quickly.
I consider this a safe red. It brings a nice rosiness to the lips and brightens my overall appearance. The effect is delicate and the formula feels luxurious on the lips. The packaging is beautiful and fun to use.

Decent color, decent formula, way overpriced, makes my lips feel nicely hydrated but doesn’t last a very long time.

I have this in the mini version that came in the set they sell at Sephora. My experience with tinted lip balms is limited to mostly drugstore (aka Maybelline Baby Lips) and I can say that the extra bucks are worth it.
I am a red lip addict so I was pleased to receive two reds in the set. I prefer Passion to Cherry because of the slight cool undertone, more flattering for my neutral to yellow undertoned skin. The sheen that it gives off helps make my lips look a bit fuller.
It feels very hydrating going on and the citrus/jojoba oil scent that lasts an hour or two, and I love that about it.
The texture is quite different. Baby Lips are slick (even slightly gritty in the case of the Crystal line). The Fresh lip treatments are slightly tacky when you press your lips together, but not as much as some lip glosses tend to be.
The staying power with the Fresh lip treatments are pretty decent. They will wear off when you eat/drink but the moisture stays even after the colour has worn off.
I would recommend this or any of the other tinted lip treatments as an indulgence. Sometimes I prefer this to the (dozen or so) red lipsticks I have because of I hydrating it is and also because it’s very pigmented. I would say that it has the pigmentation of a sheer to medium coverage lipstick.
Very worth adding to your red lip collection, ladies!

I swore a few years ago that no one needed expensive lip balms.
Oh well.
Passion is the lipcolor I had been lookng for for a long time. I much prefer stains to lipstick, hate lip gloss with an undying passion, and am in constant need of lip balm.
The tint is perfect, a translucent berry red. Not opaque enough to need a mirror for application (like the berry and cherry shade) and enough to probably pass off as lip color. Wear is decent, nothing earth shattering. Im afraid to carry this around in my pocket as if it got too soft I would be so upset and annoyd to have to replace!

I ADORE this product and would wear it for all kinds of occasions. It’s fairly pigmented for the Fresh Sugar family and has probably the most “obvious” wear (above Coral, which is also a lovely color).
I’m a fan of the natural look, and this never feels “done up” at all. It just gives your lips a nice flush of color. Only thing is that the white lettering on the casing will rub away at some point, but that’s really not much of a complaint against the product itself.

I’m impressed with this product. I have it in Passion, which appears to be the most pigmented color, so the price is not really an issue. I don’t think of this as a lip balm so much as a sheer lip tint, something easy to put on in the daytime.
Passion is a really nice color if you have olive skin like me or darker. The lighter colors are pretty but would probably not register that well on my lips.. I’d be better off just using something cheaper. But, in this case, I searched far and wide for a sheer red lip balm or lip stain that would give my lips a nice healthy glow. I had been curious about Lipstick Queen’s “Medieval”, which is supposed to give you that sexy, bitten lip look. Unfortunately, that color was way too light for me, even though my lips are not that pigmented. It just didn’t show up. So I would recommend the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in “Passion” for olive skinned or darker ladies who want that look. It’s actually so pigmented that I would only do one swipe — two swipes and it would look like a lipstick.
About the color – I have warm, olive toned skin. Golds and fuschias tend to look good on me, as well as bright pinks. I don’t usually wear full on matte red lipstick, even though it supposedly “suits everyone”, because I’ve never felt like it looked better on me than a berry or a rose pink. That said, I do think I can wear a little bit of a sheer red flush, just something to warm up my lips and brighten my face. This is that color!

I LOVE berry/red lips for winter. I went to Sephora today and tried this on. I put it on very conscientiously because wanted to road test it, not just swipe it on. Hubby was doing his own shopping so I sat to wait for him. Two young ladies sat on the same bench on different occasions and they both wanted to know what I was wearing. It is a gorgeous berry red color, sheer but very pigmented, ideal for the season. I wish I could buy to, but I can’t afford it ($22.50 for a lip balm?). Maybe, if I get some play money for Xmas. If money is not an issue, do try this.
Mind you, it’s a balm, not a lipstick, so staying power is limited. But it’s soft and luscious. Who wouldn’t want to re-apply it?

I love using the passion tinted lip treatment in the winter. It gives my lips a really nice reddish color. My face gets super pale in the winter so I usually keep one on hand or in my car in colder climates. It gives a more natural look than from lipstick, like a just bitten look. Super moisturizing. Pricey, but good quality.

My favorite of the Sugar tinted balms (I also have Berry and Rose) and the most natural looking red lipstick I’ve come across. The sort of red that doesn’t look too “done” and goes with everything. I LOVE these tinted balms and wish they weren’t so hard to get hold of here in northern Europe – I’ve had friends bringing them home for me from the US. The only con is that the stick melts in high temperatures, but otherwise it’s such a wonder product and an absolute HG for me.

I’m torn, it is the BEST lip anything I’ve ever had, it moisturizes and leaves a perfect tint solving all my lip dilemmas, but it costs almost $25!!!! For lipstick it wouldnt be that bad, but you use it like chapstick, a few times a day and it’s gone in no time… I guess its my current HG but I will be searching for something cheaper!
