I had bought this about a year ago and absolutely loved it. One time after changing batteries I didn’t get the end cap on as tight as I should have… Water got in there and it messed up. After that, I had trouble finding it so I quit looking until about a week ago and found it again, so I repurchased it. I’m not sure what changed in the nearly year I was without this. This time the bristles are really rough and leave my face pretty red and a little sore afterwards. At first I thought it was a thing that it needed to be “broken in” and actually be used to soften up some. I fought through for about a week hoping it would get better but sadly it hasn’t. I read a previous review that the olay spin brush replacement works with this brush. That’s going to be my next thing to try before giving up. The concept of the brush itself I really do like. Just wish the brush wasn’t so rough on the face 😕😔

I bought this in a kit that came with the Oil Free Purifying Cleanser. And the two have worked together to miraculously clear up my skin! I have had adult acne for a decade and nothing fixes it for long. Am on 0.05% tretenoin cream at night and take 100mg of minocycline every day. The efficacy wire off and in desperation I bought this kit when the cystic acne returned. And it’s cleared up my face almost entirely in ten days. Fingers crossed that the efficacy lasts

I bought this on a trip to Walmart because I had been wanting to try the olay spin brush but it was out of stock so I grabbed this cheaper alternative instead. I don’t use the face wash that comes with it because I have cystic acne and only my medication prescribed by my dermo helps with that. I used my normal face wash. The actual brush head was painful to use and made my face EXTREMELY red so I gave up hope after a few tries. I went back to Walmart and bought the olay pro x brush I had originally wanted. When opening it I was curious to see if the Olay head brush would fit into the acne free one and what do you know it did! I paid 30 dollars for my Olay brush when I could have paid 8 dollars for the Olay brush head and just used it on my acne free spin brush. Girls if you already have the acne free spin brush but don’t like how harsh the head of it is then just buy the 8 dollar Olay head and put it on the acne free one. Much cheaper! Just wanted to share!

I wanted to love the crap out of this. Really. I did.
So much that even after my skin felt like sandpaper i used it again hoping that that wasn’t the problem.
I have literally tried every type/combination of skincare routines that i can possibly fit in my budget. I have dry skin, and im acne prone. It’s more of a congested, under the skin, a few cysts but not a bunch type acne. Some flesh colored acne. I have zero blackheads. I am just at my wits end with my face. I am ready to just accept the fact that I will have acne forever.
Besides me feeling sorry for myself, I absolutely do not recommend this for dry, sensitive skin. It’s rotating, so it scrapes more, i think clarisonics are designed to be more of a gentle vibration. Never used one but i think thats the case.
First of all the cleanser burned my face like no other. I had an allergic reaction to it. (Could be just me) but it’s a benzoyl peroxide proactiv cleanser knock off. So that was a negative, i actually wasnt going to use it in the first place but i tried it for the sake of not wasting it. That was a gigantic no-no. That’s what made my skin feel like sandpaper. The very first time i used it, i used dr bronner’s peppermint castile soap, which felt super refreshing but was very stripping, but nonetheless the brush exfoliated (my interest in it was the exfoliation) and i used sweet almond oil as a moisturizer like i have been doing for a couple of weeks and my face the next day was smooth, didnt look tight and congested, hydrated, etc. Second night i used the acnefree cleanser and bam every night after that it was like literally felt like there was gravel on my skin. Even with an oil as a moisturizer. I hope this would work better on someone with oily, fairly non sensitive skin. But i feel like maybe i can only used this very few times a month, with some oil or something.
All in all the price is phenomenal for the try, im not upset about it, it was really a great try but i think my skin needs light chemical exfoliant in a toner or something (AHA/BHA) which i went looking for at ulta today but didnt quite find the ONE lol. Either wasnt strong enough, had a bunch of denatured alcohol and parabens, or really bad reviews on makeupalley. Which has never let me down in terms of warnings and being educated on trying something. So sadly, im on the hunt for yet again, a different skin care idea because this one (out of MANY), didn’t work for me lol.
Ps i got it at walmart, it’s a dollar or two more expensive at ulta.

I bought this on clearance a few weeks ago at a drugstore (it’s not discontinued though, thank goodness!!) due to I assume a packaging change. I was a little skeptical on how brushing your skin could make your skin look better, but seeing people going crazy for Clarisonic, I figured I’d give a more affordable product a try before investing in the whole enchilada.
Now I can’t speak to how well this works compared to a Clarisonic brush, but this brush makes my skin feel AMAZING. I tend to use this a few nights a week or on nights where I wore a lot of makeup over the day. For cleanser, I use the AcneFree cleanser that came with the brush, but I imagine anything you use will work fine. I follow the directions (apply cleanser all over the top of the damp brush head, put the brush on your face and turn on) and proceed to work the brush over all of my face, concentrating on the areas that I break out the most. I use the high speed on my chin, forehead and on the sides of my nose and the low speed on my cheeks and the top of my nose. Like it says on the box, try to limit the cleansing time to a minute, after that you’re just irritating the skin!
It’s really amazing how clean this brush gets your skin. You will notice lots of dead skin and then the remainder of the days makeup! I then wash my face, clean the brush (do this thoroughly!) and then continue on with my nightly skin routine.
Now this has made my skin softer, decreased the amount of blackheads, and decreased the severity of my acne. I still do get breakouts (due to hormonal factors) but I do find that they come up to surface quicker and are smaller than my usual ones. Usally it takes several days of spot treatment to take care of my zits, with this brush, my usual BP lotion zaps them overnight.
So yes, I love this brush, its a great investment for those who want a Clarisonic but it’s just not in their budget.

I just used this brush and have to say I was shocked at what was left on my face after washing with a washcloth and cleanser, then a make up removing wipe. I use a stick foundation with a light dusting of face powder. I have acne prone skin above my eyebrows and on my chin, otherwise have no other issues. I hope this brush improves on the acne over the next few weeks. I can’t complain about the price, you could buy a ton of these brushes for the price of just one of another brand. I did not follow up with a face lotion or cream after using it and my skin is baby soft and does not feel dry or tight. However, I used cool water on my face, as hot water will dry your skin. My face was very slightly pink after using it, but I attribute that to the motion of the brush bringing blood to the surface of the skin. Overall, I really like it and hope it continues to impress me.

I purchased this not wanting to spend 100+ or even 40 on a cleansing brush. At first it dried out my skin, so I just used a little more moisturizer. It’s only been about 3 days and my acne prone skin significantly cleared up. It’s amazing.

I wanted to try the cleansing brushes so after looking at reviews I picked up this one. I will definitely say it takes off a ton more than my normal cleanser & washcloth does – which is great! I use a korean bb cream most days which can be a little heavy on the skin and probably best to get off as thoroughly as you can at the end of the day. However, I do think it is maybe a little harsh on my face (I don’t have sensitive skin but if you do I would be cautious), and I haven’t seen a ton of improvement yet in breakouts etc.. but I will update this if I remember after using it a bit more.

This product has worked wonders for me. I don’t have the money to blow on a Clarisonic, but this really helped clear my face. I noticed results after about a week or so. Now you can barely see my breakouts or pores. Since I started using this along with my St.Ive’s Green Tea Scrub, I haven’t broken out at all. Even my mom said she noticed that my skin was clearer. This brush really gets everything out of your pores, and makes my face feel so much cleaner. All in all, I love this brush! 🙂

Somewhat comparable to the Olay and Clarisonic brush. Essentially does the same thing- exfoliates with a cleanser of your choice. Would not use every time you wash but it helpful to incorporate into your skin routine a few times a week.
